I’ve been using this compost bin for a while now, and let me tell you, it’s made composting a whole lot easier and kinda stylish.First off, it’s just the right size for my kitchen â 3.3 liters, so it holds a bunch of food scraps without hogging up too much counter space. Perfect for my needs.
I have a large stainless steel compost bucket under my sink. I wanted a second one for stuff I can feed my chickens. This is perfect. Each day I put cucumber ends, carrot peels, tomato leftovers, celery ends, etc, in it and the next morning lift the interior piece out by its handle and walk with it to feed the chickens. Then an easy wash and wipe and itâs back in the outer shell with the lid on so I can fill it again. Filter keeps odors in the bucket and is easy to wash if it gets dirty. I got the stainless steel option to match my appliances. Good smaller size for the counter and cute. I would buy again.

Great countertop compost bin and excellent customer service
I purchased the Chef’n EcoCrock Countertop Compost Bin in steel grey which is thoughtfully designed with an inner liner bucker, a filter, and a functional handle on the lid. It is attractive on the kitchen counter. The inner liner has a handle which makes taking the compostables to the bigger outdoor bin easy. However, I accidentally hit the bottom of the liner against the bigger bin when emptying the contents and the liner cracked. I emailed Chef’n Customer Service who responded the next day and sent out a replacement unit after I verified my purchase. The replacement arrived within days. It is one of the best customer service experiences ever. They really stand behind their products. I am a happy customer!

Looks nice, small footprint, no smell.
Our city just started pick up compost in our yard waste totter. It looks great on my counter. Takes up a small space. No fruit flies and no bad odor. We empty it every 2-3 days. We love it! The only issue – the box it came in said it had two filters, but it only came with one.

Washable Liner!
I never liked my compost pail because it was hard to keep clean. This one has a removable 100% washable pail/liner. Itâs terrific

Really nice improvement in kitchen
I was using a waste bowl and every night taking it out to the recycle bin. It would get stinky if I forgot. This is really nice though. Quality made, with an Oval shaped charcoal in the lid. The bucket has a handle and is easy to rinse out. The little tree leaves on top are cute. Top fits well. New charcoal pads will need to be cut to oval shape to match the lid. You canât buy replacements precut that way as far as I know.

Have had two other countertop compost bins, but this is by far the best. Small footprint, but large capacity. Lid is easy on and off and the liner is very easy to clean. Plus it is good looking. A winner!

Very nice set. I will raise it to a 5, if in summer warmth we don’t have issue as I’d prefer a locking lid, but otherwise, so far it is perfect with what this house needs for a counter top bin. Suites our decor and most important, the need for composting!! Has fallen once and I was impressed that although it has the tiniest of dings (it bounced a round on hard floor, I thought further dents would mar) but it handled the bounce and did not crack!Summer UPDATE: Unfortunately we get a considerable amount of fruit flies due this bin does not have a locking lid, but it is GREAT otherwise… cleans easily, no rust and keeps smells away. I will keep it at a 4 star.

Been using this countertop compost bucket for a few months. No issues with smells or bugs. Good size and looks good on the counter. Found the price a bit high, but am glad I purchased. The removable inner bucket with a lid and handle make it easy to clean and dispose of kitchen waste.
