Panasonic designs ventilation ceiling exhaust fans that not only produce maximum airflow but also remove air impurities while operating at whisper-quiet audio levels. Panasonic FV-0510VS1 WhisperValue DC bathroom fan is the perfect multifamily solution; also ideal for single-family and manufactured homes. The revolutionary ECM motor with intelligent self-adjusting SmartFlow technology senses the amount of resistance in the duct run and automatically adjusts the fan speed to deliver the optimal CFM output, even in the case of a complicated duct run. The built-in Pick-A-Flow airflow selector provides the unique ability to select your required airflow (50-80-100 CFM) with the simple flip of a switch. The extremely thin profile of the WhisperValue DC fan opens up options for where you can install the fan, which is UL listed for ceiling or wall mount. Panasonic fans use less energy to move larger volumes of air than other brands. Consequently, Panasonic fans run cooler so they last longer because they are less likely to overheat and result in motor failure. The unique L-shaped bracket simplifies installation and provides strong support. The L bracket is interchangeable to be positioned to either the left or right side stud for optimal fan placement. Panasonic ventilation fans are ENERGY STAR certified and provide better efficiency and comfort with less noise. The fans feature high-performance motors and an improved blade design, providing better performance and longer life. Achieve quality air and energy efficiency with whisper-quiet sound levels for your spaces with Panasonic FV-0510VS1 WhisperValue DC Fan.

Quiet powerful and easy to install
This fan is impressively quiet while still moving a lot of air. It makes a huge difference in clearing steam from the bathroom after showers without being loud or distracting. The slim design made installation straightforward and it fits perfectly even in a smaller space. Build quality feels solid and it runs smoothly without rattling. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient and nearly silent bathroom fan.

Requires attic access
This is a great fan and moves air very well with less noise than common fans that have a name starting with “B”. A UL Listed fan was an absolute requirement. Lots of low profile fans on the market that do not have a safety certification. However, Panasonic is missing out on ceiling-side installation as a replacement fan. I was able to remove the fan and the section that holds the duct/electrical junction box from the housing. It would have been possible to reconnect the duct/electrical section once the housing was inserted from the ceiling side…..but the attachment point was misaligned by the thickness of the drywall, so I had to install from the attic side anyway. If the housing was 5/8″ higher to offset the drywall thickness, the unit would still fit a 3-1/2″ low profile space, but would be installed through the ceiling side rather than on the attic side. One review states they were able to install from the ceiling side, but the version I received would not work this way. Also, it would be better to provide a way to secure the fan housing from inside the room rather than the attic. The support arm provided is a challenge to install in tight spaces in an attic. I realize this would require retooling at the factory, but I would have selected a UL Listed low-profile fan that installed on the ceiling side over any others – if it was available. This one works nicely, but could be easier to install with some design changes.

Quiet
Quiet. Can’t hardly tell it is on when you first flip the switch. Takes several seconds before it starts making any noise at all. Power selection switch makes it good for three ranges of room sizes.

Works well, looks good.
I bought this to replace a Braun NuTone that had been installed 15 years ago when we remodeled the bathroom. Generally, this makes removing the unit a real chore as your ceiling sheetrock covers the screws that hold it to the joists. I was able to guess where the screws were and simply drilled out a hole to reveal the screw heads. Yes, I damaged some of the sheetrock removing the old unit, but there’s a company that makes custom escutcheons (1800ceiling.com) so I was able to conceal the damage. Unit works well, was easy to install, and has a nice low profile.

Quiet but powerful
As the name implies this fan is relatively quiet. It does take getting use to the fact when you flip the switch it does nothing for longer than you are used to. I had it professionally installed and the workers seemed to like it too. This replaced a fan/nightlight that ran on WI-FI I had it connected the conventional way. I would recommend this fan.

A Quiet and Efficient Choice
The Panasonic FV-0510VS1 is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a quiet and energy-efficient bathroom ventilation fan. Its WhisperValue technology ensures minimal noise, making it perfect for bathrooms located near bedrooms or other quiet areas. The low-profile design allows for easy installation in standard 2×4 ceilings, although I recommend using a 4-inch vent hose for optimal performance. The fan’s Energy Star certification guarantees efficient operation, helping to reduce energy consumption and lower utility bills. Overall, the Panasonic FV-0510VS1 is a reliable and high-quality ventilation fan that provides both quiet performance and energy savings.

Easy to install.DC motor. 3 speeds selectable: 50 cfm silent, 80 cfm semi-silent, 100 cfm noticeable sound of whooshing air but very localized to fan area ( motor is silent, whooshing air makes noise). Yes as per instructions it takes a few (5) seconds for fan to turn on after flipping switch. We run it to vent basement at 100cfm and it even pulls air from first floor down our staircase. In conjunction with a dehumidifier and this fan, our basement is more comfortable as the dehumidifier pulls cool damp air from floor level and blows warm air (from heat-exchanger and fan motor) upwards and this exhaust fan takes it outside. We have replaced all builder installed fans with similar DC motor ones within this price range. Would buy this for bath fan replace so it can be run at full speed to remove heat in house during summer and at a low speed in winter.CON: exhaust pipe is oval and adapter not available in Canada: work around: use 4 inch aluminium elbow: tape seams of elbow with metal tape (or else joints will come apart) and then gently squeeze one end until it matches oval shape, insert and tape together to fan.

Excellent product. I have bought 5 of these in the past few years and they are all great, quiet and well built. I highly recommend them.

Due to the nature of my ceilings in my bathroom, a ceiling mounted vent fan was not an option. So I planned on wall mounting a ceiling fan but couldn’t find anything that would fit in a 4″ wall cavity. My friend who owns a contracting company told me about this fan and how it has a smaller profile. I have to say it fit perfectly with no hassle at all.The availability to select 50, 80, or 100 CFMs is a great feature given that there aren’t many low profile vent fans out there. The noise levels at 50 and 80 are very quiet. However, at 100 as you can imagine it gets a little louder. My wife and I actually decided to set it to 100 CFM because 50 and 80 were too quiet. The noise of the fan offers some… “privacy” when using the bathroom. Thankfully, to change the CFM is extremely easy, simply remove the cover and flick a switch. The general install was straightforward, particularly if you are handy. A few screws secure it to the stud, wiring is as basic as it gets, and the cover leaves lots of room for error when drywalling around it.My only slight concern would be the shape of the duct. I used zip-ties along with aluminum duct tape as you have to bend the ducting to fit the low profile oval shape. I understand that this feature must exist to fit the 4″ space, so I can’t complain too much.Overall, if you require a vent fan that can be used in tight spaces, this is a great option.

The 70 sq.ft. bathroom in our house had a 70 CFM Broan installed which was quite loud, but more worrying was the amount of moisture on the ceiling and running down the walls after a shower. Bought this one based on the reviews and the selectable CFMâs. It installed fairly easy since it all comes apart, just had to cut a bigger hole attach the duct and wiring, snap it back together and screw it to the joist with some extra wood support I installed for rigidity. I set it at 80 CFM and its much quieter than the previous fan which was 4 sones. More importantly there is no more moisture collecting on the ceiling and walls!

Nearly silent, as expected. There is some seconds lag between the switch is turned on and the perceived start of the blades rotation, the baldes start actually rotating about 2 seconds after the switch turns is turned on, from there the speed ramps up to the selected speed in about 4 seconds. By the time I am actually ready to start doing whatever ânumberâ I came into the washroom for the fan is at full speed.
