Customers say
Customers find the exercise mat to be of good quality with metal construction, and appreciate its durability, comfort, and thickness, with one noting it’s thick enough to protect old knees. The cushioning receives positive feedback, with one customer mentioning it provides good traction, and customers consider it worth the price. However, the length receives mixed reviews – while some find the 71″ length perfect, others say it’s not long enough for most people. Moreover, the hardware is a significant concern, as the mat comes with absolutely no hardware.

Right size, durable, easy to hang, worth the extra money
I bought two of these for our 1 hour work outs 4 times per week. So far we’ve had our shoes on them for most exercises in the hour including jumping around. They’re the right thickness so that our hard floors don’t hurt when on the ground, absorb shock from jumping, but not so thick that you’re off balance or sinking in too much. I’ve used both thinner and thicker pads and this is the right balance. We bought floating shelf hangers, which are just two screws and a 5″ pole that sticks out and these mount perfectly on those. I had to buy a set of 4, but they’re cheap and perfect for this. I haven’t noticed any real signs of wear yet after a couple months of use. They don’t have the slick super easy to clean surface that some of them come with that allow you to do a 3 second wipe down. For these I have to kind of get a hold of the rag tight and take a few extra seconds to clean it because of the texture. Functionally these are worth the little bit of extra money and I will buy the same ones again once they start to wear out.

Great!
Great! Purchased two of these mats for stretching and Ab work for my home gym. Also purchased a hanger to keep them in good condition. They are thick and comfy. Absolutely wonderful.

Perfect and excellent value
To provide some perspective, Iâm old and seldom give a 5-star rating. Four stars is a good recommendation. Five stars is perfect; nothing is.What are the downsides, if any. Good product, works well given that it is generic size.

Good but not PF quality
My tail bone use to get sore after doing abs. The ones at Planet Fitness are awesome but at over $100 I decided to try this. The density it pretty good and I can do quite a bit before it gets real sore. Two feet wide is just enough. It’s definitely not crap and for the money I’m pleased. Definitely go with the thickest size available. I’m over 6’3″ and 230# so if you way less you probably won’t have an issue but if you way more I’d suggest you find a better option.I’m happy overall!

Commercial mat for yoga or floor exercise – top pick based on experience
Okay, I’ll just say it – I didn’t want to pay full price for this mat. And I didn’t because it was half price during Amazon days. I actually think that all the truly commercial quality exercise mats are too expensive. I’ve used sooo many of them in gyms across the country (I travel for business) but I do like the SPRI branded mats because they seem to consistently hold up to heavy use. They don’t stretch or tear easily, the foam is dense enough that they don’t need to be too thick to offer great cushioning, they are easily cleaned AND they come in a 72 inch length. Now for this mat: I needed the 72 inch length, as I’m 5ft 10in and for yoga needed the real estate. It does come in both a thicker and shorter option, but the 3/8 inch (about as thick as an iPhone) is perfect because it provides great isolation from the floor for my aging (69 yo) body, it doesn’t stretch, but it isn’t squishy so that eagle or tree poses feel nearly as stable as if doing them on a hard floor. Okay, big positive here – the mat did NOT have a chemically smell to it when new. So many complain about some mats having obnoxious odor I was concerned this would, but it did not. At all. I can be up close and personal like in baby cobra or childs and can’t even smell it. Lastly, it came rolled tightly up, but unrolled easily without lots of memory. The hanging grommets are a nice feature, which I don’t use. It’s heavier than some, and certainly heavier than any true yoga mat. I can’t see this as ever slipping on a floor unless the floor is really dirty and dusty, but nothing sticks to those floors.So. Now that I own this mat, would I pay full price? Yes and no. Since it should last and last and last, that full price will be amortized over a long time so I might have talked myself into it. If you buy a less resilient mat and then have to repurchase, you’ve bought this one already.Suggestion: if you don’t want to buy this mat now, put it in your shopping cart, save it for later, and watch the price. That’s how I caught the sale.

So good, I ordered it twice
Great product. I was even able to sleep on it. It’s great for floor exercise because it is easy on the joints.

Good quality Mat but a bit smelly. Iâm hoping it will shell off in time.

So happy with this mat! Itâs high quality, doesnât slip on my wood floor and most importantly the thickness is perfect! No more painful knees with doing exercises on the mat! Already planning to get another oneTo have 2!

great product, found the holes for the screws really large, you could use a 3/8″ lag screw to hold a yoga mat, little overkill. I drilled smaller holes, and just used screws.

The Exercise Mates slide of the two racks as they are not on the right angle. Terrible design!!! Do not buy this item!!
