Durable
This bag made it through a long and cold NYC winter. I opened it today, about a year after beginning my compost and the contents were a rich and dark soil. I added worms and garden snails/slugs to it last Summer and am pleased with this bagâs durability and outcome.

Flimsy
I’ve only had it a month, and the zipper part is already tearing. But it was cheap, and I guess you get what you pay for. I won’t buy another, though.

Fair
It’s ok for the price but the bands they give you to hold it up are cheap. They don’t hold their form and made of cheap plastic. Otherwise works fine.

Lots of room
I liked the size and price. The co vernier glad for a quick dump of produce scraps is handy. It needs a place with some stability, but that seems a little obvious to cost points. Thumbs up!!

No
It doesnât stay up! Zippers always getting stuck. Better off just buying a big garbage can putting holes in it⦠way better. Over all happy I tried it so you didnât lol

They’re great yard scrapes and leaves be careful of thick twigs.
I love how huge they are. Great for yard scrapes after cleaning up like leaves small twigs, dirt. Make sure you place where you want can rip easily by sharp objects or pulling. So far it works, you fill it up, zip it and let scrapes decompose.

Great for First-Time Composters⦠But Maybe Not a Long-Term Solution
As a first-time gardener and wannabe composting queen, I knew I wanted to try compostingâbut also knew I needed to keep it critter-proof. I live in Florida where the backyard nightlife includes possums, raccoons, armadillos, and the occasional bold mouse. So an open pile? Yeah, no thanks.I donât have a lot of space, and my car is a tiny two-door sports car that laughs in the face of things like wood, pallets, or anything remotely DIY-friendly. So I went with this compost bagâbecause hey, it zips shut and promised to keep the varmints out.Iâve been using it for a little over a month now, and itâs been solid so far. I like the zipper on topâit lets me seal everything up. Thereâs also a flap near the bottom for pulling out finished compost, though I havenât gotten to that stage yet. Itâs not fancy, but it works for cold composting. Iâve been loading it up with leaves, plant clippings, and food scraps. No surprise: the worms and black soldier fly larvae found their way in and are happily munching away.Thereâs no built-in drainage though, and since the bag is made of solid polypropylene, moisture doesnât escape. I used a soldering iron to melt a few holes in the bottom so water wouldnât pool inside. That helped a lot.One minor adventure: I tossed in some onion scraps one night, thinking âanimals donât like onions, right?â Apparently not true, because something tried to claw its way into the bag and tore a hole in the top. I patched it with canned spray foam, and no oneâs visited since. Still, worth noting that a zipper alone wonât stop determined critters. As the bag fills up, Iâve started rolling it on its side to help mix things around (aka compost yoga). Itâs weirdly satisfying and a pretty good upper body workout. But heads up: the handles are not strong. They look like they might snap if you try to move the bag when it’s full, so I just leave it in place and roll it gently.Final Verdict: 3 stars.Itâs a great, low-cost way to get into composting without tools or space. But long-term? The weak handles and non-compostable material feel a bit contradictory to the whole “save the planet” vibe. If this one breaks, Iâll upgrade to something reusable or more sustainable. But for beginners? Not a bad first step.
