Simple, lightweight and a perfect fit for my Quest 3.
I’m reviewing this item for use with the Meta Quest 3 headset. It includes components for other headsets as indicated in the product description. I was not able to test these as I don’t have these other headsets.I’ve been through quite a few of these and have yet to find one that does everything I’m looking for.I started looking for headsets witoh extended battery packs. There are quite a few of these available that essentially charge the headset while you’re playing it. I just found these really clunky and heavy. Anything that involved side to side head, motion or tilting your head back were felt clunky and awkward.I gave up on the extended battery pack concept and started to look for something lighter. Of course the elastic straps that come with the headset are lighter but I found they they weren’t as secure as I would like. The last one I tried was similar to the headset I’m reviewing but had a cavity wear. An extended battery could be placed. It was considerably lighter and less clunky but I found it heavy and awkward even without the battery. This headset has no battery. It is simply a cradle for the back of your head, the usual side straps that snap into the Quest 3 in my case (there are components to use with other variants of the headset). There is no cavity within which to put an extended battery. Some assembly is required. It comes with a screwdriver and side plates to match the different headsets. It took me perhaps 2 minutes to screw the parts for the Quest 3 into place. Just go slow, take your time and don’t over tighten the screws and strip the threads. Pretty straightforward.Beside pieces snapped perfectly in place onto the sides of my headset. Often, the upper strap is difficult to feed through the loop on the front of the headset to get it adjusted for a comfortable fit. That wasn’t the case here. The velcro strip that feeds through the top of the headset is quite thin and flexible and easily bends around the post and becomes available for you to grab and pull the rest of the velcro through.Overall, this is an extremely comfortable head strap. Just be sure to seat the cradle far enough of the back of your head and then adjust the head strap until things feel stable. It’s on the light end of the spectrum, especially relative to the extended battery pack variant I tried. So far this one is a keeper and I can find no problems with it. That would warrant deducting a star. If you’re looking for a nice lightweight headset without all the complexities of an extra battery. I would say this one is a great choice, especially at the price it’s offered.

A Comfort-Focused Upgrade with Smart Features!
As a Vine reviewer and VR enthusiast who’s logged hours in Meta Quest headsets, I was excited to test the DXKK Head Strap for Meta Quest 3/Quest 3S/Quest 2, Enhanced Comfort Head Strap with Soft Padding, Quick-Switch Reality Design, Adjustment Dial (No Battery). Priced at $23.99 as of this writing, this strap promises improved ergonomics with dual adjustment dials, memory foam padding, and a flip-up design for easy headset removal—without the added bulk of a battery pack. It’s a solid choice for extended sessions, offering better weight distribution than the stock strap, though the lack of battery extension limits its appeal for marathon users.Setup and Installation:The DXKK strap arrived in a compact, protective box with the strap, adjustment dials, and a quick-start guide. Swapping it onto my Quest 3 took about 5 minutes: unsnap the stock strap from the headset arms, attach the DXKK side arms (they click securely with an audible snap), thread the top strap through the front bracket, and reinsert the facial interface. The dual dials—one on top and one on the back—allow micro-adjustments for a custom fit, and the flip-up design lets you lift the headset like a visor for quick breaks. It’s compatible with Quest 3, 3S, and 2 models, but double-check your headset’s arm spacing for a seamless snap. The padding is pre-installed, so no assembly hassles, and it’s lightweight (about 4-5 oz) for easy handling.Performance and Features:This strap excels at comfort during long VR dives. The memory foam padding on the top and back distributes weight evenly, reducing pressure on my face and temples—after 2 hours of Beat Saber, I felt less strain than with the stock strap. The flip-up mechanism is a game-changer for “quick-switch reality,” letting me pause for water or adjustments without full removal, and the reinforced dials hold tension securely without slipping. It’s optimized for active use, staying stable during head movements in games like Superhot or workouts in Supernatural. The airflow-optimized design kept me cooler than enclosed straps, and the soft, breathable materials prevented sweat buildup. For Quest 2 users, it adds similar upgrades without compatibility issues. However, without a battery, it doesn’t extend playtime (stick to 2-3 hour sessions), and the dials can feel a bit plasticky compared to premium options like Meta’s Elite Strap.Build Quality and Versatility:Constructed from reinforced plastic and soft memory foam, the DXKK strap feels sturdy yet flexible, with no creaks or wobbles during intense play. The black fabric accents and adjustable fit suit various head shapes, and it’s lightweight enough for all-day wear if needed. Versatility is strong—great for gaming, fitness, or mixed reality on Quest 3/3S/2—and the no-battery design keeps it slim for travel (fits in the official case). It’s not as padded as halo-style straps for ultra-long sessions, but for most users, it’s a noticeable improvement over stock.Pros:- Dual adjustment dials for a precise, secure fit on Quest 3/3S/2- Flip-up design for easy headset breaks without full removal- Memory foam padding reduces face pressure for 2+ hour comfort- Lightweight and airflow-optimized to stay cool during active VR- Affordable at $30-$40, easy 5-minute install with no toolsCons:- No battery pack, so no extended playtime (2-3 hours max per charge)- Dials feel slightly plasticky; not as premium as official Meta strapsMy Take:The DXKK Head Strap is a smart, comfort-boosting upgrade for Meta Quest users who want better ergonomics without the bulk or cost of battery models. Its flip-up feature and padding make sessions more enjoyable, especially for fitness or gaming marathons, and the Quest 3/3S/2 compatibility is seamless. If you don’t need extra battery life, this is a fantastic value pick that transforms the stock experience. I’ve ditched my original strap for good—highly recommend for VR fans prioritizing fit and ease!Disclaimer: I received this product as part of the Vine program, but my opinions are honest and based on real-world testing.

Comfortable and easy to put on and remove
My son has a Meta Quest 2 that he uses for gaming and watching shows. He’s complained in the past about the strap. Let’s face it, the standard strap that comes with the Meta Quest is not the most comfortable and could use some improvement.I recently had an eye exam, and the optometrist uses a Meta Quest to adminster one of the exams. The strap that his office uses was much more practical and made donning and remove it very easy. So imagine my surprise when I came across that same strap while browsing Amazon. I knew my son would like it, so I placed the order. The strap comes with all the parts and tools necessary to install it on either the Meta Quest 2, or the newer Meta Quest 3 and 3S. Installation was a breeze. I followed the instructions and had the new strap installed within 5 minutes. Then I gave it a test spin. I was impressed with the comfort while wearing and with the ease of putting it on and removing it. I looked at similar straps on Amazon and found this one to be competitively priced. All in all, it is a high quality strap that makes using the Meta Quest easier and more comfortable.Pros – Well made. Comfortable. Ease of installation. Competitively priced.Cons – None.
