Replaced a Ring Video Doorbell 2 which was consuming battery, about 6% a day (this did not happen when new). New battery did not make a difference.The Ring Doorbell Plus has great battery life, consuming about 1% a day. Video quality looks good and sensitivity settings work fine. Head to toe view lets me see packages sitting close to the door. So far I am satisfied with the upgrade. Install was easy. Same hole pattern so no new holes needed.

Came with a 30% battery charge so it installed and set up easily. Charged the additional batteries and swapped them out the next morning. Works like a charm

Great doorbell
This is my second ring doorbell and I love it. It provides crystal clear view of who is at your front door The sound quality is excellent. The battery is very easy to remove to charge and it was very simple to hook it up to my Alexa echo. One criticism is when mounting it I removed my old ring and the screw openings on the new ring did not line up to what I previously drilled. If they had it would have made it much easier to install.

Good Unit with One Little Flaw
The doorbell operates well and gives a broad picture of the front and porch surface. Other than an occasional tone when someone walks up/down the street (not all the time!), it picks up an image of someone walking up/down the driveway. The ring tone, for those who ring the bell, is a prominent tone that sounds through the optional chime and through our smartphones. The only problem that I can note is that we have to change the battery more frequently than anticipated. Luckily, I purchased a spare battery and a charger so that one can be charged while the other is in use.

Very nice video and sound doorbell.
This doorbell works nicely to view and capture visitors coming to my door. It also gives a nice panoramic view to my front yard and the street. Night vision is just adequate but OK. The voice capability is another nice feature.I did find that the setup was a little tricky, asking me to go into my phone settings to complete the setup process. The setup videos I watched did not show this.

Easy Setup and Top-Notch Security â A Must-Have!
Iâm so glad I upgraded to the Ring Battery Doorbell Plus! Setup was quick and easy, and I love that itâs completely wireless. The video quality is super clear, even at night, and the head-to-toe view means I can see both visitors and packages at my doorstep. The motion alerts are fast and accurate, and I like being able to customize the zones so Iâm only notified when it matters. The removable battery makes recharging simple, and it lasts a long time between charges. Overall, itâs stylish, reliable, and makes me feel much more secure at home. Highly recommend!

Good basic home doorbell camera setup with an intuitive app
The ring doorbell plus is a good investment and will serve the needs of most homeowners.I have mine placed where a traditional doorbell would be placed.The flexible monitoring software allows you to set ranges of view to trigger an alert and set overall sensitivity. This allows you to avoid getting alerts for non-relevant behavior, and to turn up the sensitivity if you are concerned for some particular reason.The audio quality is good, the picture quality I would say is very good. I have been able to zoom in on stills from the videos with a relatively clear picture. When using the app, it is also easy to communicate via audio with someone who rings the doorbell.If you use a device like an Echo Dot, which I do, you can interface the Ring with the Echo Dot to have an alarm sound when someone rings it like a traditional doorbell.I’m pretty happy with this purchase.

I previously was using (without) issue the standard Ring Battery Video Doorbell (in copper colour); and bought the Battery Video Doorbell Plus when it went on sale during Prime Day.It has been a game changer, and is better in almost every way:1. The Field of View is SIGNIFICANTLY greater.I live a top a flight of stairs, and often when I had deliveries, I previously couldnât view or be alerted of deliveries because the camera view of the standard Ring Doorbell didnât reach the floor.The Video Doorbell Plus solves that problem as the field of view reaches from the floor to the roof. Maybe an extra 30 or 40 degrees improvement in field of view vertically. My floor to ceiling height is around 2.5m.Lateral field of view seems similar.2. Removable battery is a game changer.Having to remove the whole unit to charge for 8 hours with the standard Video Doorbell is a real inconvenience. Being able to just switch out the removable battery in the Doorbell Plus so there is no down time, is significantly more convenient.The battery still uses a micro-USB to charge. Donât know why Ring isnât using USB C by now (cable is included though)3. Less lag when going to Live View.I found with the standard Ring Battery Video Doorbell, it took up to 30secs to go to Live View when someone was at my door (usually around 15 to 20secs). By the time I connected the person or deliverer was gone. The Doorbell Plus allows me to connect to Live View in 1/2 to 1/3 of the time previously (5 to 10 secs usually). Significantly less frustrating.I donât know whether the removable battery will last as long as the internal battery of the standard Video Doorbell. If there is significant decrease I will update my review.I liked the copper colour of the previous standard Doorbell (matches brickwork better), but I can buy removable faceplates I think.Overall, the Video Doorbell Plus is better, more convenient and functional, than the standard Ring Battery Video Doorbell, in almost every way.When on sale during Prime Day (with 40% off), the price of the two were almost similar. I canât recommend the standard Doorbell if you can afford or can get the Plus version on discount. Itâs better and less frustrating to use in every single way.

Swapped out a standard Ring doorbell for the plus model. Very easy to install. And works great. Didnât have to do anything apart from removing the old one and adding the new one. Much better field of view now. Can see packages.

It was easy to install and get working. The product works well and has a great viewing angle for both people and parcels. It has gone offline once for no reason; however, I can live with that if it’s only once. One improvement would be to fix the geofence bugs. It doesn’t work consistently and notifies me that I am at the door when I am leaving the house, which is annoying. I have mine hooked up to Chime Pro and have subscribed to the Protect plan. I would buy it again.

I purchased this camera after an incident at my place. I’ve mounted the camera using a compatible bracket on the front door. So far, so good. What I didn’t realise though is you need to purchase a plan to store video footage and use features like doorbell calls to your phone. I didn’t even realise there was this feature as the instructions never mentioned it. I got a bit of a fright when a chime went off very loudly on my phone as someone was at my door. They do give you a month free subscription from date of purchase with these features which I didn’t notice at first either. Check their website first to see what features you want and what plan is best. I didn’t do that, when I should’ve done so. Although I wound up purchasing the standard plan subscription which works out cheaper to pay annually. So this is a great camera, but if you don’t purchase a plan it’s only as good as seeing who is at the door. The incident I had the police wanted video footage, so you’re best to get a plan with it.
