A Solid Companion for My C420 Camera
The Tapo A200 solar panel offers a convenient and generally reliable solution for keeping your wireless camera (used on my C420 ) powered without the hassle of frequent battery swaps. I’ve found it straightforward to mount and adjust the panel, without playing too much with perfect angle for sun coverage.While the claim of needing only “30 minutes of standard sunlight a day” might be optimistic for all environments and usage levels, this panel generally provides sufficient power to significantly reduce or eliminate manual charging for the C420 camera. However, it’s worth noting that, like most solar charging solutions, performance can diminish in prolonged periods of very low light or freezing temperatures, where battery charging efficiency may decrease.Overall, if you’re looking for a set-and-forget power solution for your Tapo C420 camera, the A200 solar panel is a worthwhile investment that delivers on its core promises of convenience and continuous power, provided it receives adequate sunlight.

Quality Solar Panels
I am impressed with the quality of these solar panels.  I’m used to the lame hard-plastic solar panels that work great for a few months and then start fading out.  These ones seem very well-built and to work very well.  They are solid and the rubber (or silicone) covering the solar panel is working much better than the common (cheap plastic) solar panels I have purchased over the years.I am not an expert (and have only owned this for a year), but it seems to be the best-made small solar panel that I have ever purchased… and it works well.  Well enough, that I just ordered two more Tapo solar panels and cameras to replace my Google/Nest (wireless but non-solar) camera.These work very well and I will update this post if that changes.I am just adding a photo of my my second (and most recent purchase)… TO SHOW the size difference between the single Tapo solar panel and the smaller all inclusive kit. I haven’t tried the kit yet, but the C425 with the large solar panel works great and stays fully charged… and I expect the same from this smaller panel/kit that I also purchased.I believe one great advantage in buying the Tapo kit is that it comes with a Tapo C425 camera. That is the same one I have owned and used, and it works great! I believe these previous “kits” came with lesser cameras like a C320 or something. So, I was glad to receive another C425 camera.So basically, the smaller kit comes with a smaller solar panel, but I think it will still supply enough power for the C425 to never need to be charged manually. This smaller kit is NOT the bundled offer of the C425 with the larger solar panel… it’s the one that shows the the camera and small panel connected… one you could install as one unit in one location.The bundled C425 and larger solar panel are two completely separate boxes (but sold as a bundle, and are designed so you can have the solar panel in one location (aimed at the sun), and a wire that runs to the camera at another location.The kit does allow you to separate (and mount) the solar panel away from the camera, and comes with extra wiring if you choose to so that.I will also be posting this review under the combined kit (and possibly the C425 camera).I will update this in the future with any new details, after I have installed and tried out this all-inclusive kit.

Camera battery always at 100% charge
Got this solar panel as part of a bundle. The camera charged by this panel gives me warnings that it is waking up too often and the battery will run down quickly but the battery charge is always shown as 100% charged. The solar panel charger is doing its job and keeping the battery charged. I let the battery run down to about 90% and then hooked up the panel and it was back at 100% within a day.

Good for the money.
My camera stays charged. Does the job well.

Sin duda un panel de gran calidad y buenos materiales, los tengo conectados a mis camaras C420 y las mantiene cargadas aun con poco sol, esperemos duren mucho tiempo, por lo mientras cumple con su proposito de eficacia.

So far works very well. Keeps my camera charged to a 100% even with little sunlight.
