Customers say

Customers find these nippers razor-sharp and effective at cutting through plastic like butter, with virtually no cleanup required. Moreover, they work well for model building, with one customer noting they’re perfect for 1/48 scale aircraft modeling. However, customers disagree on the value for money, with some finding them worth the price while others consider them too expensive. Additionally, the sturdiness receives mixed reviews, with several customers reporting that the blades break easily.

Good buy for serious modelers and professionals
Great product but understand what you are paying for. The base casting the use are definitely cleaner which decrease machine time and possible induced stress or changes to the metallurgy from grinding induced heat. Godhabd also uses solid stop pins compared to others roll pins decease the likelihood of sharing extend the service life. The grip are slightly thicker than other and has a nice textured surface. The 2 biggest difference are in the feel of the grippers, the godhand has slight resistance that slows the opening and closing, as well as have a defined edge cut. These things all contribute to repeatability when using them as well as setup. The my other premium set cuts similar to these but it took me polishing, deburring and breaking them in to get theirThere is also something to be said about QA and consistency, these will be the same everytime other may have issues upon arrival. At the end of the day for me at least the premium price is justified by the amount of hassle I can remove from my process by knowing I have a constant product. If you are detail oriented and like those points I recommend these but if you other experience will vary.

Ahhhhhhhh, WOW! I am beyond surprised.
I was very skeptical about these snips, but I was given an Amazon gift card for Christmas, so I decided to splurge on a really nice tool for my hobby and ordered the God Hands SPN-120 set which are intended for really fine cuts for part removal.Despite reviews I remained very skeptical as to whether or not they would prove to be any better than my Tamiya snips that I have used for years and am on my second pair of (the $40 fine tip version). I was so skeptical in fact that when the God Hands arrived I was very careful when removing them from the packaging, because if they weren’t any better than the Tamiya snips then I had every intent to send them straight back to Amazon.Needless to say from the tone and title of this review, I will NOT be returning them. I removed them from the packaging, inspected them for manufacturing errors or damage, finding none I grabbed a sprue off my bench and sliced through the side runner. It was literally like a hot knife through butter. I was simply amazed, so I repeated the task a dozen times with the same results. Then I grabbed my Tamiya snips and cut the same sprue, it took at least twice the physical force to cut, and the end result was nowhere near as clean of a cut.Being the nerd that I am I took them both to my wife and had her use the Tamiya snips first, no problem, they worked as expected. Then I handed her the God Hands and had her do another cut; her response was “wow!”. She then proceeded to cut the rest of the sprue into bits just because it is amazing how easy it is to do. Literally like as close to zero resistance as you can possibly get in a world subject to the laws of physics.I returned to my bench and made sure they performed as well on other brands of plastic, and in every case they cut easier and MUCH cleaner than the Tamiya snips did. Could it be that the Tamiya snips are a bit dull because of repeated use, sure; but I can without a doubt say they NEVER cut this smoothly, even on their first day out of the packaging. Will the God Hands hold up over time? No Idea. They seem to be built very well, they have a built-in stop to prevent them from opening too wide, and another to prevent you from squeezing them to hard, and they included a cover to protect the tips, but sure, they may dull over time and need to be sharpened or replaced. If that happens soon enough to me writing this review to be note worthy, then I will update the review, but for now I am simply amazed. So amazed that I decide to leave this review, and to even go the extra distance and include images to compare the two brands. The images may be grainy because they are very close images of a very small sprue, but you get the idea from them. The two with a ‘T’ written on them are the Tamiya snips, the three without are from the God Hands. I included head on pics as well as from the side which is better at showing how smooth the cut is.I will still use my Tamiya snips, after all they do a good job and we always need a set of snips for larger items or resin and the God Hand SPN-120s are intended for plastic only. But if the God Hands hold up then they will become a permanent tool on my bench. If you have a steady hand, and are accustomed to cutting your parts as close to the part as possible (like I do), then these will probably remove most all parts without the need for sanding.Yes, they are the most expense snips available, so they ought to work better than all others out there, but it was very nice to find that they do indeed perform as advertised.

Best nippers I have used by far
These are the best nippers I have used. For me they replaced a similarly pricey Hasegawa set, and these are WAY smoother. Very clean, and slices through smoothly with little resistance.I use these in tandem with a cheaper set that I use to get the parts out of the runners before doing the small bits with these.Photo shows a cut from these nippers without any further cleanup.

Worth the cost. Best I have used.
Pros: Fantastic for snipping from sprue without part flying across the desk Best I have used and worth the extra cost.Cons: The tips are very delicate and you must pay attention to the warnings on Amazon written in Japanese but with diagrams regarding what can and cannot be snipped. I broke the end of mine after disregarding this.

    They’re Perfect
What can I say? I love them. I was using a pair of cutters I got in a toolkit at the Gundam Base in Japan back in like 2019 and after I noticed some notching in those, I decided to just take the plunge and try a pair of GodHands. I won’t even go back to standard, hobby snippers again. These things are fantastic. They’re sharp, make clean cuts, are light and feel good in my hand. They’ve got a clean look and they work perfectly for clipping plastic free from the sprue. As long as you’re not buying these to cut wire of do any home improvement projects, these are perfect for tight spaces and small pieces. They’re worth the price, even though that’s what put me off of them for so long. I was worried the cutters wouldn’t be worth the money. I am glad I was wrong.

    awful product
I received these $60 God Hand clippers as a gift, and they BROKE in less than THREE MONTHS with normal use. For something this expensive, I expected WAY better durability. I’ve had cheaper clippers last for years – these fell apart ridiculously fast.To make matters worse, trying to get support is a nightmare. The manufacturer’s website is entirely in Japanese with no English contact info, so there’s literally no way to reach them for a replacement or repair. If you’re going to sell an expensive product internationally, the least you can do is provide some form of customer service in English. For the price, this is completely unacceptable. Save your money and buy from a company that stands behind their products. Total waste of money. 👎👎👎

G.O.A.T nipper. Don’t settle for less.
This is the GOAT nipper. Bar none. Lasted me 2-3 years and worth every penny. Tried other single blade nippers thinking itll be comparable. NAH. Time is money when it comes to model assembly. Don’t settle for other brands. Rubber grippy handles. Feels light and perfect size in the hands. Godhands cut sooo much more flush and the angle and thinness of the blade just makes your modeling experience and efficiency so much better.

The blade broke off while assembling the model, and I only used it on plastic.

I had to buy nippers to do my Gundam models. So after agonizing for a full week going over dozens of reviews of different nippers , i finally caved in and decided to buy the expensive one. Got them, solid out of the pack. No quality issues. So on to the show. I started to cut with them and right off the bat you will not that it slices thru the runners like butter. Which is pretty much what is is supposed to do. There is no click, no final snap. You just place it the right way and gently and slowly price down and it goes thru. Pretty nice. The problem for me comes from the fact that the plastic sticks like crazy to the blade of the nipper. You will cut a piece and find yourself constantly having to clean the rest of the plastic off from the nipper. I do not know if it is because of the way the plastic is made or the way the nipper is made but you will have to clean often. A bit annoying when you are trying to get things done. They are comfortable in hand and feel sturdy and of quality. I can say buy them but you will have to clean the nipper. Solid buy all the way.
