AWESOME WITCHES!
These witches will be a fantastic addition to our daughter’s outdoor Halloween decor. The 3 witches look just like in the photos on the Amazon page. They are attached to each other by the sleeves of their dresses, like they are holding hands, and within the dress fabric, there is a wire that cannot be seen. The dress material is layered and thick enough to withstand weather. The dresses will sway with the wind. There are bendable rods at the shoulders of each witch so that you can shape them.The battery pack rests in a “pocket” that is sewn to the middle witch’s dress. However, in the description it states to keep the battery pack dry in the zip lock bag provided – but I do not see a zip lock bag. The battery pack also has the sensor to turn the witches on and has a button that when pressed, changes the mode of the sounds and color of the heads. So awesome!!!! Volume is also loud enough to be heard outdoors. The sounds and music in each mode are so perfect for Halloween.Each witch has a two piece metal pole that attaches to the bottom of the head, underneath the dress, so it can’t be seen. The rods then attach to a sturdy metal ground stake. The ground stakes are really heavy duty and long enough to secure into the ground. The witches can be in a straight row, circular, set any way because they are only attached by the fabric sleeves of their dresses. Great design.Although we didn’t set these up outside yet (because it is August), we assembled and played with the set indoors. Assembly is easy, no problem, and I have no doubt that the sturdy design of the poles and ground stakes are appropriate. When I see these motion-activated Halloween outdoor decorations at the store, they are so expensive. This set of 3 witches are about 5 ft tall, versatile with shape and have great sound. For the price, this is a great addition to Halloween.

Spooky fun!
Halloween is the holiday I’m most excited to decorate for, and I prefer decor that is softly spooky rather than gory. Every year I endeavor to add a new outdoor element and I typically construct them myself. The very first year I tried my hand at a spooky scene it was of witches holding hands around a large cauldron I made and it is so cool that I have done it every year since. However, now that I am the one person set designer and constructor for a growing number of displays I jumped at the chance to acquire this product to save myself some time as the witches I make are made of complicated armatures I have to reassemble every year. First for the positives, I was happy to see that although simple in nature , these are well constructed to serve their purpose. The light up faces alternate in color and there is optional sound effects that emit from a speaker at decently loud volume that if this scene is placed near a door or path it can be heard by passing trick or treaters. The sounds are good in an eerie way, creaking, distant screams that sort of thing. The witches are fully dressed and assembled and simply insert onto the rods and stakes that are simple to put together and require no tools. The fabric on the dresses is my favorite part because they are layers of solid and gauzy black material which will help them to look fuller and float around them in the breeze. Over all I will say this is definitely a more cost effective way to achieve this look, I spent much more assembling the parts and materials to construct my handmade versions. The one big flaw I feel is the scale of these witches which is a little odd given they are an adequate human height. The heads hats and body size is small, less than childlike. In the photo I included of the head of a witch I threw on my reading glasses for scale not knowing what other universal item I could picture to show the scale well. I measure the circumference of the head at 15″ . I think that this will probably look ok under most circumstances, at a distance certainly like on a balcony. Up close I think they look a little confusing, like tall dolls? They’ll do their best work in the dark I suspect, which is after all how things of this type are best appreciated. One other small concern/wish is that the stake prongs went one step further with a third tine for extra security. Over all I think this is a great buy for the price which at the time of this writing is under $60.

These witches are such a fun addition to my Halloween setup. Theyâre tall, creepy, and the glowing heads that change colors look awesome at night. I love that theyâre holding hands, it makes them stand out compared to other decorations Iâve had. The sound effects are extra spooky, and the sensor actually works really well, picking up movement from a good distance so theyâll definitely give trick or treaters a scare.Assembly was pretty simple, and I was impressed with how sturdy the stakes are. They stayed upright even when we had some wind, which isnât always the case with other decorations Iâve tried. I also like that they gave a bag to protect the battery box, such a small detail but really thoughtful since itâs not waterproof.One thing to know: only the middle witch has the controller, and they all need to stay connected to work properly, so donât separate them. Also, make sure the little plugs between the arms are secure if one of the heads isnât lighting up, itâs usually just a loose connection.Overall, these witches look fantastic in the yard and are definitely worth it if you want something spooky that draws attention and adds atmosphere.

Missing piece
I love the sound effects! This had the potential to be really great, but unfortunately itâs poorly made. The materials are too thin and flimsy, and one of the poles for assembling the witches was the wrong piece, which is why the middle witch ended up shorter. Overall, itâs not terrible, but definitely not great. I considered cheaper options but chose this one thinking it would be better, so Iâm a bit disappointed. I did add the black capes myself to give it a fuller look.
