Great cell camera for the price
First time using spypoint cell cameras but had to try it for the price. I’ve used many other brands ( more expensive) but after using this spypoint im really happy and would buy this over the others. Pictures are nice and clear day and night, trigger speed is fast. all pictures were taken right as the animal entered the frame so 3 burst would actually get you 3 pictures of the animal. Nice and compact, setup with app was easy and the best part is you get 100 pics a month free, no other brand gives you that. Battery life seems good so far. It does take the micro SD card not the full size so that may be a draw back for some. and the threaded hole is on the back of the camera instead of the bottom. Not a big deal for me cause I always just strap these to a tree, and lastly i did notice that the speed of the notification to your phone when the camera takes a pic is a little slower than my other brands usually takes about 40-60 seconds but not a big deal to me. overall very happy with the camera performance and price

Excellent value for the cost
Very nice entry level trail cams. Not the highest resolution pix, but good value for the price. Comes with 100 photos a month no cost plan, but you can get plans from Spypoint for additional photos per month for example 250/month and the current annual cost for that plan is $99.00 (Aug 2025) and this applies to all the Spypoint cameras you have making it a fantastic value. Photos can be sent direct to your phone. No problems with connectivity and the optional Lithium Ion batteries last about 8 or 9 month on a single charge.

From this two pack the one that works is great. Getting the other one to work…
The seller appears to be the manufacturer. The manufacturer has no customer service or even a valid presence other than an overseas chat service. As you can see from the title, one of the cameras in this two pack works fine. The second one does not. Five chats, no result. After setting up these cameras, both of them gave a message that firmware was being downloaded and that it would take 5 to 10 minutes for that to occur. After that, both cameras were tested at home and appeared to be working. However, when I took them out to the field, one worked fine, the other one did not. The problem appeared to be that it was downloading the firmware at least according to chat (remember, it had already completed the download at home and the camera was functioning). You can’t download the firmware remotely anymore so you have to connect it to your computer and download the software. So I did that. It looked like it worked. I went out to the field again and turned it on. Guess what, downloading firmware. I left it in the field the second time just in case it would finish (90 percent signal at the time) and got back on chat when I got home. I was assured that firmware was downloading and that the camera would be fine. I was also told that if the firmware did not finish downloading by the time I got up this morning that the camera was defective. Guess what? Still downloading at 4:45 A.m.. get back on chat, I have the camera with me, have to download the firmware again. Connected to the PC. Now it won’t even connect. I tried the telephone number on the manufacturer’s website. It goes to dead air. Not so much as a ring. I tried several times so it wasn’t a one-off. I come to the Amazon site and use the phone number (different one ) posted under the seller’s information here. That phone number goes to some kind of a sweepstakes entity and has nothing to do with spypoint. All they had to do at spypoint on chat was admit that there was something wrong with one of the cameras and replace it. I would have no problem returning the defective camera. Instead, my guess is they Just wanted to Wear me down with circular actions to the point I would give up.Something I want to mention in one of the chats is that I was told that unless they went through, all of the troubleshooting steps, an exchange was not possible nor was a refund. Amazon, on the other hand is refunding me as soon as I return both cameras and they provided me with the necessary return code.Things happen, sometimes a product is effective. I was more than willing to keep the good one and exchange the bad one. Rather than having customer service and standing behind its product, spypoint is going to send you to an overseas chat center where the representatives are instructed just to string you along. That they don’t have an actual working telephone number says that the company itself is questionable. The working camera gets five stars. That there is no support other than parroting the instruction manual and the lack of a valid telephone number is why this is one star.

Great cellular cameras at a great price!
These are a great upgrade from the Link Micro. Picture quality is excellent. Trigger speed is very good. The test feature is also nice. I would like to see more options for time delay between triggers. There’s nice adjustability for the number of pictures per trigger and sensitivity. I still have some sun and shadow triggers even when adjusted to the lowest sensitivity. The option to take a pic at the scheduled communication time is nice. Being able to toggle between camera and video in the app is also another nice feature.Edit: If you notice that pictures aren’t transmitting, make sure you go into camera settings in the app, click on Cellular Setup and check the daily sync time as well as how many time per day it transmits. I forgot to set my two new cameras to the same settings as my others and wondered why I wasn’t getting the pictures of me walking by the camera until hours later. For those having issues with setup, Download the Spypoint app and create an account. When adding make sure you select the appropriate camera. I use the option to scan the QR which works pretty flawlessly. Once I’ve registered the camera to the app, I do a FULL not a quick format of a micro SD card and install. Put in 8 AA batteries and power the camera on. Once the camera links to service, I typically leave the camera where it is and walk by it several times to trigger. I know I could use the test button but I like to make sure the motion detection is working. Don’t expect immediate transfer of pics. It takes about 2 minutes from the time the picture is taken for it so be sent to the app for viewing. Another tip from having 13 (4 flex and 9 link micro) deployed, when the batteries start showing around 30%… change them, especially if it’s cold out. Also, In the app, I set all of my cameras to communicate at the same time each day. This way I’ll know if one isn’t working by simply tapping status or checking pictures at the set daily communication time. I’ve recently started using AA Lithium so far so good on those but cold weather will be the real test.
