Must have speciality tool.
After watching several YouTube videos I committed to learning how the probe works. It about 95% accurate probing wise and 100% accurate in finding a open or short circuit. It’s also important to lock in on the signal or else you’ll be on goose chase. I recommend getting the yellow jacket probe needles although it’s not practical for all applications except for cars. As a DIY I’ve already saved money on shop fees and hours on diagnostic charges.

This is a must have for working on cars, trucks, electrical systems. Well worth the price, easy to learn how to use. Solves finding shorts breaks in lines quickly.

Perfect
Works great for finding electrical shorts. The sensitive range from 1 to 8 inches away helps tremendously when you can’t get right in top of the wire harness (like when tracing a short in a travel trailer). I found the problem in a couple minutes time.

A very good short circuit tracer, helped me find a few loose & burned out wires I would not have found visually. Only thing I had with it was a little to bulky to get in to tight space.

This is not a device, this is advertised junk.
The device does not work as stated. I read the user manual. batteries The first two uses in the engine compartment of the car, the device gave only false alarms. It was impossible to find the right wire. The device was ringing everywhere. At the third connection, the transmitter began to show a short circuit, despite the fact that the probe was not connected. Reconnecting and replacing the batteries did not change the situation. It is impossible to use the device for its intended purpose. Wasted money. I do not recommend.

Works great but I returned it, I didn’t realize it wasn’t the full kit with all the attachments, also doesn’t come with a case.
