fun kit
The instructions were a little silly because they had been translated but otherwise the kit is fine. The laces are exactly what I expected from back in the 90s when I had made friendship bracelets and bead lizards as a kid. The bracelet designs in the instructions are all good, with some easy braids and some more complicated ones. There is plenty of material. The laces are the right thickness and they arenât too stretchy. Itâs a fun activity and it was nice to revisit. And then you, or the kids, or whoever, get something decent. Not all craft kits produce something you would want to keep. This would also be a good kit for a child who needs to work on their motor skills a little, but I think you would want to have somewhere or something to tie the bracelet while itâs being made. Like a carabiner or a keychain attached to a pole or post.

This is an absolutely wonderful crafting set! It includes everything one could need to make all sorts of projects! It even includes a tape measure and scissors!The included directions pamphlet illustrates how to do many different stitches with this cording. The directions are clear and easy to follow with clear step by step diagrams for each stitch.A long long long time ago, in childhood, making bracelets and keychains out of this stuff was a usual summer camp activity. Back then however, this type of cording was nowheres near as pretty nor remotely as flexible as this!This set comes with some great colors, including some sparkley ones and some iridescent ones. There is plenty of each color to make multiple projects.This cording has vastly improved over the years! It is stretchy without being prone to breakage. It is extremely flexible with no danger of cracking.All in all this is a super fun set for kids AND adults! The pricing makes this set an incredible value too! There are tons of decorative and useful items to be made from every kit!

Nice gimp, could use better guide
I work at a camp and love having gimp available for my bunk when they’re bored. This came with a nice amount and a nice variety of colors as well as all the stuff you need for keychains. My only issue is the instruction book. It’s great that it has so many patterns to try, but the pictures aren’t super clear and don’t come with any written instructions. If you’re not great at craft stuff, you need more help than that. That said, the gimp is strong, bright, and holds well. My co-counselor was able to craft a few, and they came out great.

Oh, the nostalgia
I love this lanyard making kit.I used to make these all the time when I was younger and wanted to give my children the opportunity to learn to make them as well.This kit is great! It comes with 15 different vibrant colored string which gives you so much versatility in your creativeness, all the hardware you could possibly need to complete the keychain and the most helpful, detailed instructions I’ve ever gotten from a kit.We loved all of the color variations. With 15 colors, there were so many combos we could make. I also appreciated that the keychain hardware came in several different versions. But the best thing was how many different step by step styles the instructions included. I knew how to make a few already but there are some really neat styles that I had never seen that we got to tryout!The string is very durable, you can tighten it extremely hard and it doesn’t tear or break. It’s so great to work with. My kids very much enjoyed learning to make these and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t partake in the keychain making fun.With everything this kit comes with, I find it to be a great value for the money. And we are so pleased with the product.

Not impressed
The plastic string that has many names; boondoggle, lanyard and more. This kit consists of many different colors of string some are a solid color and others are clear.The clear colored string is supposed to be glittery! They have small flex of a Silverish color embedded in them for the glittery effect but the specs are not abundant and the only time that I see any sparkling at all is when it is all on the spool. It’s very shiny but not sparkly.I found the rolls of string in several different states of unrest. They are not very consistent as far as how they have been wound onto the spool. There are 12 m of string per spool. I didn’t measure them all but after I measured one of them I used the empty spool separate from the string to get an accurate weight and compared that to all the rest.Most of them were within an acceptable variation or difference slightly more or less except for black, beige and red, there was a significant difference between these and the rest.I have used a few of the colors so far and I found an issue that that they share and it’s probably a safe bet that all of them are going to be the same way; one of the pictures has a single black string and if you look close enough you can see the kinking and twisting in it. There are some of the areas that can be straightened out this was not one of them.a good value depends on what you’re doing with this string and who will be using it. It also comes with 10 each of key rings, jump rings, tape measure, clips and scissors.It is strong and easy to use but the knots have to be pulled very tightly for them not to come undone.
