Unbreakable, Reliable
I love Nalgenes, my last one just broke after 10+ years, split right down the middle when I dropped it (it was a rigid 1L bottle and had seen a lot of sun) so I was ready for a new one. I wanted a 1.5L this time, and this one popped up in my search, it is less rigid than others, but this is their original design and what they got famous for. I love it, plenty of volume, virtually unbreakable, and the best price on Nalgenes.

good, smells like wax
Use: day hiking hydrationPros: Good water bottle with great capacity, seals well and is relatively light weight.Cons: this is not made from the same rigid plastic as the regular sized bottles, it is a softer, more waxy plastic and definitely has a smell. I don’t mind it too much, kind of reminds me of the smell of those old wax mold-a-rama toys, but it will definitely bother you if you’re sensitive.conclusion: great for increasing capacity on longer trips. If the smell bothers you, get the normal nalgene or a proper water bladder that can also store smaller when empty.

Durable as hell
My Nalgene bottle recently gave up the ghost after splitting on one side. Although disappointing it should be noted that I have owned said water bottle for 7 3/4 years and apart from a new lid it has performed flawlessly. It has lasted through countless hunting trips in South Texas, Minnesota and even the southern alps of New Zealand. It bounced around in the back of my work vehicle and rolled around the floorboards of boats. It has worn stickers and sharpie writing and outlasted them all. I would recommend this bottle to anyone who asks. Tough as nails.

“I really like this bottle; I’ve been using it for 3-4 weeks now. I particularly enjoy the wide mouth, but my only struggle is that I often spill water on myself because it’s harder to control in a bottle with a large opening. Hopefully, I will get used to it.

A nice big water bottle to keep beside me as I work and sip. I like that the cap is attached, and the part holding it is long enough that it doesn’t impede drinking while flipped back. I’m glad there’s no straw (those are hard to clean and bothersome). The material is thick and sturdy. I haven’t tried dropping it when full, though, I’m not sure if it’ll survive that. But overall, good quality.My only complaint is that it’s kind of hard to hold in one hand. I sometimes have to sip from it using both hands, which looks silly. If the bottle could have had a slight indent or texture to make holding easier, it would be perfect.Still worth 5 Stars, because I know there’s a lot of really bad quality stuff on Amazon, and this is the simple, no-frills water bottle that I wanted.
