How to get clear and clean sound from the podcast dynamic mic?
We suggest to face the top of the mic and speak into it in 2-6 inches range. Adjust the mic gain knob to the proper level before speaking. Recommend that keep the mic away from electronic devices to reduce interference.
Are the function keys of this studio microphone available for XLR connection?
No. All the function keys, like gain knob and mute button are only available for USB connection. If you want to use the function keys via XLR connection, please connect the mic to a computer via USB connection at the same time.
Does this streaming mic work for phone?
Yes, but it only comes with a USB-A to USB-C cable for connecting with computer. If you want to use the mic with phone, please use a suitable adapter or USB cable to connect them.
Does the pc mic come with a stand?
No. But the mic works with Fifine CS1 suspension boom arm (ASIN: B09BQQTLC8) and BM63 heavy duty boom arm (ASIN: B09YHCFTQZ). And it is also suitable with stands that have 5/8″ or 3/8″ connectors.
What devices does the fifine k688 usb/xlr work with?
This mic works with computer, PS4/PS5 via USB connection, and audio interface and mixer via XLR connection. Non-standard XLR cable may introduce noise or not work with the product. It is recommended use the original XLR cable (L9 sold separately).

A Streaming Quality Mic at a Budget Price
I have used quite a few microphones over the years at varying price points, and the same thing can typically be said, the more expensive, the better they sound. This however kind of breaks the mold.The Mic quality is stellar for the price point. I have Mics that cost twice as much and this almost sounds as good. The Mic is light and easy to setup. It has out of box with usb with little adjustment to sound good, and the boom arm is easy to maneuver. If you want even more control over volume and sound, hook this up to a sound board via XLR and the quality goes even higher.If you are looking to upgrade beyond a headset or webcam mic and don’t want to break the bank, this is a good one to choose.

Audio is pretty good considering its price point and competitors. I decided to upgrade from my Blue Snowball microphone. This version comes with a boom arm but I found a mic stand that was more useful based on the desk that I have. Definitely worth it!IMPORTANT: Comes with USB-C cable but NOT an XLR cable. USB-C mic quality is fine but if you want to use with an XLR cable, you will need to buy one and also an XLR interface.

High quality sound
Quality mic and easy to set up and integrate into recordings. It has a nice sound quality without a lot of settings adjustment, on the deeper rich side so good for podcasting or streaming vs music. The mic feels pretty sturdy and the included boom is a nice addition for the cost. Itâs not the most pro quality boom but it is metal and would work nice for a home setup for streamer, gamer or home podcasting.
