Introducing HBSS Structure screw: Your Trusted Solution for Quality Fasteners With HBSS fasteners, you can complete your jobs with enhanced productivity. Our innovative thread form feature reduces installation torque and allows fast driving and easy installation. Additionally, the recessed Star Drive eliminates the risk of recess stripping, ensuring improved productivity on the job site. Our fasteners are not only reliable but also built to last. They are corrosion-resistant and approved for use in treated lumber, making them suitable for interior and exterior applications. Our fasteners have covered everything from structural decking to heavy-duty framing, LVL fastening to ledger boards, multi-ply projects, and interior and exterior remodelling. One of the key factors behind the durability of our fasteners is the Silver Ruspert Coating. This high-grade protective coating acts as a barrier against environmental corrosion. With a multi-layered composition, including a free zinc layer for sacrificial galvanic protection, a topcoat of baked ceramic for physical security, and a chemical conversion layer to bind it all together, our fasteners offer superior corrosion resistance against salt water, gas, and other weather conditions. They also minimize contact corrosion with other metals and resist scratching. Another advantage of our coatings is that they do not wear off when cutting a thread into hard surfaces like concrete. Furthermore, they can be used with treated timber, providing versatility and peace of mind. Our coatings are applied at low processing temperatures below 200 degrees, ensuring the protection of the metal without causing any unwanted changes.

Nice Screws
These are nice screws and a great size for any dyier. Many times you think 4.5 is enough for fencing, I promise you these are good to have on hand. Now, mine didnt have any t30 bits, but I’m not going to take any stars away as I have t30’s in the chest. Sometimes guys will make a fence out of cedar and attach the 2×4 to the outside, it is great to have a grippy 6’s screw to lag bolt that fence together. Sometimes you need to attach a 2×4 to a 4×4, this 6 inch attaches much better then 4 inch timber screws that sometimes leave less to be desired strength. The most incredible application is when fences are old and falling down, these screws will go through a 2×4, and fence board, and a 4×4 and you wont pull that apart with anything, this puts an endo skeleton on the fence and now fence posts will not fall down unless they all fall down.

Budget Friendly Structural Screws
These are very reasonably priced for the size and quantity. These can be used in place of nails for securing large timbers or framing members. They have a higher shear strength than most screws. The points are sharp so they are easy to drive in. I found a hammer drill works better than an impact for these, but a high torque impact will work as well. The reason I am knocking off one star is that these all have some small imperfections on the surface, and they are much lighter weight than the same size structural screw from Simpson String Tie. The Simpson brand screws feel like a much higher quality product, but also cost a lot more. These screws are a bargain in comparison.

Well designed – Fast to Install
These seem to be a viable substitute for typical 1/4″ hex head lag bolts with washers for backyard non-engineered landscaping projects and the like. Before using in the construction of a structure I would check with my engineer and/or architect to see that these can be approved for use.The general self-drill point plus thread & smooth shank with reamer design appears to consider drawing framing members tightly together such as a 2x whatever attached to a 4x whatever. Using my battery operated 20 volt typical jobsite hand drill, I fully embedded a few into a Doug-Fir beam without any problems whatsoever. The corrosion resistance information reads well, however time will tell. I suspect these will do just fine in treated lumber and will be using them for higher shear strength (compared to deck screws) on an upcoming foot bridge project. Considering appearance, I believe they will impart a very “heavy-duty” look which is one of the architectural intentions for this project. They may be just what we are looking for, thank you!

Quality Wood Screws for structural work!
This screw is top-notch! I have purchased named-brand screws at the big orange home store that are very similar to these. These screws feel good and are easy to work with. The screws have “cee threads” which help with seating the screw. These CEE threads are six treads that enlarge the screw hole for the non-threaded portion of the fastener, allowing the wood to settle easily and increasing the screwâs drawing strength. The CEE thread also reduces the likelihood of splitting the wood and the friction on the screw shank which can result in lowering the driving torque. Typically, these types of screws are used for building homes, sheds, or anything with wood that requires extreme holding strength. The pricing is comparable to the name-brand screws. The screws come with the Torx bit required to install these screws. The Torx head helps with preventing stripping of the screw. The screws are coated with zinc and ceramic to protect against harsh conditions and can be used with pressure-treated wood, hardwood, or softwood.Overall, these are good quality screws. Pricing is similar to the name brand stuff.

The thing to use for serious construction
These screws are far more substantial than typical screws used in construction. The first photo shows a drywall screw on the left with the HBSS screw on the right and a typical construction screw in the middle.1. The drywall screw should never be used for construction as they will break when being screwed in and will rust and deteriorate over time… leading to additional breakage and potential structural failure.2. The standard construction screw is fine for basic framing and such, but I have broken a few of those as well.3. The HBSS screw should be used when building substantial structures such as decks, pergolas, and patio covers.A star drive bit is required to drive both the standard construction screw and the HBSS screw. Star drive bits are included in the HBSS box. For the HBSS screw, you will need a high-power impact driver. I used a 36V Metabo to test drive some screws. My 18V driver did not have enough power to drive it all the way in one shot.

Heavy duty framing screws
I’m replacing my old shed and I’ll be using these to frame the floor which will then sit on piers. While it’s a simple enough framing job it will be open to the air from underneath, unheated, and exposed to temperature and humidity changes pretty much constantly. So the screws that hold the outer frame and joists together must be strong enough to support the weight of the things stored in the shed and me when I’m in there plus they must last for many years. I am confident these screws will do the job and will probably out live the shed itself, they are not only thick but they have a wide head like an integrated washer to prevent the head from being pulled through the beam. These are well made screws that will last, they’re not cheap either in price or quality but I think they’re worth every dime.
