Great cleaning crew for substrate in my shrimp tank
I ordered this to grab some of the scuds in my 10 gallon tank and transferring them into my 29 gallon tank without having to purchase more. They help cleaning the substrate and reproduce rapidly. Love these little guys.

Very durable tube – Bulb lifetime questionable.
So, the manufacturer’s box this came in was utterly destroyed, but I was happy to see the tube, bulb, and tips were fine! The tube is incredibly tough, which is nice, but I’m not sure how long the bulb is going to hold up. I like how the soft tips are removable. Nice for concentrating delivery of food, or blasting away debris.

Good for target feeding
Item works as it should. I actually have freshwater tanks and recently acquired a pair of super picky pygmy wc sunfish. Given how slow these guys move, they could well be anemones, and they were getting outcompeted by their dithers. This pipette was perfect to target train them to take the frozen shrimp directly, so the shrimp went into their stomachs and not into the dithers’ gullets. I’ve been using it for every feeding and haven’t noticed any issues with a lack of suction, it getting dirty or leakage. Personally I pushed the bulb onto the plastic pipe pretty far and made sure the tip was on snugly. The tube was too long for me, so I did cut it down so it fit in my 10 gallon better, but I’d imagine the length of the tube would be great for bigger aquariums or ones with more space overhead (mine is on a rack with limited space). It also comes with an extra silicone tip in case you lose one, which is nice. You could use it for cleaning tight/small areas of your tank too but I have another one I use for that purpose and this one is strictly for target feeding.

A snug fit is a good fit
The pipette is a perfect length for our small 3 gallon fish tank, as it has more than adequate length to it to keep hands far enough away from the water while angling and maneuvering the pipette around rocks and plantings. It was a little difficult at first to attach the bulb to the pipette, but squeezing some of the air out of the bulb and then angling the bulb onto the pipette before pushing it worked for me. The bulb and pipette fit together very snugly, which is beneficial to keeping a strong enough suction. And as another reviewer indicated, pushing the pipette further in to the bulb, about 1″, will help ensure the bulb and pipette doesnât accidentally separate during use. All of the components seem to be very well made and I would expect the pipette and bulb to last a long time.

Works Well If You Insert the Pipette More Than Instructed
The length of this pipette is nice, as is the amount of suction it provides once you have the bulb on. I especially like that the two ‘nozzle’ pieces are silicone, making them easy to attach and unlikely to break the glass pipette with overtightening. That said, the bulb end has some issues. There is a ridge inside where the pipette is supposed to insert to – but it is less than a quarter of an inch into the bulb’s neck. If you insert to that point and try to squeeze it, the bulb pops right off. With a bit of wiggling, I was able to shove the pipette in deeper, thus making it more secure. With that done, it functions very nicely. Cleaning the bulb and nozzle are quite easy, but I don’t have a cleaner long enough to reach all the way through the pipette.
