Excellent on hardwood floor
I bought this for my art studio so that my wheeled drafting chair could slide between two work tables. It works excellently. The chair glides very smoothly. Note that most of the negative reviews mention that the purchaser used it on carpet, so I would take the manufacturer at their word that it only works on hard surfaces.Also, it flattened out quickly. I placed it upside down with weights on the edges for a couple of hours as suggested, but I’m not even sure that is necessary. As soon as it was down on the floor in the right orientation, any residual curling flattened out within 30 minutes or so.Great purchase for its intended use.

Well, if I could give it â0â I would. The plastic is so rigid that even after months of having it out of the box, it still wonât relax enough to even partially unroll. Any attempt to unroll will be met with the sharp, pointed teeth on the underside which I think would definitely grip into carpet securely.I may need to leave the mat on my patio in the sun to see if it will soften enough to unroll and be held out flat for a day or so, held in place by heavy flower pots.I would have returned but I had disposed of the box, in anticipation of the tightly coiled plastic relaxing.

Color & Pattern is very bold.
Not what I expected. The rug is good and appears to be rugged like I need. Just the pattern is too bold. I was hoping for more of a subtle print. Even though the description says blue, it looks more brown and white than blue. The blue is very light, more like white.

Awesome Floor Protector 60″ x 75″
I did way too much research prior to purchasing this 60″ x 75″ floor protector, but it was time well spent. I use it under the table in my art studio to protect the hardwood floors from the polymer clay that I use.I followed the included directions and stretched it out upside down with objects around the edges for 24 hours prior to placing it in my studio.PROS:The mat lays flat with no curling at the edges (and I didn’t even need to use the floor stickies that came with it).My chairs rolls easily on it.The mat is thicker than most that I researched.My floor stays clean.Quick delivery.CONS: Only that I didn’t buy it sooner!I highly recommend this floor to protector.

Too soft to be effective even on low pile carpet.
This mat is advertised as “heavy duty” but it’s too soft to be useful. Even though I had the mat on top of office grade thin pile carpet with minimal if any padding, the wheels of my desk chair would sink right into the mat making it difficult to roll. FWIW, I am only 160 lbs and the chair still wouldn’t roll well on this mat. It felt maybe 10% better than rolling on the bare carpet itself.It’s very difficult to buy mats on Amazon because you really can’t tell how thick or flexible the mats are. Unfortunately, this one didn’t pan out.After returning the mat, I ended up going to a local officedepot/officemax store where they had a ton of different chair mats in different sizes and quality grades. I was able to find a similar sized mat for about the same price and I actually laid the mat out on the store’s carpeted floor and rolled a couple of office chairs on top of them with me seated to find the mat that felt best. The one I got felt about 80% better than rolling on bare carpet. This is something you need to buy in person.
