Very sturdy
Works well but is difficult to open vise as there is binding. Wax helped but may have to take it apart and slightly file the wood guides.

This is a very good quality workstation/vise. For the reviewers saying it was hard to mount because the holes are hard to reach, Well I ask, “You call yourself a wood worker?” it is easy with a little thought and Enginuity. I am happy I went the extra money and bought this one. Sure to enjoy and will pass it to my son built to last.

All the amenities of a full sized bench.
Most of my workshop is taken up by a table I cant get rid of. This allows my to have access to all of the work holding devices I would use on a full sized bench. It works with most 3/4 in holdfasts, and bench dogs.

The workstation works well for me and love it. Heavy construction, but can’t decide to leave as is or to stain it, varish it, or what. Leaving as is for now.

Really poor quality
The first unit of this I received was missing the wooden dowel for the handle and I noticed the wood channels cut for the side metal poles to slide through weren’t sized to match correct and had been cracked by the force of the poles being inserted while shipping.Send that one back for a replacement. The second one came and while it finally had all parts, it also had the same cracked wood already from the poor sized channels. This caused the poles to bind like crazy when sliding in/out so opening and closing the vice was nearly impossible. Loath to go through the whole process exchange again with such a heavy box, I decided to live with the crack and widen the channel myself with a router.It’s working okay now but for the cost of this thing I’m incredibly disappointed that two separate ones of these in a row were poorly milled in the same way. Is this seller only selling returned rejects maybe?

A nice small workbench
I haven’t had a chance to build a large workbench. This came quickly and was easy to assemble. I clamp it to a desk I have and it allows me to do some small work. Looks real nice also.

This is an awesome product that is exactly what the pictures indicate and what we were looking for. It is much heavier than we anticipated. It has great versatility in our woodworking shop. We had a steel plate custom made to be able to mount the workstation onto the platform of our drill press. We carve birds and animals with odd shapes and a lot of curved surfaces, so we needed something to hold the work piece in place to drill holes. We use an ST11 Holdfast clamp, also from Sjoberg and they were excellent together for securing irregular shaped pieces. A very versatile workstation for use on a benchtop as well. Excellent product.

My workbench was lower than I wanted it to be,as I do some woodcarving, This was just the right hight ,to give me those extra hours of carving without killing my back,from leaning over my work. And it’s solid enough to last me for years. A bit pricey though.
