Impact driver cooling fan smells like rotten garbage. Not a burning smell. No clue why, but had to mention it. Wife runs when I use it.I’ve had this kit for about eight months and use it weekly. It’s a basic drill and impact that works very well and good enough for most DIY projects. I will say, you might want to buy bigger batteries for large projects. Amazon has some third-party compatibles that work great and wont break the bank.Have used the impact for several automotive projects and it works great. The drill, well, drills well. I appreciate the fine speed control for starting screws. All in all, good quality and an American company. That smell though. Ugh.

This set has been put to use for a few months now, works great especially for the price.It gets good speed without sacrificing torque, (its only a 20V but it feels like it wants to jump out of your hand)and the light has been very useful for when drilling or screwing in anything in dark places.

Do not buy this if you live in the UK. I have no idea whether this item is good or bad. It came with what appears to be an American charger. There was no warning on the box or the charger that this would fail if plugged into the UK mains.
