Keeps the room cool!
I was looking for a fan that would really cool off my bedroom, as well as look sleek and not draw a lot of attention to it. Well this fan was perfect. I got it in white so it almost “blends” in to the ceiling and looks very light and airy. Best of all, it cools the room off very well. There are 4 settings, and we have used this fan some nights that we would otherwise have to have used the air conditioner. You can really feel it moving air. The fan is very quiet, but you sometimes hear the air moving (but not the fan motor). There is no remote, it comes with a wall switch.Great fan – looks good and keeps up cool!

Reasonable modern looking fan
Reasonably priced. Louder than anticipated on the higher settings, but no weird rattles. Think low hair dryer type of thing. Nothing crazy. Definitely pushes the air around and gets the job done. Love the wall mount for control so no one can lose the remote. Bought to match the 65â we have in our living room.

Loud motor even on low settings–Do not recommend for bedrooms
I purchased this fan on the recommendation of an interior designer and absolutely hate it. The all white fan disappears into a white ceiling but that is where its benefits stop. I had it installed about two weeks ago and right out of the box, the motor is extremely loud on all speed settings. At the lowest setting, there is a rhythmic noise (more than a hum–a hum can be background noise, this is not) and at each higher speed, the noise increases. It kind of sounds like the Darth Vader’s theme song from Star Wars. Even on the second setting it it so loud it sounds like the fan is going to fall off the ceiling. The top speed is unusable because of the noise. Do not recommend at all, especially for a bedroom fan if noises disrupt your sleep. My office is on my third floor directly above the bedroom and the noise is even louder and more disruptive from above. You get what you pay for and this fan is a piece of junk.

Great fan, even better product support
This review is for both the fan and support from Minka. The first fan I bought looked beautiful. It is smooth and subdued and looked great installed in a bedroom. I love the low speed as I sleep with a fan on year round. However after install I noticed a humming with the fan on all speeds. I called support, actually talked to a person and they immediately sent me a new switch and capacitor to try and fix free of charge. However even with new parts swapped in, the humming persisted. I called back, and they said it was likely a motor issue and to return for a new one. I did and had a new fan by the end of the week. Despite the frustrating ordeal I now have a beautiful quiet fan which I love. Will look to Minka again during my next room remodel. Great products and amazing support.

Good overall, but a few comments
Really good looking fan. Pretty things are nice… but..1. Says the color is white. Not white, pretty much very off white.2. Much louder than expected. Used a decibel meter and it is much louder than the one I replaced. Really loud at position 1 and 2. Acceptable at 3 and 4.3. Said it had a 3.5″ downrod. It was more like 6″. Did not have both 3.5 and 6 as claimed.4. Reverse switch is not easily accessible. Need to get on a ladder and lift the top canopy and find switch.5. Does not move as much air as was hoped.But it sure is good looking. So I’ll keep it. Sometimes its better to look good than to feel good.

went together very easy, silent, nice clean look. I’ll probably get another one for the bedroom it’s so quietUpdate 4 Apr 2018: finally got around to installing another one in my bedroom. Same good quality, silent except on highest speed, but the two slowest speeds are slower than the one I bought two years ago.The one that’s two years old is still going strong, runs constantly 9 months a year, silent and perfectly balanced out of the box. The new one is also perfectly balanced and, if you’ve never struggled to balance a wobbly ceiling fan, God bless you. If you get one of these, you never will

Most modern, clean, simple fan. minka aire roto comes in black, white and brushed chrome. It’s very easy to install and very tight to the ceiling (9 inches from ceiking to lowest point, base), even though it’s not a flush mount. Hunter offers a low profile mount no light that’s 11 inch, 9 from minka is even better! Photos are from a 8 foot master bedroom over bed. Ideal for bedrooms, or alternatively purchase the extended downrod for taller and vaulted ceilings. There’s a not included light kit as well, so the expandability is awesome!We have been browsing the Internet for over 2 years before we found this incredible option. In the world of ceiling fans there’s no shortage dated and unattractive options. Between minka aire and Hiaku you’re all set. We paired ours with a ge zwave wall switch for added smart functionalities. We bought 4 of these for every upstairs room. Amazing super simple and sleek.

Terrible seller, terrible fan, had an issue with the fan and was told to contact the manufacturer for support. When I contacted the manufacturer I was told to contact the seller for a replacement. The seller refused to offer and support and now I’m left with a broken fan three months after purchasing it. Stay away.
