What types of household items can be cleaned using Scrub & Throw scrub sponges?
Scrub & Throw scrub sponges can be used on dishes, countertops, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, high chairs, toys, pet cages, windows, walls and anywhere else that needs a good scrubbing.
Are Scrub & Throw scrub sponges safe for ceramic and non-stick pots & pans?
Yes! Scrub & Throw scrub sponges are safe for ceramic and non-stick pans. They are scratch-free and all purpose. Use them everywhere. Use them every time.
How do I store these sponges?
Easily! Shipped in a surprisingly compact box, our scrub sponges come compressed and looking like crackers! Don’t eat them though. Instead, rinse them under water and watch them expand!

Perfect dish sponge replacement!
I wanted to find something to replace my nasty dish sponges and these are perfect. Not only are they compostable but they do not hold onto bacteria or any have any smell (even after months of use). They are rough, yet soft enough to not scratch the dishes, and the size is comparable (yet slightly smaller) than a normal sponge by the time itâs been soaked and expands. They dry relatively quick and they soften really quickly as well. They last a long time but will slowly break down after time, however you get so many itâs easy to replace. Great value on these compared to the more manicured ones Iâve bought in the past. Love!

Great value for your money.
I always have a package of these in my kitchen. Great for scrubbing out the sink, my pots and pans, or cleaning the stove top. They are small, which is perfect for how I use them.

Great, but too small
Really great, but too small – would be amazing if they had like a 4âx6â version

Eco friendly and work great!
We love these sponges. Once you learn the amount of microplastics released from a classic sponge you will want ti make the change! We switched to these because they are eco friendly and donât leave microplastics on our dishes to consume. They are quite costly, but one box has lasted us about 6 months and we are only halfway through the box! They never smell even after a week of use. They are quite small, and itâs definitely an adjustment, but use them for a day or two and youâre completely used to it and donât remember any other way!

Great alternative to plastic
When I learned that the non-scratch blue scouring pads Iâve been using are adding plastic to my waste water, I had to make a change. These are small, and they really donât have as much scrubbing power as the blue pads, I decided to do something a little different with them. I placed them on an already used and shrunken Swedish dishcloth and sewed all around the edges and then cut them out. Swedish dishcloth on one side and scrubber on other. What ended up happening is the loofah expanded and I was left with a plump little scrubber that feels nice in your hand.I donât think these will have a long life span, but they rinse clean of food debris and so far donât stink. My husband even likes them! Sometimes you just have to give up one detail to reach your goal of a plastic free or to at least use less plastic.4 stars for cost only. Theyâre expensive.

An excellent, guilt-free sponge! Check your expectations before you use!!
These Scrub and Throw loofahs are amazing! The size was a bit annoying at first, but I appreciate them for their purpose: scrub and *throw* away.Pros:+Small size means you can use them for sticky, yucky messes and toss them in compost or landfill.+Soft side for every day cleaning, scrubby side for difficult messes+They hold soap very well+Expand quickly and can be used immediately!+It’s easy to see when debris is caught in the fibersCons:-Small size makes them difficult to reuse.-They’re not as scrubby as a plastic scour padBest advice I can give is check your expectations. Plastic sponges and scour pads are quite literally designed by humans in a laboratory for scrubbing and absorption. Nothing natural is “designed” in the same way. It might mean you’ll need to apply more elbow grease in certain situations or use a cloth on your counters to soak up liquid, but expecting plastic performance out of a plant will only lead to disappointment. I use regular Dawn with these and don’t have to use more than a couple of drops for one sink full of dishes, or I use Pine-Sol for surfaces and disinfecting.Overall, my experience has been pleasant. I first bought these months ago and will continue to use them; I’ve put them on subscribe and save along with larger loofahs. For everyday needs, I suggest getting a larger loofah. I personally use the ones made by Homug most often, but there are many brands that make them and I don’t prefer one over the other. Get whichever is cheap and well-reviewed. Keep Scrub and Throw, and a larger loofah around and you won’t be caught out!

Tiny little square, Great big cleaning power!
I’ll admit these take some getting used to. They are a decent bit smaller than conventional plastic based sponges sold commercially, so holding them feels more awkward. But they are equivalent to a good dish rag for scrubbing power, and it’s great fun to watch them expand the first time around. They dry quickly and well if they aren’t left in wet areas, and there doesn’t seem to be a moldy smell after multiple uses like with rags. And they compost quickly in a basic heap compost, no chipping necessary. They also last much longer than you’d expect- I’m getting an average of 2-3 weeks out of each one before they’ve started getting shaggy. At this rate a 30 pack will last a bit over a year. Granted, I’m only feeding myself and my man, but a family of four shouldn’t need more than two 30 packs if these results hold steady over time.

To small to be useful.
When I opened the box I thought it was a joke ! These are so small they are not usable.

So much better than bacteria causing sponges.Cleans dishes, pots and pans effortlessly and so much better for the environment.
Kalifa –
Pretty good. I use for the toilet and garbage can and anything gross. Only thing is the sponge does leave little pieces behind but not a big deal since I wipe down with a paper towel after.

There okay but the sponge ones are way better.
