Got it for my dog but my cat took it over. lol itâs pretty thin compared to others but he seams happy with it and lays on it after sunbathing.

Very thin and lacking the cotton layer
This does not have a cotton liner/cusion under the top two “reflective” ( poor quality and super thin) layers. This is disappointing because it is to be used in a cat condo on the deck during wintertime. Now I am searching for something to augment the lack of cushion inside. The nice thing about this bed is that the external case is removable for washing.

Nice and Cozy Self-Warming Cat Bed
This little pad is super soft and easy to clean, as it unzips for washing. Inside, there are two layers of foil designed to reflect body heat upward instead of letting it escape to the floor. The top layer is soft and plush, while the bottom has small dots to prevent slipping. Although it’s not very thick, my cat enjoys using it placed on the living room carpet, and I think it would work great in window seats or on chairs.I wouldnât rely solely on this for outdoor cats’ warmth, but if I used it for extra comfort and warmth in an outdoor house that is heated or has straw, Iâd have two of these to rotate for washing every few days.The small size is smaller than our petite cat, but she still enjoys it. For any of our average or large cats, I’d get the larger sized one.The price is excellent, and I can easily imagine placing these around the house to keep our kitties cozy and comfortable–especially in the cooler months.

Cat Approved – Although Some Aspects Do Not Measure Up
It took about two minutes and a little dried catnip to convince my cat that her new bed is pretty great.Hereâs what I like:- The bed is well made, The weak part could have been the construction and the zipper. The stitching is smooth and tight; I donât think it will fall apart. The zipper, hidden in an overlapping pocket, slides easily.- The plush microfiber top is really soft with fibers that are about 1/2 inch long – I would like to cuddle up in it,- The size works well for my cat – I have placed the bed on top of a narrow cupboard next to a window. My kitty thinks it is long enough for her to stretch out on and since it is wider than the wooden top, a bit of it hangs over the back.While she thinks it is just purr-fect, I do see a couple of downsides.- Inside the zippered bed cover are two thin mats; you are expected to remove these when laundering the outer shell.â Each is a very thin layer of synthetic batting covered on one side with an aluminum layer that is pressure glued to the batting. The top layer of aluminum is next to the top covering. I do believe that as my warm kitty rests on the bed, her body heat will reflect back from that top layer. However, I find it a little hard to believe that the aluminum on the second pad will have any real heating benefit. Instead, that second pad may offer a little more cushioning.- And that is the second downside – there really is not much cushioning in this bed. In looking at the images, there seems to be a substantial orange pad under the plush microfiber layerâ¦. nope – there is only the thin backing of the microfiber.Each aluminum/batting insert is only 1/8 inch thick and the bottom of the covering seems to be very thin nylon with plastic nubs that really donât keep it from slipping.- The depth of the bed is about 1 inch when vacant and only 1/2 inch when a cat is lying on it, compressing the layers.- I also worry that the plush microfibers may shed quite a lot when the cover is laundered, even on the gentle cycle.If it were just me, I would give this bed 3 starsâ¦. but my kitty LOVES it! She has tolerated my exploration of the parts of the bed without budging. She thinks it has made a favorite napping space better than ever before and, with winter coming, that counts for something, actually quite a lot. We have agreed to award 4 stars.

Sheds a lot, but seems decent since my cat already loves it. You might run it through the dryer or do something to help with the bed itself shedding so your pet doesn’t eat the fluffies
