COMPONENT: Akfix 805 Insulation Spray Foam is a single-component, moisture-curing and self-expanding aerosol polyurethane foam. It is designed for easy dispensing through the straw adapter included with each can. Foam expanding sealant does not contain any propellant gases that are harmful to the ozone layer.
COMMON USAGE AREAS: Akfix 805 Polyurethane Foam Spray can be used on window and door frames, big gaps, joints, cavities, electrical outlets, water pipes, etc. It is also used for filling of penetrations in walls. After the application, this expanding foam insulation spray is recommended to be used with 800C Spray Foam Cleaner which is sold separately.
HOW TO USE: 1.Akfix 805 Waterproof Spray Foam Insulation Can should be shaken at least 20 times before use. 2.When applied it should be turned down. 3.Strongly recommended not to press the trigger hard if you use it for the first time. 4.Make sure to wear protective gloves, safety glasses, and protective clothing during the process. 5.Foam cures in 3-5 minutes. But you can wait 24 hours for a full cure. 6.Cured foam dries rigid and can be trimmed, shaped and sanded.
PROPERTIES: Akfix 805 PU Foam is a product that water-proof, over paintable. NOTE: This window insulation spray foam adheres to almost all building materials with the exception of surfaces such as polyethylene, teflon, silicone and surfaces contaminated with oils and greases, mold release agents and similar materials.

SAFETY: Akfix 805 Spray Foam Insulation Harmful by inhalation. Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin. Do not breathe spray/vapour. Use only in well-ventilated areas. It is a pressurized container. Keep away from direct sunlight and do not expose temperatures over 50 °C. Do not pierce or burn the product, even after use. Keep away from sources of ignition, no smoking.
RESTRICTIONS: Storage above +25 °C and below +5 °C shortens shelf life. Akfix 805 Polyurethane Spray Foam should be stored and transported in vertical position. It also should be kept in room temperature for at least 12 hours before the application. Paint or coat the cured foam for best results in outdoor applications. NOTE: Cured foam will discolor if exposed to ultraviolet light.

Predictable expansion, reliable texture, easy to work with
The ONLY downside to this spray foam is the capacity of the 12oz can, I didn’t realize the size until after I’d placed the order. The Akfix foam seems to work very well. Filled many holes in our basement’s foam board insulation with one half-can.The foam expands nicely and adheres really well even on old surfaces. Texture when spraying out is smooth, not overwhelmingly gummy or sticky which is great to work with. Expansion happens within the first minute or so and it doesn’t continue after that, perfect for my needs… Was able to smooth some areas down with a flat tool before the foam “set” when I didn’t want it to protrude beyond a set limit.Just bought a few more cans in the 24oz size because there’s more work to do! Would recommend this brand, good stuff.

Effective and easy to use
Had an issue with field mice entering through an opening in the floor/wall area. This fixed the issue and wonât have to be replaced as frequently as steel wool.

Fumes are noxious and intolerable! Don’t buy unless you’re using outside. Smell is noxious.us.
I gave it one star because it did plug up the holes. Unfortunately, it’s been 4 days and I can barely breathe in my own house. The fumes and the smell is really bad and I’ve had two air purifiers my whole house fan. My kitchen exhaust fan running constantly for 4 days. I’m still getting choked. Don’t get this stuff!

Wear gloves, it’s messy but it works!
Great! Much easier than other options. My recommendations: Spray down from inside if you’re sealing an RV floor. It’s challenging to spray up., wear gloves (it’s near impossible to get this off your hands), and wear a mask if your sensitive to things like spray paint – it smells but it’s not as strong as other spray foams I’ve used in my house and the odor was gone after an afternoon.

These are hard to use, but they do work. You just have to be fast and they really are a one time use thing. Wear gloves as this stuff gets everywhere!!
