Another Great Product – Bowls DO Stay Put
The chutes work great and are just long enough to keep the bowls, generally, in place. Yes, a cat could knock the bowl loose but my cat that used to pick the feeder up with her head and drop it to shake a few morsels loose (I fixed it with a weight on top of the feeder) has not dislodged a bowl in the month or so I have been using the divider. Well designed! Sturdy. The screen is great because it lets my more timid cat eat while his piggy and aggressive sister digs into the other bowl. Thanks PetSafe! You really impress.

A life saver for our two cats
This was easy to put together, although not so easy to take a part if you need to clean your feeder. Our two cats took a few days to figure out whoâs side is whoâs but it works really well and I loved being able to keep our current feeder. It fits perfectly

Love the splitter, the rest leaves something to be desired.
My cats are pretty mischievous. When the bowl is empty, they’ll paw it around the room trying to get me to fill it up. This obviously isn’t good for an automatic feeder. The single bowl comes with a ring that attaches to the feeder to keep it from going everywhere, but this double bowl kit does not come with a double bowl ring for some reason. I ended up getting a raised double bowl (see picture) and using a bungee cord to affix everything to my cabinet. It works fine, but now the bowls it came with are useless.I would much rather it come with a double bowl holder than the divider which I don’t plan on using. All in all, the price for me was a little high since all I needed was the divider but now paid extra for stuff I don’t need.That said, this is a great divider! I was using a 3rd party one for a while but it was 3D printed and had a rough texture, so it was causing food jams with smaller kibble. This one works great, doesn’t jam, and fits perfectly. An added bonus is that it makes the opening too small for my cats to try and tamper with the device to steal food. Both cats can eat simultaneously without fighting. A wonderful compliment to a really good feeder. Love the app, the notifications of feeding (especially while I’m away) and the ease of setup.

FOOD SPLITTER DOES NOT LOCK IN PLACE – and that’s okay.
The instructions say to lay the feeder on its side and insert the food splitter into the food spout first. Don’t waste time trying to get it to ‘lock in’ or otherwise stick in place. The privacy panel holds it in place. Nothing’s broken.I solved this by assembling the privacy panel first, then inserting the splitter and locking it in place with the privacy panel. Basically, the instructions backwards.Otherwise, it’s working like a charm so far.

Broken instantly upon install
Came with zero assembly instructions, so I had to puzzle piece it together and then also figure out how it was supposed to be put on the feeder. I put my feeder on it’s side as to not put strain on the seemingly cheap and weak plastic. Right after I put the divider on my feeder (After figuring it out. I did not assemble or install incorrectly!), the peg that holds the divider in place to the feeder literally snapped clean off. The peg is still in my feeder and the divider is unusable. And with that, the support leg went too…. So.. I still use the splitter.. I just shoved it in there really tight and hope it stays that way. Works, I guess.. But for the $20 I paid for it, I expected better quality.

Works, but what a pain to initially program!
My two cats have been using this for about a month now and have gotten used to it. I bought the optional portion divider, so it will fill two bowls at once. It works fine.The only drag about this product, is the programming interface. My Son-In-Law warned me about how much of a pita it is to program, as he has one as well. It is not intuitive and it’s pretty darn confusing programming it. I have it set to dispense 4x in a 24-hour period. They should have simplified the number of inputs needed, as well as more clearly labeled what the buttons do. There is no writing on the keypad, just symbols. How about a sticker printed in English, French and Spanish, that has real words on it and overlays the buttons? How come they couldn’t add a button that says “FEED NOW”, in case you want to give them some extra ?I dread the day the batteries go dead in it, and I have to reprogram it again. It’s clear, they spent very little money on the actual design of the computer chip and the software for it.Aside from that, I’ve had no issues and the cats are okay with it.

This works as intended. A bit expensive for what it is, but I would buy it again. I did get one for my parents.Right now, I only have one cat, but I use this to dispense an even smaller amount than the machine can provide. So, half goes into her bowl and the other half into a closed container.
