Customers say
Customers find the water bottle excellent for keeping drinks cold and cycling, particularly for touring and bike packing/camping. The bottle fits well in bike cages and has a beautiful design, with one customer noting its well-thought-out twist design. While some customers consider it worth the extra weight, others find it heavy, and there are mixed opinions about scratch resistance.

Well insulated but heavy
These are very well insulated, keeping ice water icy for many hours (compared to about 1 hour for plastic insulated water bottles. No squeezing, the water just flows out of the nozzle. They fit into a bike water bottle cage, but are a bit heavy for my biking adventures (they would probably work fine on an electric bike). I use them as an around the house or in-the-car water bottle.

My favorite water bottle.
Amazing at keeping water cold. Ice lasts most of the day, even in high heat. It’s a little heavier than a plastic water bottle, but I’m not racing and it cools way better than insulated plastic bottles. Expensive, but absolutely worth it.Design:The flow of water is much better than a standard bottle since it uses a tube to replace the air at the bottom of the bottle as you drink.

Keeps ice in the heat, upgrade your cage
Great product. Only downside is it doesn’t fit most cages. Had to replace my current cage but having ice lasting 2 hours into my ride in the Florida summer sun is worth it. I would reconsider the color tho, scratches are noticeable from my old cage. Also my bike can only fit 1 bottle this size, wish it was a little bigger.

Great bottle with a color-matching issue
I own the natural stainless version of this bottle and I love it. It keeps water cold for hours, it has a great shape, and it is easy to drink from. So I thought I would pick up the “stone” color version to match my E-bike color. it has a similarly great design, but unfortunately the body color and the cap color don’t match. Not even close. This is a bit of a surprise as I expected Camelbak to have better quality than this, but it is still the durable and easy to clean and operate bottle I have gotten use to in the pure stainless. I just wouldn’t get this color again, and I don’t know if other colors suffer from the same problem.

One of the best investments I have made in cycling
I like these so much I got four of them – two of the 530 ml and two of the 650 ml. I cycle year-round and in the summer, it often reaches over 100 F in Boise. Injecting icewater into your core is a very good way to cool down, as well as hydrate. Plastic bottles, even when frozen solid, just don’t last in the heat. So I gave Camelbak vacuum insulated bottles a try. At first, I filled them with 3/4 ice and 1/4 water. On a 102 F day I was really thirsty and hot so I took my first chugs, drinking deeply and long thanks to the excellent flow. Within seconds, the gnarliest brain freeze of my life gripped me and I had to pull over on the trail. As I stood there – trembling, paralyzed and in agony – all I could think was “Awesome. This is exactly what I wanted.” Now I take smaller sips more frequently. Insulation is excellent and I keep a HydraPak with me to refill as needed and I stop into mini-marts as needed to get more ice and water. I did get some silicone rubber dust caps because the nipples will get very dusty if not covered. I also got some silicone bottle sleeves from Fact Goods and they keep the bottles secure in the cages with zero rattling or scratching. I did have to pry open the aluminum bottle cages a bit to get the sleeves to fit. I look forward to putting warm water in these during winter riding so the water doesn’t freeze. One suggestion: Maybe put a molded lanyard hole somewhere on the lid. I sometimes carry all four of these into a store to load up on ice and a finger lanyard would be really nice. I also wish you could completely disassemble the lids for cleaning but they seem to clean up with rinsing and air drying and periodic machine dishwashing. I only use these for water and no other liquids or supplements.

Best bottle
All bike riders need at least one of these. Used them on recent trip where temps got over 37°/99°f contents stayed cool and refreshing for 10 hours. Granted I was refilling almost hourly with cold water, but this kept things cold! Fits into regular water bottle cage. Design allows for easy use without stopping.

Fast drink and light and keeps it cold.
This is a new style of bottle from Camelback, till it up and get a gulp of your favorite fluid. No biting of the valve nor pulling the drink neck out. And if you like yours cold this one will not die from the heat like the best of the plastic bottles. Ride and 1-1/2 to 2 hours and the fluid stay near the start of the ride. I would prefer a cold drink to any bottle that weighs minor grams less. I recommend it to anyone that likes their drinks chilled and do watch out as you will drink more if you enjoy each swig.

Great water bottle!
Keeps liquids cold for a long time – much longer than my plastic insulated bottles. My only complaint is that it can rattle in the bike water bottle cage on a rough road so Iâm trying different cages to see if I can find one that will not rattle. Even with the rattle, it is still worth it.
