Donât buy the cheaper MAF sensors
I had to replace a failing MAF sensor with this unit after 1 year. This one is much nicer in operation. I use tuning software to scan engine components and although the cheaper ones do work, they donât work very long. The Hitachi unit isnât expensive and the difference in operation was immediately noticeable.

Works great!
This was so easy to install, took about 5 minutes. I did not reset the code because I wanted to see if it would go off by itself. It did not go off immediately, but it did go off the next day after about a dozen start/stop cycles and 25-30 miles. This installation is VERY EASY.

My 2015 Cadillac srx had a random high idle that would go away & come back. More highs than normal. No engine light, mechanics couldnât figure it out. Various forums said itâs probably the MAF sensor. Bought 2 cheaper sensors. One quit / check engine light after a few days & another made the idle high & acceleration jittery. Bought this one & installed it. After a day of driving, the idle has stayed constantly normal. MPG has gotten better as well. So far so good. Hopefully it lasts for the long run.
