Quiet as the bell never connected with the chimes
I replaced a ring with this. Honestly should have kept the ring. Going to try the other fiet camera so it can be used with the same app as the backyard and garage light cameras. I will not miss the return date if it doesn’t hook up and work the first time. Wanted less clutter so I tried this camera – never worked! Door bell didn’t chime (it rang outside) then double checked the wiring and the set screw broke. Not a happy customer at all.

There is not way to connect door bell and shine no matter how many times you try. It never worked.

Narrow video angle and no house chimes
I felt it was time to upgrade my old 6 year old ring. I noticed that it claims 2k resolution and though it would be nice to have a device with the same eco system as my other devices. As noted by another reviewer, it doesn’t ring my houses, built in chimes. Seems dumb to omit this feature. The included usb adapter is pretty cheap looking. I was able to hook it up and get it working. The video display was very narrow. You can’t see a person standing in front of my door. I used the included angle adapter and it didn’t help that much. Who thought it was a good idea to set the video vertically? Surprisingly this seems like a BIG step back from my 6 year old ring.
