The Swagman PICKUP FORK MOUNT RACK is a bike rack for pickup trucks. It’s a simple and reliable way to carry up to two bikes on most mid-size and full-size pickups. The rack’s telescoping bar and press fit installation make it easy to fit to the bed of your pickup. A locking push button secures the rack in place. The 9mm quick release heads provide a secure platform for your bikes. It’s easy to add an additional fork mount (sold separately) if you want to carry three bikes. Caution is recommended to not over tighten when installing between the truck bed walls as this can cause the lock to not function properly. Please note this rack only fits 9mm quick release equipped bicycles.
EASY TO ASSEMBLE: The PICKUP has a telescoping bar ensures quick and easy no-drilling installation and adjusts to fit many truck bed sizes. The rubber end pads help to grip your bed rails and prevent scratches and abrasions
WORRY FREE SECURITY: Bikes are secured on the fork mount blocks. These blocks include 9mm Quick Release skewers that anchor and secure your bikes to the rack.
VERSATILE: Transports up to 2 bikes, maximum weight capacity is 35lbs per bike. The fork blocks can be re-positioned along the main bar to ensure that the bikes are spaced properly. This rack only fits bikes with 9mm quick releases, it does not fit any thru-axle equipped bikes. For thru axle pick up racks, please see our Swagman Patrol (B01FDN1LGU)
STURDY: Made of solid stainless steel that will last for a long time, investing in a Swagman PICKUP Fork Mount Rack is a no brainer
Customers say
Customers find this bike rack to be the best they’ve used, praising its solid construction and perfect fit in truck beds. The rack is easy to install and use, with bikes staying securely in place during transport, and one customer notes it works well with disc brakes. While customers consider it well worth the price, several report issues with the locking mechanism not working properly.

Sturdiness and price.
Works great but had to install a little differently because I have a bed cover. Very sturdy and well made.

An Elegant Solution to My Problem
This is a departure for me, since the last several years I’ve been using a (very expensive) Yakima hitch-mounted rack to carry my bicycles with my truck. However, this year a new development foiled that plan – I bought a travel trailer, which kinda has priority on the hitch now. Not wanting to throw my expensive 29’er into the bed of the truck with the ice chests and firewood when we go camping, I set out to find an alternative. This carrier kept coming up in every search that I did. After deciding to give it a try, I’m happy that I did. My first impression is that it’s heavy – much more solid and substantial feeling than it appears just looking at the pictures. It seems to be well-made. Already off to a good start. It’s also easy to install, and just cams right into place in the bed. I was worried about the amount of force required, thinking this was a good way to bow the sides of your bed rails out, but it really doesn’t take that much to lock securely into place. If you set it back about five or six inches from the bulkhead of the bed, it gives you a place to slip your front wheel in for transport. I used some buckle-type hook and loop straps to secure the wheel to the horizontal bar. For what it’s worth, my install vehicle is a 2016 Ford F-250.I secured the bike to the rack and left it in place for a day while I ran errands all over town, and the bike never budged a bit. This weekend, I’ll have two bikes on it for 6 days as we take the RV up to the northeast part of the state for Memorial Day Weekend. That will be the litmus test, but I don’t expect any problems at all. (Interesting anecdote: The first time I went to this lake three years ago with my brand-spanking-new $400+ Yakima, the Yakima rack fell apart on the way.)There’s one recommendation I would make for installation… Swagman supplies some pins that screw into the mounting feet of the carrier for cases where you have a slick drop-in bedliner. I don’t have a bedliner, but the location of the pins is thoughtfully just below the bed rail, so I suggest installing them anyway. It provides a little extra security – if anything should go wrong, the pins will keep the carrier from getting up and off of the bed rail. And now for an important announcement: The manual says keep your fingers out of the way when you lock down the Swagman bar. PAY ATTENTION. I got the web of my right thumb in the wrong place as I cammed that bar down, and it bit the holy *&^#%@ out of me. I’ve still got a big blood blister. Just keep your hands where they should be and it will be a happier experience!

Works great with aftermarket mounts for thru axle.
My new pickup is a Colorado so the bike doesn’t fit laying in the bed. I only drive with my bike a handful of times a year so I didnt want a hitch rack. This fit the bill almost perfect. I have 12mm thru axles on 2 of my bikes. Thankfully convertible mounts are sold on Amazon too. Bought both figuring I would have to drill the new mount to fit. To my surprise the new mounts bolted right up and look like they came. Super happy with this purchase!

Almost perfect
I had once built a custom bike mount for the back of my pick up truck. I used a piece of angle aluminum, stainless steel hardware and bike mounts from Amazon. It was semi-permanent and worked very well for the intended purpose. I sold the truck and the bike mount along with it.I was looking to add something similar to my new truck and found this browsing Amazon. If you are looking for a simple, effective, easily removable way to transport your bike in the bed of a truck, this is a great option. It’s built very well and for the price is a steal of a deal.My only gripe is it’s locking mechanism. It’s incorporated to try to deter thieves of taking it (and your bikes) from the bed of your pick up. Well, it’s way too easy to accidentally lock and when you don’t have the key around it can be a problem. Unlocking the lock with the key is also a bit tricky and seems to be a bit of an afterthought on this product. It’s not a deal breaker for me as I usually take it out of the truck when not in use anyway but thought I’d mention it.Overall, a solid product that I’m glad that I own.

Worked great with My Tacoma.
I have a 2018 Tacoma short bed with the factory liner and Backflip MX4. I had to install the bar towards the very back of the bed. The side brackets have an L shape so it has to be on a corner which with the bed cover, this the the back towards the tailgate was the best option. The bar is really secure once itâs locked into place. The bed is short and the bikes barely fit. Iâm impressed, this seems really sturdy and tight. The bikes are snug in the bracket. Overall this works great and required no drilling or permenant installation. Would recommend.

Great Product, but had to Fix Locking Mechanism before use
This product is perfect for my F-150, affordable, features a locking mechanism, adjusts to the width, and securely fixes bikes to my truck. However I was very disappointed when I assembled the rack only to find out that the locking mechanism didn’t work. After unbolting the two pieces it became clear that the pin did not clear the pre-drilled hole. Because I am handy, I was able to fix it in 10 minutes and it worked perfectly. I am excited to use it this weekend, just feel bad for those folks that aren’t able to fix it themselves and would have to go through the trouble of returning it.

Solid and Secure
Great product, best bang for your buck! So I’ve used it like 5 times now. It was super easy to install, feels secure and I usually just leave it installed. I just took a trip from AZ to Bryce Canyon, to Yellowstone/Grand Teton, to Mount Rushmore, to Rocky Mountain National Park to Durango and back to AZ. My bikes stayed secure the whole time, with all of that driving and bouncing on dirt roads I never once had an issue nor worried about my bikes coming loose. Works great in the back of my 2019 Ranger with 5′ bed with a slight angling of the rear bike tires. I’m sure it will be perfect in any other truck with 5′ bed or longer. Does appear to adjust pretty wide as well. Solid!
