Love this stuff
I love this stuff. This is now my third bottle that I’ve purchased. It does wonders on darker grains. They don’t even have to be super dark like the color of the bottle. Just any darker wood that is not like your untreated or light pine-colored woods… I will continue to use this product on my darker woods. It conditions and cleans beautifully, while also keeping the color fresh.Most people will probably want to use gloves when using this product, as it does stain the skin. However, it does seem to wash off pretty good (and quickly) even when it gets on your skin.I’m including photos of different vintage wood boxes and a vintage side table as an example of the different types of woods and colored woods that I use this product on. I trust this product with my vintage items. Also, I included a mirror I made as a kid over 30 years ago. These are examples that this product works with different woods and stains and not just “really dark wood.” It’s also evidence of how much I trust this product to use it on items that have great sentimental value to me.Yes, I absolutely recommend this product.

We had a Mahogony cupboard with lots of scratches which we didn’t want to sand back as that would require multiple lauers of stain and lacquer.Rubbing this product on all the scratches made a huge difference as it dyes the scratched timber darker so it becomes barely noticeable. I also used timber touchup pens (bought seperately) for any scratches that were still visible. The pens are effective but it is pretty obvious where they have been used as the finish/colour looks like a texta marker.The Old English scratches cover did most of the work though and looked a lot more natural. It took a full day to do this cupboard but the end result I’m thrilled with.I’ve used only a tiny amount of the bottle. It will last me many years!Definitely worth the money as it achieved the result we wanted.The dents and scratches are still there for this 100 year old cupboard, but they blend in now being a close colour to the rest of the cabinet.Buy it and be happy. 🙂
