Frustrating at first. It gets better. I don’t regret the purchase (and the waiting)!
The item looked fantastic! I couldn’t wait to use it. The box and packaging were fine. When I took the item out of this box and laid everything on my table, I noticed a tiny imperfection. A very small piece of plastic from the housing that surrounded the main lens of the front camera just flaked off. It looks like an error of manufacturing. The guy I spoke to at customer service was kind and patient. I had to send the product back to Amazon. Now I’m waiting for It to be received by Amazon and credited to my account so I can place another order again. No fun. I wish I had better news. Not quite yet. The rear camera looked fine!Update: I have installed my replacement cameras. The rear was tricky because I do have a retractable sun shade. I discoveredthat my car’s real window has a slight bubble arch to it that allows me to position the rear camera on the glass and not worry about it getting bumped by the automatic sliding rear sunshade. I had to trim the plastic mounting stickers so that they would not touch the heated glass elements on the rear window, but it looks and works just fine.When it comes to installing the front camera and the GPS mount, I can say because of my own mistake to just make sure that the camera slides and snaps *all the way* into the GPS mount. If you are off by a hair, the camera will not work right.I found out that when you play back videos, you are going to get 1 video from each camera direction. For example, if you have your camera set to record in 1 minute loops, then when you have 5 minutes of driving that you would like to review, the app playback will show you 10, 1-minute videos. The videos will appear in chronological order. They will be shown in alternate: first a front driving video and afterwards a rear driving video.I can live without the artificial intelligence features. They make me feel like I have a backseat driver in the car! You can turn this feature off if you’d like. It is redundant of features that I already have. I wantto try to maximize all of the fancy features of the camera so I kept the HDR switch to on. When my playback videos seemed too bright or too dark. I just went into the settings menu and modified the exposure level to make a dark image lighter and a light image darker.The nighttime photo and videos are very, very good.

Great true 4K 30fps. Pretty easy to install whether you use their hardwire or OBD2 adapter kits. I would have given VanTrue a 5-star review, but after using it for a while, the bugs and gimmicky features are better left turned off. The sounds are really annoying and the voice used for alerts is in broken English. Would have been great if they hired a voice actor from the country they were trying to market to. Also, the lane keep assist and ADAS functions are intermittent. I was following a motorcyclist the other day and it thought it was a pedestrian. The only other issue I have, which seems like a possible problem is the SD Card Error. I don’t think it is an issue, it just seems like the card is full. And, rather than automatically reformatting the card after it’s full or asking if you’d like to format the card, it just stops recording and shows the message “SD Card Error”. I would also like to see an Android Auto and Apple CarPlay app that works with the camera so you can see the camera on the radio screen and alerts.

Ho scelto questa dashcam perché cercavo qualità e sicurezza, e devo dire che non mi ha deluso. Registra in 4K con il sensore STARVIS 2, quindi anche di notte le targhe si vedono perfettamente. L’angolo da 155° copre bene tutta la strada e il GPS registra velocità e posizione in automatico.Molto utile il Wi-Fi 5G per scaricare i video sul telefono in pochi secondi e l’AI che riconosce le targhe. Con il modulo LTE opzionale si può controllare l’auto anche da lontano, una funzione che dà molta tranquillità. I comandi vocali rispondono bene e la modalità privacy è una chicca quando si hanno passeggeri.Con la memoria fino a 1TB diventa praticamente impossibile rimanere senza spazio. In sintesi, è una dashcam completa e affidabile, che trasmette sicurezza in ogni viaggio.
