By the #1 bestselling history author in the world, Bill O’Reilly comes a dramatic confrontation with good, evil, and the worst people who ever lived.

The concept of evil is universal, ancient, and ever present today. The biblical book of Genesis clearly defines it when Cain kills his brother Abel out of jealousy. Evil is a choice to make another suffer. As long as human beings have walked, evil has been close by.

Confronting Evil by Bill O’Reilly and Josh Hammer recounts the deeds of the worst people in history: Genghis Khan. The Roman Emperor Caligula. Henry VIII. The collective evil of the 19th century slave traders and the 20th century robber barons. Stalin. Hitler. Mao. The Ayatollah Khomeini. Putin. The Mexican drug cartels. Collectively, these warlords, tyrants, businessmen, and criminals are directly responsible for the death and misery of hundreds of millions of people.

By telling what they did and why they did it, Confronting Evil explains the struggle between good and evil–a choice every person in the Judeo-Christian tradition is compelled to make. But many defer. We avoid the life decision. We look away. It’s easier.

Prepare yourself to listen to the consequences of that inaction. As John Stuart Mill said in his inaugural address to the University of St. Andrews in 1867: “Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing.”

“[What stands out is] Petkoff’s bravura performance, the fine sound quality, and the exceptional direction and editing. Indeed, this is an impressive audiobook” —AudioFile on Hitler’s Last Days

A Book to Read for our Time in History!
Bill O’Reilly does it again with his clear and concise knowledge of History! Started Reading this and find it so disturbing that people like this have held and continue to hold power over humanity.Even more disturbing is the timing of this book release – the world is definitely a place where a lot of good can be found, but the existence of evil is just as prevalent in this world, and his selection of individuals that personify evil couldn’t have been more precise! Thanks again to Mr. O’Reilly for another well researched and well written book, will continue to read this book to the end.A book written for our time for sure!

    Another O’Reilly Winner!
Bill O’ Reilly and Josh Hammer have given us a fascinating, informative and well written book….. history repeats itself and evil is revealed in the cruel, insane, sinful personalities of these characters portrayed . I am a student of history-I have most of Bill O’Reilly’s works— this one does not disappoint. The account of the staggering number of people murdered by Genghis Khan and his followers was truly unbelievably horrific – and how they accomplished this was revealing. We can learn from history. ! I highly recommend it. !!

    Another good read
I have read all of Mr. O’reilly’s Killing and Confronting series. This book was well written and well researched. It was nice to have a different person in each chapter. It doesn’t make the chapters feel so long as some history books can be. I learned a lot as usual. Some of the people I’d never heard of before. Sadly sometimes it seems the evil didn’t end until the person died.

    Fabulous book
I knew Henry VIII was a cruel husband, father, and King. But, I can’t recall reading about him telling his guards to rapeCatherine because she couldn’t give him a son. A fabulous book as always, how did you select these evil people? Not enough time, too much evil. Is there going to be a follow-up to confronting the Presidents?

    Quick ok read
A quick ok read. Not as compelling as most other O’reilly books. And, most puzzling: where’s Bin Laden?

    Excellent Book!
I love all Bill’s books but this one I think is the best so far, the facts about people that we have only read about in History books are fascinating. This book goes into great detail about these evil people, and what we learn in many cases is terrifying. I hope Bill keeps writing because his books are the best, only problem is I read mainly at night, and it’s very hard to put Bill’s books down, so I am losing sleep, but well worth it!.
