Nice replacement for an old one
I have an old style wall heater and parts are a little harder to find sometimes. My t-stat went out this was a nice replacement. It looks nice and works great. Easy to install and get the heat going again.

I bought this to replace an ancient mercury rocker switch. As it turned out the old thermostat was fine but the problem was a shoddy wiring “repair” left by a cheap in-law remodel. I ended up tearing out half a wall, making my 5 minute task a 3 day affair. But this thermostat looked so good I used it.Anyhoo, it looks good, works fine, and is accurate enough to not inspire me to adjust it.

Backup for WiFi Thermostat…hmm.!
An interesting story. I had a Wifi Thermostat that died after 3 months of use in a house recently vacated. Of course it failed on the coldest day, on a Sunday, no less. Had to drive 120 miles, rig up some heat, hope nothing freezes. To prevent such mishaps again, I bought this to be a backup to the WiFi. I simply wired the heat wire pair in parallel to the WiFi, and set this mechanical to 50F, and the WiFi at 55F or higher.The thermostat is well made, simple to install. Comes with two wall anchors, screws. The switch is activated by a bi-metal spring. Seems calibrated too. Has a heat anticipator for water or steam, very old school to prevent overheating the house with the stored heat in the radiators.Highly recommended. Reminder … this is a a HEAT ONLY 2 wire thermostat, and it does not have a fan switch, an on/off switch, or anything else.

Do not buy.
Only positive is easy installation. Will not hold temperature in a room. You get this roller coaster of freezing then a tiny puff of heat. This is more of an on off switch then a thermostat. I actually reinstalled my old mercury switch thermostat which works 100 times better than this piece of junk.

Not good for âregulatingâ the heat but I was stuck needing a rectangular style. Only good for turning heat on or off yourself. But thatâs what I needed and so for the money Iâll deal with it.

On the advice of a natural gas technician I installed this thermostat as the switch on our gas fireplace as the regular switch kept causing the fireplace to shutoff. This switch has fixed the problem with the added bonus that in the advent of a power failure the fireplace will automatically start when the room temperature falls below the thermostat setting.

We love this wall mounted thermostat but there are no definite markings on the slide set, there are numbers for temp setting but no in between finer lines, so 50,60,70,80,90 is all that is displayed, so we marked the spot for 72% under the slider.The up side it looks pretty and works well.
