Each UWS tool box is built from extra-thick aluminum welded into a single-piece tub. This provides the tool box with reliable strength and helps keep the interior sealed off from the elements. Aluminum construction also makes the box highly resistant to corrosion for long-lasting use. To add even more strength to the crossover truck tool box, the lid features our patented RigidCore foam-filled design. Layered between two sheets of aluminum, this core greatly increases the structural integrity of the lid to prevent bending and warping and to ensure smooth opening and closing. The lid is able to open to a full 90 degrees, providing better access to tools, equipment and other stored items. It also features self-opening struts to make it easy to open the box when your hands are full. This particular truck tool box features a low profile, meaning the lid is built lower than our standard lid. This provides a better view out the rear cab window and additional clearance for other items in the truck bed, if needed. To keep out moisture, dirt and even insects, the lid is also fitted with a MicroSeal gasket that seals off the inside of the tool box from the outside elements. fits 2008 Tacoma extra can with 6â bed great.
Great solid tool box for the price and fits great in my 2008 Toyota Tacoma extra can with 6â bed. Seems well built and something that would hold up well to someone trying to break into it Iâm very satisfied. Only complaint is mine came with a big dent in the front part of the lid but thatâs it.

Great box but came with a dent in the bottom
This is a great and sturdy toolbox with a good latch mechanism. But despite paying for the updated packaging it still came with a small dent in the bottom. For the amount of money paid, this should not happen. Otherwise, I am happy with the product thus far.

Fits a 23â Tacoma
Amazon isnât sure if it will fit but the measurements work, so I ordered it. The hooks donât reach to hold it down but some metal screws with the washers provided work fantastic. Simple, functional.

Horrible welds
Professional welder here. I have no confidence in the longevity of this box due to the horrible welds. Looks like they didn’t even use gas. I would have been fine with it if it was half the price I paid. Extremely overpriced for the lack of quality you get.

Somewhat overpriced, lacking quality control.
First of all, this box fits just fine on a 2024 Tacoma, even though Amazon disagrees. I purchased mounting hardware that utilizes the accessory rail in the bed and installation was a breeze. It comes with the typical J-hooks which I did not useCons: Only one mounting hole per side. There really should be two. I had to adjust both latches before the tool box would even close properly. Hardware was tight, indicating that it left the factory in this condition. “Extra thick aluminum” not sure about this because the bottom(where all the weight is) seems kinda flimsy.Pros: It’s a good looking toolbox. It was well packed and protected in the factory shipping box. It includes foam/rubber to protect your bed rails. **Also there is a fish on the UWS logo.**I would say the overall quality of this tool box is on par with(maybe slightly below) Husky or another brand from a big home improvement chain. That would put it in the $350-400 price range, not the $650 I paid. I do not regret this purchase, I just think you can do better for this kind of money.

Small dent, but otherwise perfect.
Easy to install just by following instructions included. Did arrive with a small dent on the cover, but one that does not interfere with operation. It seems as though many people have had problems with their toolboxes arriving dented.
