My Favorite Makeup Cleaner
This is cleaner I’ve come across so far. For both high quality and my cheaper brushes — it works well for them both. It’s gentle and you don’t need a lot for it to work, a little goes along way. It smells mild and pleasant too.

So quick, so clean!
Iâm terrible about staying on top of cleaning my brushes. This cleaner made my brushes look brand new!! In about 3 seconds all of the built up makeup was gone, Iâm talking I use a cream eye shadow that has built up and was flaking all over my eyelids and cheeks bad. I seriously donât know how it works so quickly and easily. You only need a tiny bit and itâs a large bottle so should last a long time!

This is a great product. Iâve used hand soap or detergent on my makeup brushes and they never seemed fully clean. This product practically makes them like new. It also works great on makeup sponges. Highly recommend.

Works so much better than other products on removing powder products
All but two of my brushes are the It silver handled numbered kind; I built this investment a few years ago based on reviews. I do a quick clean daily with a certain store brand of makeup cleaner made for daily use; thatâs the best Iâve found so far for my brushes and doesnât put them at risk. It would be the weekly cleaning that always fought me. I decided after again reading reviews here to give this a try. Iâm very happy! A few drops on a cleansing pad did the trick. Amazing how well such a small amount of drops works. I watched the buildup work its way down and out the first time. Rinses clean; amazingly no residual color as I wiped dry. Iâm finding the brushes are drying a little bit quicker. I am pleasantly shocked to say the least! Iâll update this post if I discover any issues I find as I use it; this post is based on my initial cleaning process. If all holds true this bottle should last a decent amount of time!*Edited 5/19/2025Works effectively for removing any powder-based products. Iâve discovered that when I tried to use on my larger foundation face brushes which I used to apply a longer lasting Morphe foundation this remover did very little to clean. I am sticking with my Sephora brand daily brush cleaner. I passed this on to our daughter; she uses powder products and is happy with this.

Very effective with removing tinted sunscreen and foundation from makeup brushes. I used a quarter size amount directly on brush and massaged it across a silicone brush cleaning pad. I used a swirling motion until the brush rinsed clear. It did take a slightly larger amount of cleanser for my brush that hadnât been cleaned in a while. I will be cleaning my brushes weekly now that itâs an easy process. The cleanser cleaned the brushes faster than using Dawn dish soap (which was recommended by dermatology sites). There was no oiliness. I am very impressed. Great value for the money and bottle size. Easy to use. I would give this a higher star rating if possible!

The product worked really well. It only took a little of the product to clean the brushes . I was surprised how quickly the brushes became cleaner. These brushes were brown and look back to their original color of kind of light whitish gray bristles. This bottle will last a long time.

I started off ordering 2 bottles of the Eco brush cleaner “shampoo.” I canceled that order & ordered only 1 bottle bc after I read the part where it said brush “shampoo” after placing my order. I’d seen alot of dif brands of makeup brush cleaners & have bought dif brands & when I ran out I used shampoo in a bowl & it worked ok. Most brush cleaners weren’t “shampoo”, they were thin & it took alot of it to clean only a few brushes & 2 sponges took half a bottle. Out of all the brush cleaners I’ve used none of them were thick like shampoo & it says on the bottle “brush cleaning shampoo.” This brush cleaner is thick, thicker than shampoo & a little goes a long way, if you run out use shampoo but I believe that the brush cleaner is a little better than using regular shampoo bc it’s made w/ingred that actually break down the oils & chemicals that cosmetics are made of, I don’t think that reg shampoo has the ingredients to break down the impurities & bacteria that can build up in your makeup sponges & brushes. That being said, I had to use it right away & it worked much better than any “brush cleaner” I’ve tried. It came in the mail today. It’s very thick, not much fragrance but is so awesome in breaking down the products in makeup. I washed my sponges & they looked brand new & I havent cleaned them in months. The last time I cleaned my brushes & sponges they didnt come clean, the dif cleaners & shampoo I’ve used I could still see makeup residue on my sponges & brushes. I’ve been saying this lately abt buying cosmetics & anything from cosmetic family like cleaners, any makeup, face creams, lotions, perfume, body oils or perfume oils, etc… If you’ve been shopping from an online/box store, Ulta store, where you have a membership & pay those high interest rates please, please check out Amazon b4 buying any of these items. Amazon has major name brands. I have some expensive makeup brushs & some not so expensive but using brush cleaner, it conditions & keeps your bristles soft & they will last a long time. You’ll find something that you prob didn’t expect, I’m almost sure of that. I wish I could do price comparison in my reviews but I don’t think that it’s allowed. I know that you’ll save alot of money in the price of cosmetics & shipping & in interest rates compared to online clubs/ membership fees & when you really like a product if Amazon is out they will notify you when it’s in stock or give you alternative choices. Amazon also has coupon prices so you need to look for that as well. I’ve given bad reviews & sent things back & the return policy with Amazon is great & free, if you dont like it you can always return it!You won’t regret buying this “brush shampoo”, it’s made to break down the chemicals & it really does work.

Yes, this is a Holy Grail product, works like a charm and smells lovely. The brushes come out soft and as good as new (even if never cleaned before). I can only echo everybody else on this one. Buy it. Baby shampoo has got nothing on this one.
