Renogy started as a small project by students at Louisiana State University. With the help and support of the Louisiana Business and Technology Center, Renogy has grown into a flourishing company.

What problem are we solving?

Renogy intends to be a driving force behind the push for sustainable living and energy independence.

What makes our products unique?

We aim to provide all the components necessary for users to build off-grid solar power systems at affordable prices.

Unmatched Cell Efficiency – Renogy solar panel 100w features grade A+ cells, delivering an impressive conversion efficiency of 25%. This solar panels provide 20W more power output compared to conventional PERC panels of the same design.
16BB for Higher Conversion Efficiency and Longer Lifespan – Utilizing advanced 16BB cell technology, this n-type solar panel enhances photoelectric conversion efficiency while mitigating hot spots and hidden cracks, ensuring a longer service life and superior module performance.
Enhanced Performance in High Temperatures – Renogy 100 watt solar panel features a low temperature coefficient, minimizing power loss in high-temperature conditions for superior product performance. The 12v solar panel allows for increased power generation, particularly beneficial in summer months or extremely hot areas.
Built to Last – Equipped with IP65 protection, this 100w solar panel is designed to endure snow, rain, and heat for decades. With low-iron tempered glass and corrosion-resistant aluminum frames, it ensures exceptional performance in all weather conditions.
Long-Term Reliability – Renogy solar panels with low degradation (≤1% in the first year, ≤0.4% annually) , plus a 25-year 80% output for lasting performance.

Customers say

Customers find the solar panel works well, with consistent power output of 87 watts throughout the day, and appreciate its strong aluminum frame construction. The panel receives positive feedback for its performance, with one customer noting it produces close to 100W in optimal conditions, and customers find it easy to attach to roof racks. They like its convenient size that fits even on dashboards, and appreciate its lightweight design that makes it easy to move around. Customers consider it good value for money, with one mentioning it’s priced at half the GoPower price.

    Durable, mountable, very nice size
Purchased to mount on a small camper trailer, out of the box it was getting 180w even on a sub-optimal angle. The aluminum framing is very sturdy- and even double-walled which is very useful if you’re drilling through it and attaching fittings. The corners are solid reinforced as well. After mounting on an adjustable tilt mount my father in law and I made it was still rocking a near perfect capture wattage. In slight cloud cover it was still getting 120w at again, sub-optimal angles. in pure sun it was touching 190w.

Good Looking Panels but Don’t Order 2-pack
These are clean looking panels with strong aluminum frames and durable glass fronts. Their small size and reduced weight is a plus for portable or easy to handle panels (they weigh in at 13 lb each). They are boxed in suitcase-type boxes with a carrying strap at the top. Not much protection is provided by the boxing (the panel front is very close to the box surface) but mine arrived in great shape with no visible damage to the shipping boxes or panels within, in-part thanks to the heavier cardboard used in construction of the boxes. My only complaint is that a 2-pack goes for $239 and I discovered after the fact that single panels are $114 so single panels are cheaper than when bought in pairs. That was a disappointment so next time I will stick to ordering multiples of single panels.Wiring was pretty much standard, dressed well with good looking junction boxes and connectors, and good long leads. Each panel uses 30 cells to achieve an open circuit voltage of 22.8 Volts and a short circuit current of 5.31A. Have yet to test these under full sun, but reported results look good and all cells are pristine with the 16BB featured charge gathering grid, as advertised. These are well worth the value ($114 per panel) and will work nicely in any small to medium solar power system with add-on panels easy to fit due to panel size.

Top quality from Renogy. For a 50w unit,.
Quality unit for an excellent price! I tested the unit with my 12v 100ah battery box with a Victron 75/15 charge controller. I got 21v open circuit voltage with about 2.45a shorted current snd measured 42w at the charge controller. Excellent performance! Although I started at about 97% battery, I hit 100% in about 30 minutes! I’ll be testing more as I deplete the battery, but as a start, I’m totally satisfied.

Fantastic, pumps even in the shade.
This is a great quality solar panel. I have had a few other small trickle panels and a cheap flexible plastic one (total waste of money) and I am really impressed with the power and quality of this panel. It is really too strong for a trickle panel, but i find I can put it in the shade and it works fine with less power and it will totally charge up a “dead” car battery in no time (paired with a cheap charge controller, made mobile safe by hot glue gunning wiring points). I bought a panel this strong because I got a great sale price on it. Very worth it. Small enough to be portable and easily moveable and will fit on my dash even and large enough to really kick ass, charge up a lead acid battery and all my 5 volt usb lights and devices. Great for camping. My only problem with this panel on the onset was that it came with Renology MC4 connectors attached and I had trouble deciding whether to buy more of those or rip off the MC4 connector and just convert to 12 volt automotive water proof connector I already had on hand. For my uses, I was better off without the MC4 (a waterproof rating not size rating) I decided, and I finally pried them off and converted to the 12 volt auto connector, but the psychological block really impacted my project.

Should be marketed as 85 Watt Panels
I am an electrical engineer, so take that into consideration for my review. These are my first solar panels, for my first solar project. I bought 1 of these panels to run my 12V attic fans, a perfect match since they draw more power when the sun is brighter (and the attic gets hotter). The fans draw about 7 amps at 12 Volts maximum. (85 Watts). Realized I needed more power so added a second panel. Paired them up with a cheap PWM controller where I learned that you cannot hook the panels up in series if you have a PWM controller. Also using a 20 Ah Eco Worthy battery. Swapped the PWM out for a Victron MPPT controller. Really worth the extra money. I am in Central Florida, and on a Bright sunny day in July, the most I have ever seen out of these panels is about 85 watts. This is measured at both the load and at the panels, so it includes about 5 watts loss in the wires. Not sure what it would take to get 100 watts our of these. Otherwise, they seem to work well. They come in a convenient size, and you could probably fit one on your SUV roof rack. They appear to be relatively durable. All in all, they will do the job for me. Prices seem volatile so you may want to keep an eye out for discounts. I am going to buy a larger battery to go with these panels.

    Good for Vanlife.
These panels are awesome. They out put as advertised and are very easy to work with. they can deal with up to 85 MPH highway speed for serval hundred miles. they tanked a light hail storm with no issues. These are 100% good to go. they are nice and rigid and will fit in a roof rack using 80/20 aluminum extrusions. If you need wattage on your van build this is what you want to go with. I run a 12v fridge, work labtop, gaming labtop, 4kw inverter, lights, fan, a ton of stuff. I can run a 5000 BTU AC unit off nothing but the noon sun on a clear summer day. These will keep the lights on.

    By it
Renogy is a company that can be trusted. Great product. Now that I have the Shadowflux, a much better panel. Renogy keeps innovating. I like this product and others like the Shadowflux are above all others.

Good quality, so far fine through summer and winter (snow and ice). Have four, have had peak power output above the rated 100W, possibly because mfg expects peak power to slowly drop to 100W after many years.
