Good Bike Rack
Tightening the red handle expands some built in pads that lock the rack tight into the receiver and reduces the side to side play of the rack. The rack seems to be well built. The small downside is that it can be difficult to line up the holes so the pins can fit when lowering or folding the rack.

Hitch locking pin is too short!
Seems sturdy but heavy.Needed to purchase a $24 U-Haul trailer hitch pin because the one that came with it isnât long enough to fit a Subaru hitchâ¦â¦

Poor Durability and Worse Customer Service â Avoid This Rack
I purchased this bike rack in 2023, and after just one season, the square/cotter pin that holds the upright feature in place failed. The pin is attached to the rack by a thin piece of wire to prevent loss â yet by the following season, it was gone. I reached out to forwodebike.com to buy a replacement. Their response? “This component cannot be disassembled separately. We are very sorry that this product has been improved and upgraded, and currently, there are no old version accessories available.”Translation: they knowingly sell a product with a small but critical part that canât be replaced â and when it inevitably fails, your entire rack is useless. Thatâs unacceptable. A $5 part should not be the death of an expensive rack.Iâll attempt a retrofit to salvage my purchase, but the fact that Forwodeâs answer was essentially âtoo badâ says everything about their customer service and their commitment to existing customers. This is not how you build trust or brand loyalty.Save yourself the frustration. Choose a company that stands behind its products and supports the people who buy them.

Seems solid and sturdy
This is our first time to use a hitch rack, we are heading out on a 2000 mile summer road tripThe usual rack we use is a simple one that goes over the back spare tire on a Jeep Wrangler. But our Mercedes GLA250 SUV is going on the road trip and it has a plastic spoiler over the rear hatchback window so it needs a hitch rack. $350 at U-Haul for the hitch. Nice price for this rack, probably will only ever use it a few times.
