“NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER Pierce Brown’s relentlessly entertaining debut channels the excitement of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card.
“Red Rising ascends above a crowded dystopian field.”—USA Today Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!
“I live for the dream that my children will be born free,” she says. “That they will be what they like. That they will own the land their father gave them.” “I live for you,” I say sadly. Eo kisses my cheek. “Then you must live for more.”
Darrow is a Red, a member of the lowest caste in the color-coded society of the future. Like his fellow Reds, he works all day, believing that he and his people are making the surface of Mars livable for future generations. Yet he toils willingly, trusting that his blood and sweat will one day result in a better world for his children.
But Darrow and his kind have been betrayed. Soon he discovers that humanity reached the surface generations ago. Vast cities and lush wilds spread across the planet. Darrow—and Reds like him—are nothing more than slaves to a decadent ruling class.
Inspired by a longing for justice, and driven by the memory of lost love, Darrow sacrifices everything to infiltrate the legendary Institute, a proving ground for the dominant Gold caste, where the next generation of humanity’s overlords struggle for power. He will be forced to compete for his life and the very future of civilization against the best and most brutal of Society’s ruling class. There, he will stop at nothing to bring down his enemies… even if it means he has to become one of them to do so.
Performed by Stewart Crank, John Kielty, Richard Rohan, Stephanie Németh-Parker, Jenna Sharpe, Kay Eluvian, Jon Vertullo, Ian Russell, Alejandro Ruiz, Andrew Colford, Bradley Foster Smith, Christopher Williams, Chris Stinson, Christopher Walker, Colleen Delany, Elizabeth Jernigan, Eric Messner, Ian Putnam, James Konicek, Joe Mallon, Joel David Santner, Julie-Ann Elliott, Karen Novak, Ken Jackson, Lucy Symons, Marni Penning, Martin Dickinson, Matthew Bassett, Matthew Pauli, Matthew Schleigh, Michael Glenn, Michael John Casey, Nanette Savard, Nazia Chaudhry, Nora Achrati, Shanta Parasuraman, Stephone Walker, Dylan Lynch, Yasmin Tuazon and Andy Clemence.

Great story and verbal presentation with multiple cast members
I actually really enjoyed it. My first audiobook that I listened to all the way through and now have bought the second half and another series by the same author. Helped get me through a 7 hour drive and the time passed quickly. Having more than one actor helps from the potential monotony of a single narration voice, and helps delineate the characters. Really enjoyed it!

Hunger games meets scifi
Iâm surprised at how much i really liked this book since my usual genre romantasy. This book had me at the edge of my seat, tearing up, heated with rage and joy. It made me wonder â oh no, how will he get through this ð©â a couple of times and iâm always shocked at the events that unfolded. The graphic audio version is always a treat and the voice actors did AMAZING.

Hunger Games has nothing on this!
Insanely good. I was blown away by this. I would put this series in Graphic Audio up against any VISUAL MOVIE with its ability to grip and entertain.I hadn’t heard of the series. I recently listened to the Hunger Games which I liked a lot and this was recommended by Audible. I’m not a huge fiction reader but I like sci-fi/fantasy, so I gave it a shot.I would think that the whole world would know about this series. I can not get enough. I can’t believe I have never had this recommended to me before. I have asked ChatGPT for best books in the genre. Done searches in the past. This never came up. I love Tolkien, loved Dune especially the first book.I would put this series up against any of them. There is something for everyone. It has deep world building and a dystopian cast system dynamic like a Divergent Series or a Hunger Games. It has a romance component that is very moving. But the action in this book is on another level. The way these characters engage in the authors well thought out world building with the themes of honor and glory is gripping.I’m 1/3 into the 3rd book in the series right now and it has done nothing but get better and better. I am a 46 year old male and just finished Golden Son. It was so touching at one point, I was balling my eyes out driving home last night listening to it.The actors do a great job. There is a zero percent chance I don’t see the whole series through within another week or two. I have to know what happens now. But more importantly I just love experiencing every scene. Get this particular audio book and you will not be disappointed!!

Fantastic Audio Book
I wasn’t sure at first of this audio book. First time listening to one with multiple voices and sound effects. By the end I loved it. Really added some depth to the story while listening. I would highly recommend getting this!
