Thirty days. One bed. One impossible rule: Don’t catch feelings for the boss who can’t stand you.

I promised myself I’d never trust another man.

Then my grumpy, stone-hearted boss made me an offer I couldn’t ignore.

Sinclair Sterling is cold, calculated, and so effortlessly handsome it’s infuriating. He needs a stand-in wife to keep the board of directors at bay; I need the paycheck to help my family and protect my sister.

The rules?

Thirty days. One contract. And absolutely no falling for each other.

But living with Sinclair is its own kind of challenge.

Every brush of his fingers leaves me breathless.

Every look he gives me feels like a dare.

And when we’re forced to share a bed? The tension between us threatens to unravel everything.

He calls it business.

I call it a disaster waiting to happen.

But somewhere between the sharp words and the stolen moments, my heart forgets this is temporary.

And when it’s all over, I don’t know if I’ll be walking away—or running back to the one man I was never supposed to want.

The Billionaire’s Fake Wife – Engaging Story, Page Turner
A very well-done enemy to lovers’ story I totally enjoyed reading. This is the first book of a series “Big Bad Billionaires”. The tension jumped from our two characters, Sinclair/Sin and Summer along with the steamy chemistry and BDSM romance and the engaging dialog between them which kept me highly entertained. The story line is about a young man who sworn revenge against the ones who kidnapped and imprisoned him and years later is a dominating billionaire with the power and money to exact it. Summer is the daughter of the man who kidnapped him. Summer and her sister grew up in the system after her father was killed so she has no idea of the damage her father did is the sweet spunky innocent in this story that throws Sin in a loop. What was the outcome was an enjoyable copy I’d received and volunteer to read and review.

    Couldn’t put it down
I just couldn’t put it down. Be aware that there are plenty of triggers in this story, which involve kidnapping, abuse, and the Mafia, eventually. The banter and movie quotes make the story come alive.I did take 1 star off as it was at times hard to discern who was actually saying what; I really hate that, especially when I have to flip back to address this issue.Overall, I enjoyed the train wreck that was Sin and Summer’s story.

Beginning of What looks to be a great series of 7 stand-alone stories!
The Big, Bad Billionaire series by L. Steele revolves around 7 men who became close friends after being kidnapped for ransom in their youth. (Six of the 7 came from wealthy families, while the 7th just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time). The experience bonded them for life and together they became powerful billionaires vowing to get revenge on all those involved in their kidnapping. Though kidnapped and held in captivity together, the experience, and thus the after effects and how they each dealt with it differed. So each has his own particular baggage and ways of dealing with it. Currently, there a 3 books already out in the series, but…7 friends, so 7 books ultimately. Each book is a stand-alone about of one of the 7, but with a common backstory dealing with their revenge that runs through all of them.Billionaire’s Fake Wife is the first in the series and is Sinclair (Sin) Sterling’s story. As the only one of the 7 who didn’t come from money, he was the expendable one and used as an example for the other families so his experience was pretty horrendous. Domineering and manipulative to get what he wants, he is definitely a villain/hero. (The h even calls him an “alphahole”…often.) He’s a bit of a “Dom” especially in the bedroom. But he does have a soft side which peaks out every now and then and more often as he becomes more enamored of the h.The h, Summer Cora West, is the daughter of the man who kidnapped Sin as a child for the Mob because he was indebted to them. She and her sister believe their father is dead as the grew up in foster care. Summer has her own issues, but is sweet, with occasional submissive tendencies, but still no pushover and not afraid to fight back. She’s smart and sassy. He intends to use her to bring her father back from the U.S. (Story takes place in U.K.), to see him ruined and get their revenge. After, he will let her go, not caring if he breaks her in the process. But his plans stray as, unlike most people, afraid to confront him and who usually just run and hide, she does the exact opposite. She stands up to him, tells him off, fights him and yet, at times, gives in to him. Just when he thinks he has her figured out so he knows how she’ll react to something, she does the complete opposite and throws him for a loop. The more she challenges him, the more intrigued he becomes.I loved that her hot and cold, fight or give in attitude was natural to her personality as was fighting her aattraction to the H. It was a real emotional response and not calculated. He is pretty much the same though he tries to convince himself his actions are calculated. When he’s being an alphahole, it’s mostly because he’s trying to fight his attraction and convince himself he has no feeling for her or anyone. I loved her, and just couldn’t hate him, even in the beginning when he was at his worst. I loved the interplay between them.Warning… As I said previously, Sin is a bit of a Dom so expect some bdsm tendencies (e.g., some spankings (mostly for pleasure), control in the bedroom and some intense sexual scenes.) If you plan to read this series, I think it’s safe to say that you can expect similar in all the 7’s stories…particularly Saint’s (next in line). He featured most prominent of the other 6 friends in this story and based on how he is presented, I suspect he is the most dominant of all and prefers his women submissive….guess I’ll find out for sure when I read the next! One final word, L. Steele has written has another story coming out soon that is about Summer’s sister, Karma. Although it is not part of the Bad Boy Billionaires series, it is tied to it in that Karma’s love interest is the current leader of the Mob family that was responsible for the 7’s kidnapping. Karma’s story will span more than 1 book as part of another series (not sure how many, but likely to be cliff hangers).

I so wanted to love this book
I had high hopes for this one. I love enemies to lovers with all the tension and banter, but I could not get past some of the heroes behaviors at the beginning of the book.He fires the receptionist because he doesn’t like her face. He is mean if not down right cruel to everyone he meets. It was just a bit much for me and I couldn’t get past it even as the love grew between them. I also could not seem to get past the sort of cheating that happened. I’m not even sure what the point of it all was but it made the bad taste I had worse. Basically what happened was he agranged for Summer to arrive at a certain time and also had a women their “taking care of him”. He set it up so that Summer would walk in to see this moment. For me that was just so cruel. I get they weren’t actually together yet but there was clearly some fire between them and this action seemed to unnecessary and needlessly cruel. At this point we already get he’s a jerk, I don’t think this needed to happen to drive that point home. I also wish that Summer had a stronger reaction to this instead she ran away and sulked which brought her down in my eyes. I liked her spunk before this moment but after I couldn’t see her the same way.All of that being said it is well written, I just couldn’t get past some of the characters actions to fully enjoy the story.I do wish this had been duet narration as the female narrator did not do well with male voices. They were a bit nasally and a bit annoying to listen to. But her voice for female characters was great. She just shouldn’t do male characters unless they are sniveling weasels that everyone is supposed to hate. That feels mean to say but while listening any time she voiced a male, especially the hero, it just took me out of the story and I struggled to enjoy it. Male narrator did great and is one of my favorites which lead me to wanting this audiobook.Overall my score is 3.5. The writing itself is good, there are just some character and story problems that made this one difficult to get through. Which is frustrating because I really wanted to love this story, it had some great ideas.

I accidentally read the Mafia series first so went back to read this series as some of the characters crossed over or were spoken about. I really enjoyed it. The story was good and I loved the sarcasm and how the relationship developed between the characters. Sinclair as well as the other six men have in the series were kidnapped and tortured when they are twelve which as you can imagine had quite the profound effect on their behaviours and interactions with those around them. The rules don’t apply to them! They are brash, single minded and can be rough at times, but it’s fair to say that Sinclair has truly met his match in Summer who is feisty and can hold her own with him, something that he’s not used to.Whilst Sin can be very focused and ruthless about getting what he wants however he wants and damn the consequences there is a very different side to his character. Near the very end of the book you get a glimpse of how his experiences have had a profound affect his psyche. Although he has the other men around him that would know what he went through Sin tends to internalise what happened during the kidnapping. His coping mechanism is just heartbreaking but I loved how Summer pulled no punches and was clear she was going nowhere and they would hold each other up together. The authors books really do hook you in and I love that although each of the books focus is on the main characters the ones on the periphery are integral to not only the current story but the whole series of books.

I’m really lucky to be unwell right know, because It make me feel less guilty to have bing read the three book of this series in two days. 🥱I admit that in the beginning I was afraid of not liking this book. I love so much Karma and Mica story’s ( only the first two book yet), that I feared to be disappointed by Summer and Sin story’s. Obviously I was very wrong ! Boy, what a ride it has been! 🤯🤯🤯First of all, I loved Summer personality ! She’s bravo, loving, determinate, and always sunny! Her pink outfits’ lighten the book, even more when you learn what pink mean to her. 💝I was so happy that I see the relationship between Karma and Summer, which is hilarious! I’m not sure if I’m my reading order was correct, but for me in this book, was the first I see them both together, and I honestly can’t wait to see the four of reunited in one room. It will be so epic and funny ! I mean, Karma was totally on team Sin, so I guess Summer will have her revenge when she sees her with Mica ! 🤣Sin story’s was also so moving, I mean it truly break my heart, 💔 and explain so much about him…The dialogue were once again amazing, and I really enjoy all the trivia 🍿🎥 quotes in the book, it was really good !

I loved the story and the the hot enemies to lovers romance there, but it was a little too fast paced for my usual reading, Though I’m definitely hitched an will read the other books of the seven, because the story is beautiful and the steamy scenes are a huge turn on. I can recommend this for everyone who wants to read a hot romance, packed full of storyline in a short amount of time.

Faking It: Enemies to Lovers Fake Marriage Billionaire Romance (Big Bad Billionaires Book 1) is a witty read with cute back and forth banter between the characters. I absolutely loved the plus and pull banter between Sinclair and Summer. I found the supporting character’s intriguing and I can’t wait to read their own stories. A bit of humor mixed up with sizzling hot scenes, unexpected twists, and family turmoil. I absolutely loved it and looking forward to reading more books in this billionaire’s world.Just a fun read you dont want to miss out on.
