Customers say
Customers find the phone mount works well in the CD slot and is easy to install, taking just one minute to set up. The build quality is solid, with a sturdy CD slot anchor and super stable cradle, and they appreciate its secure hold. The charging speed receives mixed feedback – while some report fast Pixel 4 XL charging, others say it doesn’t charge well. Moreover, the ease of adjustment is mixed, with some finding it difficult to tighten down, and durability is also mixed, with some reporting it lasts a long time while others say it broke after two months of use.

Great Car Phone Mount – CD Slot
Mounted easily in our CD slot and works great. Really like just pushing in place and removing with one hand. Charges fine through my phone hard case. Easy to adjust angle too. Great customer service – the dual charger didn’t work but emailed the company and they sent a free replacement right away.

High quality, very nice spring loaded phone grip, good enough charging.
I recently bought a used Rav4 with a cd slot that I don’t use. The car is old enough that there is no screen, so no worries about a phone obscuring anything important. The mount works well in the cd slot, especially with the little spacer* that forces the fingers in the slot to open wider. With the included lighter socket charger adapter, the wireless charger provides enough current to run navigation with the screen on and slowly charge the battery at the same time. I love the one touch spring loaded grip/release mechanism – easy to mount and dismount with one hand.*One small issue with the documentation. There is a small rectangular spacer (mentioned above) whose job it is to make the cd slot fingers open wider. This is not discussed at all on the instructions, and it is labeled as a “bracket,” which it is not. By opening the fingers wider, the mount is more solid in wider slots, which I found useful, but only after figuring out that was the intent.

Great design, but not strong enough for heavy phones
This is an excellent mount which can hold even the largest phones. It’s easy to use and the charging works well, even through a case with a couple credit cards in it. However if you have a heavy phone like the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, the clip that holds this mount to the vent just isn’t strong enough. It will hold at first, but after a short time, the vibration of the car shakes it loose. To be fair, I’m not really sure that this problem can be solved with a vent-mount product. The S21 Ultra is just too heavy. That said, I was able to solve the problem using a zip tie to firmly secure the clip to the car vent. The rest of the mount works great and I didn’t want to return it, so manually securing the vent clip made this an excellent mount in my car. Just beware that you may need to get creative.

“slightly” fast wireless charging, but still a car mount
I already liked iOttie regular mount that get inserted into the CD slot, so I bought this for the added wireless charging feature. Using it with the provided wired power adapter, it charges my Galaxy S21FE at 7.5w or 1,500mAh. Maybe newer Galaxy is capable of full 10w charging, I don’t know. Since most recent phones batteries are 4000mA or higher, this translates to at least 2.5hrs to charge a full battery or 90%. Certainly it is slower than cable charging, but still acceptable for me with the convenience of being wireless. I bought the refurb of course, I wouldn’t buy it for full price unless I know for certain it charges my phone at 10w.

Not durable; save your money
This worked fine for 2 months and then I removed a charging cord to charge a different type of device and the plastic top of the plug came off. Now the usb port still works but the wireless charging doesnât. Save your money and buy a more inexpensive cheaply made charger.

So close…
I don’t have bluetooth in my car, so I had to constantly switch between plugging in my phone for audio and plugging it in to charge. Couldn’t charge and play audio at the same time. Needed a new car mount, so decided to try this one since it got good reviews. I’ve had it for about 10 hours of total driving time, and it’s good, but there are two issues that may be dealbreakers:1) The feet at the bottom that support the phone aren’t wide enough and aren’t adjustable (for width). The mount can fit my phone with case, but the little flap on my iPhone that covers up the lightning port is too wide to fit between the feet, so I have to slide the phone up in the mount, which then doesn’t align with the charging coil. So either I have to take the case off or flip the phone upside down so the lightning port is facing up. Neither is a good option, and this is probably a dealbreaker for me.2) Not sure why, but for some reason when the phone is in the mount, it interferes with my ability to tap on the screen. I would tap a button, but nothing would happen. It would randomly sometimes take me 2-3 taps on the screen for it to register. When I took the phone out of the mount, it worked just fine, meaning that it had something to do with being mounted.Otherwise, this is a great mount – it fits securely, even with a larger phone and case on, and I had no concerns with it falling out on bumpy roads or during fast acceleration or deceleration. The locking arms and release worked great, and it charged quickly using the included charger, even while using GPS navigation (though as noted above I had to have my phone in upside down to charge it).I could probably overlook issue #2, but having to take the case off or use my phone upside down when charging is too much of an inconvenience and I’ll likely look for a different mount.

CD Mount Style is #1 of Car Phone Mounts
I have to say this is the best mount style of all the options out there. I’ve had the dash/windshield style previously for 3 years, but overtime the heat has either made the suction cup release or even the black 3M sticky for the dash. I don’t like the vent mount because it wobbles and I don’t like the cup holder mount because mainly you’re looking to far away from where you should be, not to mention it takes a cup holder. The CD mount is secure and is at the right line of sight. The only unfortunate thing is that it blocks my screen, which I really only mind the most when I need to use the back up camera. I just simply tilt it up or rotate to horizontal to get a full view when backing up.I previously had a wireless charger style and once again purchased the wireless charger option. This is very convenient to quickly put your phone on the mount and charge without hassling with the wire. The CD mount also conveniently puts the phone near the vents to cool if necessary. I also routed the charging cable with stickies to keep it organized.

I researched a lot of car wireless charger chargers/holder before deciding to buy the iOttie Easy One Touch. Having it mounted on the now obsolete CD slot is ideal for me, it does not obstruct the front view and looks much better aesthetically. The only gripe I have is that the audio system’s power button is slightly harder to reach, lesser so is the hazard switch. But the holder feels really sturdy and the wireless charging is seamless. It is easy to mount a large phone like the Samsung Note 10+, press the two protruding plastic arms on both sides to free the phone. The car charger plugs into the cigarette lighter, there is an extra USB slot on the charger to plug in a standard device. The product was shipped all the way from Kentucky in the US, so it did take some time to arrive, it certainly doesn’t seem to have been in vain.

I recently upgraded my phone from a wired to a wireless charging one (a Google one at that) so I needed a wireless cradle for my car. This one seemed to fit the bill, plus I didn’t see many (any) out there which supported the Google phones apart from this one, so it was a win-win already. The cost was more than I’ve ever paid for a cradle, but when it arrived I can honestly say that it’s as though nothing has not been well thought out. The packaging was superb – 100%.I’ve only had this cradle for a couple of weeks, and so I know it’s too early to be conclusive, but I felt I really needed to leave a review because a few of the one-star reviews did put me off, and I feel this needs correcting, as far as my own personal experience goes.It is in regards to the connection method.Having read the one-star reviews and put off by the possibility that the cradle wouldn’t stay put when connected to a vent slat, I chose to use the CD-Holder instead. Whilst that worked perfectly, in my case the phone then blocked most of my navigation screen (which also is a rear view camera) and so I wasn’t too happy about that.So I tried the vent holder (my previous cradles were vent holder types) and was again, blown away….DO NOT BELIEVE all the one star reviews claiming the vent holder isn’t secure. In my case, I cannot believe how SOLID the unit is when held using the vent holder. My advice is to make sure you push the vent-holder ALL THE WAY until it cannot go any more. And do that VERY, VERY SLOWLY because the vent holder tongs are extremely tight, and there’s hardly any gap between, so do it very slowly so that you don’t put too much sudden force onto your vent slat.As I say, I now have the very best cradle I’ve ever had, it holds my phone 100% and does not move or vibrate AT ALL during driving. My only complaint about the device is that the USB connector cannot go fully into the unit, it goes approximately 3/4s of the way in, so perhaps a bit of a manufacturing fault.Oh yes, and the charging light is a bit superfluous as you cannot see it when you have a phone on the stand and the phone obscures the light!Still, 10/10!
