Looks Good, but Installation is a Pain
The fan looks good and functions quietly. Installation was terrible. If you’re not handy, or have a handy person to install it, then don’t get this fan. My husband installed a different ceiling fan in another room in under 30 minutes by himself. This fan took hours and over the course of a couple days to take a break from the frustration and resist the urge to smash it with a hammer. After finally getting it installed and working, the part with the light is still angled. Also there is a round donut shaped piece that covers the bottom of the part that is attached to the ceiling. We have both spent a lot of time trying to match up both screws to twist in place, but failed. I stuck it up there with double sided tape, but it still looks wonky with a big gap.

It functions as a ceiling fan but holy crap is it annoying.
Performance is nice. It spins and has a light. What else could you ask for?Now why it kinda sucks.EVERY time you press the remote, it beeps like a a keypad to get into a top secret facility in a James Bond movie. So thatâs annoying.The motor sounds like Godzilla charging up his atomic breath. Donât know whatâs up with that, but itâs not super relaxing to just hear a constant âfuWHUM fuWHUM fuWHUM.âThe actual blades are quiet. It doesnât sound like a box fan so thatâs nice. But theyâre also made of the same foam board stuff I put my 3rd grade science project on apparently so thatâs a thing too.Installing it was like a 3/10 experience. Iâve only installed one other ceiling fan before this, and this one takes the cake for being the most annoying to install. First things first, but the transponder box IN the mounting bracket. Itâs snug, but thatâs where it goes, and otherwise it wonât fit into the down rod housing area.There were several instances of âhey you have to loosen two out of three screws and completely remove the third one and then put a piece in and then tighten the 2 screws and then put in the 3rd screw.â Which is bad enough by itself, but it doesnât help that the instructions were like playing Pictionary. There are no words except for on the wiring diagram (thank god) and it doesnât tell you what screws are for what, so you just have to make your best guess. Then at the end, it just tells you to slap the light housing on, which isnât the right way to do it. Maybe when I have time, Iâll write out the directions so they make a little sense.Overall, works good, but was such a pain to install I have to take some stars off.

This is the second one of this fan I have ordered..My husband dud the install, which went great. He did not install the remote however, because we wanted to just use our existing switches. Love the look of it, and very quiet.

Install isnt so bad
Thereâs a review here thatâs spot on about wiring the remote box to the house wiring before the fan itself. I found it fairly simple to fully do that before you put the âslotâ of the fan in at all. This will give you the opportunity to figure out how to finagle the wires out of the way of the fan âslot.â Once the remote box is all wired, you will have enough slack in the wires to slide it out a bit to fit the âslotâ into the bracket
