Ryot & Aureliaâs Story
I loved this story so much. Probably my favorite of this series (so far). The way Ryot loves Aurelia is the way you hope anyone to be loved. Itâs kind of a he falls first trope except that he is hesitant to accept it. He knows in his bones that sheâs the one for him after their first meeting but due to his past relationship heâs a bit reluctant to move forward with his life. And what he doesnât realize at the first meeting is that sheâs his new principal heâll be protecting as her bodyguard. This adds to his reluctance to fall.Aurelia is a arranged by her father to marry someone else and as a princess she wants to do what her country needs but she also doesnât want her first time to be with someone she doesnât like and choose for herself. She is hoping to make some memories that will get her through what she believes will be a loveless marriage. She feels the sparks fly with Ryot at that first meeting as well.The sparks continue to fly and their budding relationship grows as Ryot continues to protect her against the people trying to hurt her.Aureliaâs arranged marriage falls apart but this pushes Ryot into acknowledging he doesnât want to lose her. He continues to struggle with his one internal battle but knows he canât live without her.I donât want to give too many spoilers. This is a beautiful love story with the right amount of suspense with it. Very much enjoyed this book and one of my favs of this year and this series. Looking forward to the next book!

I do love a protective MMC and it doesnât get much better than in a bodyguard trope. Ryot and Aurelia have a hot and heavy meeting in a bar before they realize theyâll be working so close together. I love the angst coming from their working relationship and add in the suspenseful aspect and it was a riveting read/listen.I absolutely loved the narration, but I always do when listening to Shane East. Ava Lucas did an amazing job with Aureliaâs character adding in such feistiness to her performance. The duet narration was a bonus and made listening straight through a breeze.

I’m not sure where to start,but here goes,I wish at times there was a option for more stars than just five because this one deserves more! When Royt meets Aurelia outside of a bar he was a goner but he didn’t know it at the time,just his protective instincts kick in and he saves the Princess from a drunk man.Aurelia was just there for some fun and many lose her v card before she gets married, but she can’t even break the stone around Ryot’s heart.But now there is more threats on the Princess ‘s life and he is hired on to be her bodyguard.He is just trying to his job but at times it’s very hard,there are more threats and temptation is ramping up with the two characters. It’s decided that maybe from moving from a different hotel isn’t working out with the threats still coming maybe move to a safehouse,that seems to do the job until Aurelia’s fiance shows up,he wants answers and the bodyguard wants answers and Aurelia is caught in the middle.Aurelia tells her boyfriend Gavin it’s over but he doesn’t take it very good and trys to man handle her and Royot saves her from being attacked. So another plan is hatch where it solves Royot problem with his grandfather Arthur and the Princess ‘s country. Plans are set and everything goes off has plan and the Princess and the bodyguard are on their honeymoon and danger attacks but this time it also effects family members too they did take out the person who was the attacker,someone who was atleast suspected but at a cost too,Royot was seriously hurt and he was very closed to losing his Princess. Put after Royot was healing he starts to notices changes in Aurelia, she tells him she needs to step away from him,she needs time to think.He gives her space and time but he feels hurt.She finally comes to a decision and she talks it over with her family and Royot. Threw the time apart Royot finally realized he loves his wife and he can freely express it to her now and that’s all she wanted to hear because they both love each other has a couple,has one and nothing and no one was going break them up.This story was so beautiful, it was heart breaking at times but filled with love too!I can’t wait for Tyler’s story next,I hope Michael still gets to tell his story after losing Karma to death,it will hurt but he needs to finally put his love to rest!Thank you L.Steele for another great story! Are you sure you don’t own stock in a tissue company, I’m sure to stock up when I start one of your story’s!

I was waiting for this book for so long and it was worth the wait – and more. I have to say that it has to be one of L. Steele’s best books. Well written, kept you on the edge of your seat and a great story and romance as well. It answered a few questions from previous books about some characters. Can’t wait until the next one comes out.

Aurelia meets Ryot in a place she isn’t supposed to be, and sparks fly and turn into flames!Then she finds out who he is, and he finds out she is a real princess who needs a Security team!They both have to adapt to this new situation, and Aurelia learns why a bodyguard with a security team is a necessity. The plot twists, including a marriage of convenience and increasing danger winds this plot tighter and tighter!Ms. Steele has written a very spicy story of a marriage of convenience that burns hotter and brighter to an amazing HEA!I received an ARC of The Reluctant Wife. Another wonderful story about the Davenport men and the women they bring into their lives! Ryot is perfect for Aura, and sheâs more than perfect for him. As a Royal Aura has a duty to her country to marry and increase the coffers. Sounds like they live in the Middle Ages, but I guess it still holds true. Ryot is more than a security guard hired to protect, and he takes his duties seriously especially since he has the hots for Aura Princess of Revenza. Heâs hot, sheâs smitten, thereâs definitely love in the air! Loved it!
