Ease of use and getting ready
Received my new mower yesterday B8721S2 – took it out for a spin this morning – short assembly, notice this model is a No Prime, No Fuel Cutoff Valve, No Stop Switch other than the handle, and no other throttle control other than holding down the stop/start bar as usual. Once got the handle up and in place, filled with oil and filled with gas – held down the start/stop bar, pulled the recoil starter handle and we were off to the races, on about a 3/4 pull. The speed of the self propell part is a little fast on solid surfaces, but in the grass provides more than enough pull to get it thru the thickets of grasses – all in all works pretty good.

DON’T BUY NOTHING BUT FRUSTRATION
Please refrain from buying this machine, the reason being I bought this machine so I could use it on Father’s Day weekend, and as soon as I took it out of the box, I noticed a problem. The machine has a wheel lifting setup where all wheels are controlled by a single lever. However, I found out that this lever is poorly made. There’s no other way to lower and raise the machine so im stuck with it on the lowest setting, so I can’t use it. I went on the PowerSmart website to get a replacement piece which I was able to order for an additional $12 after the $10 part price. I am now still waiting on the piece, its now/11 and I just got a FedEx notice that a label for shipping has been created, but nothing delivered yet. This is ridiculous, and of course, the lawnmower isn’t returnable, so unless you want to be frustrated with this item and the cheap parts, steer clear, bad purchase.

Started on one pull right out of the box!
I just needed a rather inexpensive mower to get to areas my riding mower can’t, and this fits the bill after extensive research. Very easy to set up – about 5 minutes. Manuel’s are worthless. Fill with gas & provided oil and go. Started on one pull – unbelievable! I have had Toro’s and Honda’s and one pull would be rare. Loud, quick and plenty of power. Plan on taking care of it with oil changes and draining gas in winter. If it breaks down, I will update.

Do your homework on low budget mowers
Unfortunately not a good experience with this Powersmart product. I purchased this mower knowing it was on the low side of the budget, but still had a healthy expectation it would be fine for the small lawns that we have.It arrived as expected, on time, no visible damage to the packaging so all looked good. Set up was very simple, just the handle assembly and a couple of clips, the oil was included as a separate item for you to add yourself. It started on one pull, I loved that, but immediately noticed it looked like the drive wheel was out of alignment. Sure enough, it didn’t roll properly and struggled with the self powered drive.I contacted Amazon who said to contact Powersmart as the item was non returnable and it would have to be a warranty issue. I called Powersmart who said it sounded like the axle was bent and the only support they could offer was to ship me a new axle that I would have to install myself BUT it was “out of stock”. Back to Amazon who after hearing what Powersmarts option was, gave me a full refund and said they did not need the mower back.The outcome, I’m back to mower shopping and have this one to either try and repair, or donate to someone who can.Also to be shared, I did buy the Protection Plan but that only starts once the manufacturer warranty has expired so that proved of no use and Amazon also refunded that to me.I was pleased with Amazons response but disappointed by Powersmart’s lack of options and customer service, so take your time and do some homework on if you think the value equals the potential risk of the lower budget options.

No side discharge. Was not aware of that when I bought it. You could not tell from the picture. It’s a nice machine so far.

The lawnmower was easy to assemble. It is easy to start and well built. We like that it is self propelled! No problem mowing the lawn now. We give it 5 Stars!The only problem was the Amazon driver delivered it to the wrong address. The owner where it was delivered, could have kept it, but was honest and brought it to us.

Poorly made
Right out of the box added gas and oil. Started on 1st pull. Tuned off and oil leaked out under mower deck where blade goes into engineLeaks oil when not running. Non-transporting back to China but Amazon made it right. Cheaply made. Wheel tread is plastic and probably have slick wheels after one season.
