What a STRONG BOXER-PROOF GATE – LOL!!!
We’ve had Regalo gate for a few years. Regalo is a great gate if you don’t have a determined dog like we do. Our Boxer kept snapping it open. If he leaned his paws up to the top of the gate, his weight would push it out of the doorway. We had to attach another gate with a bungee hook as you can see in a second picture. We replaced the gate a few times because our Boxer kept breaking it Even with a new Regalo gate, we had to keep using that 2nd gate with the bungee hook on both gates to prevent him from pulling the gate open.This SUMMER gate is freaking AWESOME!!! I’ve only had it a couple of weeks but I’ve not had to use a second gate yet. Appears our boxer has not figured out how to open it. We’ve turned the gate around so it opens differently and it’s more difficult for him to snap it open. The gate is strong enough for him to get up on it and lean and push on it and bark at whoever he wants to. It holds vert strong and it STAYS IN the doorway. Most highly recommend this gate especially if you have an escape artist Boxer like we do. Our kitchen is now safe so no more old trash, bags of baking flour or breakfast cereal on the rug, for now..lol!!! Thank you SUMMER!!

Apparently other reviewers cannot read. The instructions and a large tag attached to the gate state that the gate will not line up to latch UNTIL IT IS INSTALLED WITH PROPER TENSION. The gate is not bent. Following the installation instructions was simple.The only thing I would advise is that you do not attach the wall cups until you make sure the gate will close properly. If your doorway is not plumb, you may have to adjust the placement, but you wonât know that until you adjust the tension. You canât adjust the placement if you install the wall cups first.Also, this is not a self closing gate.

We have an odd sized hallway that this fits well. We had to replace our old one because it just started being difficult to open and close. This one is great and opens and closes just as well as it did on day 1. Will definitely look for this brand again if we need another one later

Pretty sturdy. Easy to install/assemble. Loud & clunky but definitely works. I bought for the bedroom door, keep in mind that you might want the shorter one if using in a doorway where you sometimes might want to close the door. The tall is right at doorknob level.

Exactly what we wanted
This gate was exactly what we were looking for. Extra tall (our puppy will one day be much larger) and no drilling required (we donât want to mess up our walls or doorways). It was easy to install- I did it on my own and Iâm not very handy. I followed the directions exactly and it was super easy. Latches closed firmly. My only complaint is that it makes a lot of noise. The metal closing is noisy and even opening/closing the rotation makes noise. Itâs not the worst and itâs worth it to have a good gate just wish it wasnât noisy

Love my new gate. It is easy to open and close. It keeps the dog out of my bedroom. I would highly recommend it if you have aninmals in your house and you are trying to keep them out of room and also if you have small children you need to keep in or out of a room.

If you have a baby or pet and want to keep them out of an area, this is the gate to get! It hard to open for the little ones and pets. Super sturdy so are large pets won’t push against it. I has a Siberian husky, who loved to push open doors and Jump the gates, and a toddler who’s imitating my dog ð. This gate is perfect for them, can’t push open or jump/climb over it. I will be buying 2 more!

Got this metal gate after the first gate I bought which was wooden and didnât stand a chance against my new puppy, so I got this one and it hasnât failed me since! Locks great and is super great for stairs as well!! Highly recommend easy set up

Great product for stairs with non-parallel posts and walls because they are very adjustable. Extension option makes them good for wide spaces. Fit can be a little tricky, recommend fitting the hinge side, putting on the gate, then working out where the other wall fittings need to be based on the gate position.

The gate is not welded in the right place on the base and therefor cannot latch. Canât use a gate that wonât latch- thatâs the whole purpose of a baby gate.
