Product in packaging may not be the same as photo due to continuous improvements to the product. This clipper runs off of a 120v outlet. If your hair clipper has a power screw, it has been adjusted for peak efficiency before leaving the factory. However, if voltage in your home is low, you may need to re adjust it. To adjust power screw, use the plastic brush, a screwdriver or a thin coin to turn power screw in a clockwise direction until the arm strikes the coil, making a noise. Then, slowly turn power screw out (counterclockwise), just until noise stops. This is the maximum power setting. Note: We test our Wahl hair clippers for men for cutting performance prior to packaging with a hygienic fiber. We do our best to clean the product to remove any testing particles, but it is possible a few may remain. They are not hair and can be simply wiped off.

This would be my first purchase of a hair-cutting “system” / hardware so please take a note that my “experience” in this area is very limited. Having said that however, I will continue on with the review. Packaging of the product (excluding the shipping box/padding) was pretty basic (a simple cardboard sleeve would be a way to describe it) however considering that everything that is included is inside a hard-plastic carrying/protective storage case it is sufficient. The product is neatly packaged inside the storage case with the attachments being in a separate compartment inside a plastic bag. The cape itself was put across the clippers and the attachments bag. Made out of plastic the cape leaves some things to be desired however it is sufficient for in-home use. The clippers are pretty heavy and feel sturdy enough so that they do not seem cheaply built. The set includes the clippers, 3 different combs, scissors, neck duster (ouch, the bristles are man-made and not on the soft side), cape, 2 hair clips, cleaning brush (small but effective), blade oil, 13 guide combs, left and right ear tapers, ear trim guide, eyebrow trim guide and written instructions/styling guide (leaves things to be desired as it is very short). Upon turning the clippers on they weren’t super loud but are somewhat on the loud side although I’ve heard louder clippers at barber’s places. Since I’ve never held clippers myself before I can not comment on the vibrations however it is very noticeable but in no way unpleasant. The clippers cut my (thick) hair easily without clogging up or getting stuck which was a pleasant surprise. I have not played around with the power setting screw yet however I might attempt to do so at some point in time even though the power has been set at the factory and should be at the optimum setting already. Some of the guide combs have been difficult to put onto the clippers (compared to others that were supplied) however I would imagine that every set is different so you might not notice this. I was not aware of any major heating up of the cutting head during use. The cleanup was a breeze since I have decided not to take the cutting head off and clean underneath it after the first use. I’ll give it a couple of cuts before attempting to do so as I am somewhat reluctant to attempt it due to possibility of having to re-align the blades after cleaning which, to me seems somewhat tedious. All in all no complaints so far, I can not comment on the life expectancy of the product but as I’ve noted before it seems to be sturdy enough which gives me a hope that it might last for a while.Update (February 5th 2014): Just a quick update, the device still works after being used more than a few times since the purchase. It has more than paid for itself by now. No issues whatsoever, it’s still as new even though I’ve used it every month or so. No broken parts no loose screws no dull blades, nothing. Cuts and works perfectly and as such I can safely say that the lifetime of the item is more than admirable.Update (January 15th 2017): Just went over my reviews and felt like making a quick and final update on this item. As of this moment the items is completely and utterly… AWESOME. Still works flawlessly and I’ve still had no (I mean literally NO) issues with it. Still works as well as it did when I first used it a few years ago. I’m confident that it will outlive me. If it’s still available and you need some good hair clipper(s) you can not go wrong with this item. For all it’s faults the good outweigh everything time and time over.

I’m impressed with the quality of this set. Wahl has always been a great brand, but these are a lot sturdier than I thought they would be. This kit comes with everything! and the storage case is made well too. I’d recommend this set to everyone.

I bought this clipper set to cut my sonâs hair at home, and overall, it gets the job done. If you’re not cutting hair every week, this is a solid option.Pros:Color-coded guards make it easy to remember which length to use. No more tiny numbers to read.Sharp blades and decent motor for light to medium trimming.Easy to use and clean, especially for beginners or occasional users.Cons:The clippers and guards feel lightweight and plasticky. They havenât broken on me, but I wouldnât toss them in a toolbox.Doesnât have a study feelâ home-use gadget than an impressive tool.all the accessories are very cheap and mostly not worth usingBottom line: Itâs a good budget option for quick trims and simple cuts. If youâre just trying to avoid a trip to the barber and keep things neat, itâll work fine. But if youâre expecting salon quality or durability, you might want to spend a little more.

It’s 110 Volts trimmer and not suitable for India. Despite using it with 110v to 220v Converter, its motor gone in the first use itself. No way to return and the Servicing centre don’t accept it as it’s not an Indian product.Total waste of money.
