No Wires, No Hassle: Why the LUBA Mini 800H Won My Yard
I have owned a few Husqvarna Automowers, and recently I just got tired of fixing the ground wire. Back when I bought mine, the market was basically just Automower, but now it’s full of options. I watched just about every robot lawn mower video I could find. I looked at every option out there that would fit my use case.For context, my yard is under .25 acres, and it’s a complex setup with lots of small areas that need to be mowed. Many of the review videos I watched had the Mammotion mower in them, but it was rarely ranked number one—usually number two or three. What I realized, though, was that many reviewers picked a mower that worked better for their yard, not necessarily the best all-around. Rightfully so—some mowers are designed to mow a lot more land, and for a small yard, that’s overkill. But on the flip side, a smaller mower in a big yard is a joke, and some reviews pointed this out. That’s just one example, but there are lots of little cases like that.So why did I decide to pick this mower?#1. Yard Size FitMammotion has bigger mowers, but this one fit my yard perfectly.#2. No Ground Wire (RTK + Vision)It uses RTK and vision instead of a buried wire, which was a big deal for me. Some reviews mentioned potential RTK issues, but my deployment was simple, and I’ve had no problems—even with the house and trees nearby. The key was planning: I made sure to mount the RTK high and not covered by any trees.#3. Control FeaturesThe mower lets me set mowing heights, zones, and scheduling exactly how I want.#4. ConnectivityThis mower has 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. That’s awesome and gives me max flexibility. I don’t care that 4G is extra—it’s not expensive, and I get to choose if I want to pay for it.#5. Off-Road CapabilityMy Automower used to get stuck all the time—it was always a thing. This mower is AWD, and that helps a ton. Whether it’s a hill or uneven terrain, it’s nice not having to go rescue my mower.#6. PriceReviews mentioned this, but the price was right for my yard size. Not the cheapest, but also not Automower pricing, which is really $1,500 more than most other mowers.So does this mower deliver? IT DOES.For my size yard and its complexity, it does everything I could want. Setup was easy—no wire to bury—and I can build tons of zones to mow exactly how I want. It navigates easily, no GPS or connection issues, and it actually mows in a pattern. Connectivity is great too; I can check on it anytime, anywhere.Now, as far as warranty goes—we’ll see. But as of right now, I would buy this mower again. It was a simple setup, and it meets or exceeds what I expected at a price that’s very fair.

Okay – this thing is hilarious – really quiet and does a great job mowing.Initial setup was a bit – tedious. Even though the mower is 90% assembled, you still have to find locations for all the things based off the set cable lengths – and i could not find “spare cable parts” on Amazon here to get more extensions.It can also be a bit cranky getting everything hooked up and synced through the app, but that’s par for the course – set aside an hour for that and mapping.We have the RTK positioning unit attached to the facia on the roof – and running wiring for that takes some thought, as does making sure it even has access to power – but once all that is done, and you have the base station positioned – you’re pretty much good to go.You have the option of connecting it to (or near) the base itself, but we have the base in a spot where the RTK would not function well, so they are both in different locations.When you go to start mapping things, you’ll find the App is NOT intuitive at all.Settings are “buried” for all the things, or in a place you would not think they’d be, and once you find them, make changes, and realize you need to make MORE changes – you will spend even more time trying to find them again.The next frustrating part of mapping, is the lack of being able to modify the cut zones simply.I find no way to load a property image to help – and all the exterior edge lines are “wobbly” from the self mapping drive so -you would think it would create “bounding lines” that you could drag here and there to straighten, or enlarge, or shrink – or draw on – after you have your areas mapped – but no. You have to drive the mower around manually to change them and then you’re back to the weird “where is that setting” issue we just spoke about above.TLDR;The first annoyance is the software is the singular downfall for this thing – BUT – when it works – the little guy just goes and gets stuff done.The second annoyance is there is no frame of reference for the cut lline pattern – you can adjust the cut pattern angle – but you have no orientation for where the angle is changing. You also cannt change the height values for the “design” cutting pattern.The third annoyance is the FPV video stream – it’s really high quality, and high bandwidth, so it will drop out and buffer at times. there really should be an option to lower the stream quality so it’s more consistent.- an option to record video would be excellent too…I’m very happy with the purchase – but I REALLY wish the app wasn’t such a pain to navigate.Works great at night, avoids things, scares off the neighbours cats, cuts the grass, and it’s hilarious to watch the FPV video stream from the mower while you sit back and relax.People walking by will also likely stop and watch it go.

ich habe mir den Luba zwei bestellt, da ich sehr viel steiles Gelände habe und andere Roboter keine Chance hatten. Mit der Lieferung war ich zufrieden die kam von Amazon und war zügig. Die Einrichtung des Lubas funktioniert sehr Schnell leider war nur der Akku leer und musste zuerst aufgeladen werden. Dies kann eigentlich auch nicht sein die schadet dem Akku. hab die Ladezeit ist sehr sehr zügig und man kann gleich beginnen wenn man mal weiß, dass man die RTK Antenne auch separat updaten muss und hinzufügen. Dann geht’s aber wenn wenn man das vorher noch nie gemacht hätte, dann sehe ich eher als schwierig. Vor dem ersten Update hatte ich kaum WLAN Empfang. Nach dem ersten Update hingegen funktioniert es seit hier einwandfrei auf jeden Fall was ich sagen kann der Luba Mad wirklich fantastisch. Er hat ein top Schnitt Bild und auch fährt er jedes Gelände hoch, ohne irgendwelche Löcher im rasen zu hinterlassen. Bei anderen hatte ich da das Problem, dass sie permanent durchgedreht sind und immer weitere Löcher in den rasen gerissen haben. The way, so gut denkt man sich. Allerdings habe ich sehr viel Probleme in der Zeit wohin gehabt habe gehabt gehabt habe ja ich hab den den luba schlussendlich zurückgesendet, weil es überhaupt nicht mehr funktioniert hat. die Begrenzung abfahren funktioniert in der App einwandfrei. Mit einem Abstand von ungefähr 10 cm hab ich alles abgefahren. Dies wurde gleich übernommen in der App auch die Sperrzonen und alle Wege sind eigentlich selbsterklärend das kenne ich von anderen Apps viel schlechter nach dem abfahren hab ich den Lupe mähen lassen und und leider musste ich immer wieder feststellen, dass er an den Zaun und an an die Mauer anfährt. Na gut hab ich mir gedacht dann lass ich ihm noch mehr Platz und fahre die Begrenzung einfach neu ab. Dies funktioniert mit ändern auch wunderbar man muss nicht wieder alles abfahren, sondern kann jede einzelne Position separat ändern hab ich das gemacht was ist dann passiert? Der Lupe lässt jetzt ungefähr 25-30 cm stehen. Hab ich noch mal probiert. Mit der näheren hat der Luber wieder den Zaun und die mauert touchiert. Ich muss wohl wohl gesagt sagen ich habe mehr als genügend Satelliten beim Luber und bei der RTK Station. Ich habe bei beiden immer ungefähr 30 Satelliten und vollständige WLAN Abdeckung im Garten. Ich muss dazu sagen mein Garten ist jetzt nicht sehr groß dafür halt steil. Das war bei den Sperrzonen das selbe Problem abgefahren mit 5-10 cm hat er mehr stehen. Gelassen bin ich fast auf null hin gefahren. Ist natürlich beim mähen wieder hinein gefahren, was ich auch feststellen musste, dass er jedes Mal irgendwo anders anfängt zu mähen. Dies hat einige Male Probleme bereitet er ist dann einfach rückwärts in den Zaun gefahren und hat sich fest gegraben. Dies ist auch ein Problem das behoben werden sollte ich kann ich kann doch nicht einfach permanent weiterfahren obwohl, obwohl er sich eigentlich nicht bewegt. Normal müsste da eine Fehlermeldung kommen beziehungsweise er müsste es wieder vorwärts probieren mir kommt teilweise vor, dass die Kamera und die die Sensoren zur Zierde da sind. Das einzige was funktioniert ist der Pump da fährt er oft gegen oder schrammt entlang und löst nicht aus. Ist also auch nicht so das optimal aber von der Kammer und von den Sensoren hab ich nie etwas gemerkt, wie sie einfach nicht da wär auch. Am Anfang hat er sich mal unter den Zaun festgefahren mit dem vorderen Rädern und hat hat fröhlich weiter gedreht. Dies machte ein Riesen Lärm und ich dachte jetzt wäre er kaputt habe Gott sei Dank hätte sie nichts getan aber dieses ist auch wie drehen Problem er dürfte einfach nicht weiterfahren. Er müsste müsst ihr selbstständig abschalten und eine Meldung abgeben nicht Minuten lang auf der selben Stelle weiterfahren, denn dies finde ich auch bedenklich falls er wirklich mal Kleintier oder so mitnehmen würde. Dieses Problem ist jetzt bei mir nicht so der Fall denn ich habe bei mir noch nie ein Igel gesehen aber ich habe ihn natürlich auch nur unter Tag fahren lassen es ist nahezu wöchentlich ein oder zwei Updates gekommen, dieses leider nicht immer positiv. Das eine Mal waren die Verbindungswege weg das andere Mal hat sich die RTK verschoben. Dies bedeutet natürlich wieder alles neu abzufahren, was sehr ärgerlich ist und ein anderes Mal hat sich die Begrenzung teilweise wieder auch verschoben, ich habe mir eigentlich gekauft, um eine Zeitersparnis zu haben und nicht mehr händisch zu mähen. Jetzt muss ich allerdings sagen, man muss nahezu sehr oft da zuschauen und kann ihn fast nie alleine mähen lassen weil immer irgendwas ist weil das muss man oft Handy nach Justieren heißt Begrenzung oder sonstiges. Dies finde ich kann’s auch nicht sein, wenn es am Anfang mal ist ja okay dann macht man das aber auf Dauer fast täglich beim täglichen mähen, jedes Mal etwas umzustellen. Das ist nicht der Sinn der Sache aber warum ich ihn schlussendlich zurückgeschickt habe aus folgendem Grund, dass die Mähwerk Höhenverstellung teilweise nicht funktioniert. Manchmal funktioniert sie manchmal stillt sie ein anderen Wert ein , als den ich eingegeben habe. und ich dachte mir auf das Ende liegt ein Defekt vor. Es ist eine reine Software Sache, aber mir ist das Ganze einfach noch zu unsicher. Für das ist um mehr zu teuer. Ich habe mich mit dem Support auch kurz geschlossen. Wenn ja wie viele bereit sagen der support ist wirklich miserabel man bekommt keine Hilfe wenn man überhaupt mal dran kommt. Teilweise habe ich ewig probiert war immer in der Warteschlange weit hinten und wurde kurz davor wieder rausgeschmissen. Das sind alles Sachen warum ich mir schlussendlich dachte nein das ist es mir nicht wert denn wie lange hält das Ganze überhaupt Ersatzteile bekommt man so gut wie keine. Also ich komme mir vor wie Produkte für die noch nicht ganz ausgereiftes Produkt sicherlich wie gesagt er mäht super Schnitt Bild und alles passt aber es muss einfach funktionieren, ohne ständig irgendwas machen zu müssen. Dies zeigt eigentlich auch die fast wöchentlich ein bis zwei Updates wenn es mal richtig funktionieren würde bräuchte man das auch nicht. Somit heißt es ja eigentlich es funktioniert einfach noch nicht alles. Also wie gesagt gutes Gerät allerdings müsste in Zukunft ein Ersatzteilservice mit kurzer Zeit vorhanden sein und diese auch zu einem angemessenen Preis unter super müsste auf jeden Fall viel viel besser werden ich auf jeden Fall. Bin jetzt wieder auf den Hand Rasenmäher umgestiegen und warte mal auf nächstes Jahr ab ob irgendwas Neues auf dem Markt kommt zu einem vernünftigen Preis wo meine Steigerungen schafft durch die Kollision meines Lubas Hat er überall Abschürfungen erhalten? Einmal ist er sogar rückwärts Vollgas in einen Stein gefahren, obwohl er in der Grenze war. Dies zog eine mächtige Schramme hinter sich optimal. Wäre eigentlich einen Bumper rund um den Lober an jeder Stelle der Note fordere, hat wirklich oft ein eingehängt und somit nicht ausgelöst also mein Fahrrad zieht auf jeden Fall gutes Gerät wirklich sehr gut verarbeitet. Nur schlechter Support keiner Ersatzteilservice und ständige Updates mit irgendwelchen Problemen, die wieder andere Probleme mit sich ziehen und leider hat die Höhenverstellung bei mir nicht richtig funktioniert. Daher kann ich den Luba Von meiner Seite aus noch nicht empfehlen. Eventuell tut sich da in Zukunft noch etwas dann würde ich ihn auf jeden Fall noch mal kaufen beziehungsweise das neuere Modell.

Ho acquistato il Mammotion Luba 2 AWD a maggio 2024 e ne sono davvero soddisfatto. Il robot lavora in modo preciso, affronta senza problemi pendenze e terreni difficili e lascia il prato uniforme e ben curato. La gestione tramite app è semplice e comoda.Un plauso particolare all’assistenza clienti, davvero eccellente: risposte immediate, efficaci e in tempo reale. Prodotto e servizio al top!
