Customers say
Customers find the sewing kit great for travel and college students, with a good selection of thread colors. However, the quality and ease of use receive mixed feedback – while some say it gets the job done, others report issues with scissors that don’t work and cheap materials. Moreover, the thread quality and value for money are also mixed, with some finding it good for the price while others consider it not worth the cost. Additionally, the kit’s size receives mixed reactions, with some appreciating its compact design for travel while others find it too small, and durability is a concern as needles and thread break easily.

Simple little kit
Nothing big and fancy. If you need large amounts of thread to do a sewing project, this is not for you. This is a perfect little home kit that can sit in a drawer and be used for simple projects like sewing a button or fixing a loose hem. Great for young people living on their own for the first time to have on hand.

Includes 20 Spools of High Quality, Strong Thread
Since we moved recently, we haven’t been able to locate our sewing box; so we had to have something for minor repairs. This kit is a really good kit for the money and far exceeded my expectations. It has 20 different color spools of thread that are high quality and have a nice sheen. This thread is also strong and I had no problem with breakage. There are 3 needles, a needle threader, 26″ tape measure, plastic thimble, 2 snap fasteners, 3 buttons, 1 safety pin and small scissors. The small sewing scissors are stiff but they are sharp and cut thread very well.So far, I have sewn my nephew’s teddy bear back together with this kit and I had everything that I needed; even the perfect cream colored thread.

The scissors are pretty much useless and wouldn’t even cut the thread
This is a fairly basic kit and is by no means professional grade. The scissors are pretty much useless and wouldn’t even cut the thread. The needle eyelets are fairly small, but I was still able to thread it fairly quickly. I just needed something quick and relatively cheap to sew on a button. If you are someone who does not sew items fairly often and is just looking for minor repairs, then this kit will work fine for you. I would not purchase it to do any heavy duty sewing.

Cheap, cheap, cheap
Opening the kit actually made me laugh. It is beyond cheaply made. The super small scissors are a joke, for a second I really thought it was a joke, lol. It took everything I had to pry them open and then the handles fell off. Keep in mind yhat the entire length of the scissors is maybe 3 inches. We threw them away after we stopped laughing. The tape measure is paper and the kit box fell apart in my hands when I was first opening it. I knew it was a $5 sewing kit and really didn’t expect much. When I was younger, we use to buy Singer sewing kits for going to school, first apt, etc and they were never much but you could make a repair in a pinch. It gave you a variety of color sewing thread, needles, scissors for the basics and this will give you that except for the scissors. It is what it is, $5 worth of thread and 3 needles.

Couldn’t find this anywhere else
The lid on my sewing kit, which was exactly like this one, cracked and I wanted to find a replacement. I went everywhere, to no avail, and then thought to look on Amazon. It is great that they have it because I love it!!!The people complaining about the scissors. Get real. These little things won’t cut air but who cares. It’s the handy colored thread and needles that make this sewing kit amazing.

Classic Kit
It was the exact kit I was looking for as I had one previously (the threads got kitten attacked years ago, not its fault I parted ways with the previous kit). I considered smaller kits, more like travel kits which I’ve even got out of coin machines at Hotels, but this one has a little more bang, more threads whereas travel kits give you very limited thread lengths, I never used up any of the thread color. I used to sew and had a sewing machine and a lot more sewing stuff — I still loved this little kit and even my husband would use it as a go to for fixing a button etc. It’s OK for travel, but I had a really minimal one and I travel really light so, no, I’d hope I’d find another hotel vending machine with a tiny kit.

Pretty cheap and pretty trash
Let’s get to each individual part that is in this.Thread: It is standard so I won’t make any complaints.Scissors: Cheapest and smallest holes for almost every finger for everyone. They actually bend while I cut and can’t actually make a cut. Unusable, toss away.Pouch of knick knacks: Button I won’t use, same with clasp, the needle threader is cheap and unusable as well.Needles: The tiniest eyehole ever and three of the same needles. Not three different, three very hard to thread eyeholes. Why?Other items: Ruler that I won’t use, same with finger protector. Things they always put in but not to be thought of use for 99 percent of people. The Case: Possibly the worst thing about this. So cheap that it doesn’t close after one use. So fragile that I can’t store anything on top or around it and if it fell, would shatter to pieces. My one star review is based that I just wanted a hard case with three varied needles and thread. Instead I got a case of crap with thread. Singer sucks.

Singer Sewing Kit
I lost my sewing box somewhere in my own apartment! So, what to do? See if Amazon could help me. Sure enough, Amazon came to my rescue with a smart little sewing kit and enough thread in a variety of colors to keep me going until I find my other one. I nevercease to be amazed at what is available for sale at Amazon. I must not be the only person who lost their original. I love it, and Ireceived it so quickly, I did some mending right away! Thank you Amazon!

Nice little kit. All you need to repair your clothes once in a while. Various color threads. The little scissor is somehow hard to manipulate, but it will loose with the use. Comes with only three needles, so if they break you will have to buy more, so plan ahead.

Las cosas que trae no se ven de muy buena calidad, pero cumple con su objetivo.

La caja donde vienen es un tanto fea, pero el contenido es excelente, muy completo y perfecto para el precio
