Double Decker Insulated Casserole Carrier
I absolutely love this Double Decker insulated carrier. It’s so well made and practical for tailgating, potlucks and family gatherings. This carrier makes it easy to carry both a hot dish and a cold dish at the same time, and the insultation keeps everything at the perfect temp. Cleanup is easy, and it folds down nicely to store. This is one of those products you don’t realize you need until you have it. Highly recommend.

This carrier seems durable, and well insulated. The zipper seems to be of good quality. Itâs attractive with a convenient caring handle that Velcros together to secure it.I bought it to replace a carrier that was worn out from many years of use. I considered buying the same brand as a replacement but went with this one instead. This one is a a little larger than what I had. It may be a little large for my old dish but will allow me to also use it for larger pans, which is handy. The pictures are the dish that was with my old carrier and also with a 9 X 13 pan. Itâs perfect for the larger pan but will also work well for the old one.

Works great – a couple things to note
I ordered this at the last minute one morning for a potluck that I wanted to bring a casserole to that same evening. Amazon didn’t disappoint with same day delivery from 2PM to 6PM – and luckily it came closer to the 2PM because I needed to leave with my casserole at 5pm!The first thing to note, there is a heavy chemical smell to the carrier when you first remove it from its vacuum wrapped packaging. I gave the inside a good wash and let it air out for a couple hours before I used it which helped get rid of the smell a little, but it was still there when I used it. I was worried that the smell would transfer to my food – but it did not. Buying it a few days earlier would of gave me the chance to air it out better. Over time, the smell has dissipated.The other thing to note that I have seen a number of people complain in their reviews, is that it melts. Common sense, a 400 degree casserole dish direct from the oven will melt the plastic insulation! It does have a high melting point, so it is not your traditional plastic – but a casserole dish direct from the oven is excessive! Cover your casserole dish with foil and let the dish sit for 20 or 30 minutes on a cooling rack before putting it in the carrier! The casserole is still very hot, but the dish has a chance to cool. I still put down a towel or heat pad under it even after letting it cool, but you may not have to do that – that’s just me. I have used it twice and it has worked great! I get to my destination and even after sitting on a cooling rack for 20 minutes and in the carrier for two hours, the food is still piping hot – and it has not melted for me!It fits a 13 x 9 casserole dish perfectly. A larger 15 x 10 casserole dish will not fit in this carrier.

Fantastic hot & cool
This carrier does it all at once! The bottom could be cold and the top section could be hot. If you prefer both cold be hot. Once you get to your destination your food will have stayed your original temperature when you left home.
