Very solid and well made
After 20 years, the factor plastic handle on my TJ broke while trying to open the door in freezing weather. The tab where the metal rod goes broke off…I like that this is all metal, it’s very well made, solid, and looks good. It was very easy to install, fit perfectly, works great, and will probably last longer than anything else on the Jeep.The only criticism is the included plastic clip to hold the rod in place seemed pretty flimsy compared to the old one. I did have to adjust the rod/linkage a few times to get the door to open consistently, but that’s no fault of this handle.The price is very reasonable for this quality part.

I have an 05 Jeep Wrangler and the handles broke and these are perfect. Theyâre well-made and I canât see anything better. They work basically oh except for the yellow things they sent you. Youâre gonna have to have either the old one old black ones for the rod holders or are you gonna have to get new ones?

Cheap flimsy bushing/clip; mounting holes too small and unthreaded
This door handle is a piece of heavy metal and appears to be robust and well made. Unfortunately, a couple of flaws turned this into a project most people couldn’t, or wouldn’t want to, deal with.For starters the flimsy plastic bushing/rod clip allowed the rod to pop out of the handle on the first try. Even after adjusting the tension, the rod would flex the plastic to its limits. No way I was putting the door together with that clip in place. Instead I cut open the old broken handle with a dremel and reused the 18 year old OEM clip. Worked perfect.Next the mounting holes were unthreaded and the holes were too small for the existing Torx screws. I had to drill the holes out with an 11/64 bit and then carefully crank down the screws to cut new threads. So the handle works well now but I shouldn’t have to go through this nonsense, at least not without a heads up from the seller.After installing the driver’s side on one jeep I returned the right and left pair I bought for the second jeep. Hopefully I’ll find better, do not recommend.

Clip too small
The handle itself seems quality. All metal. The clip that attaches to the rod is way too short and pops right back off. I was lucky to have extra clips. The one on the left is what I had to use. The one on the right is what it came with.

Seems durable, but the quality could be better.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The metal castings are decent, just beware of some extra casting flash. The included pushrod retainer is way too soft and might be a problem. Would be nice if the replacement rubber gasket that goes between the handle and the door was included.

Great quality handles. Didnât come with the surround trim as the factory handles had on them so I just reused the ones I had already that were black
