They tried to break us.
They almost did.
But we’re not going anywhere.
The Celestial Heirs think the stars are on their side. But they don’t know what’s coming. We have to be smart. Fighting them one on one isn’t an option so we have to be stealthy. Remaining under the radar won’t be easy, but if we pull it off, they’ll never suspect our involvement when their lives start falling apart.
Besides, they’ve already taken us to the brink of hell, what more can they really do?

Is it gettiong better ?
We begin this story with a nice different perspective. Caleb’s pov is intriguing. It seems this vampire might have a heart after all. The insight into how the heirs act is interesting, to say the least.Darcy and Tory may have just lost all their spirit and hope, but it seems they havenât lost their impish qualities for trouble. The lore in this book is slightly complicated, with all the students being Fae but then having different orders they belong to and different elemental powers and abilities, as well as strengths and different ways to recharge their power. We get more info on Darius and the professors’ connection, and things get a bit more braided with the connection they share. We also get more info on Max. It is a change that Darius and Professor Orion are playing nicely, and even Caleb is less aggravating than in the first book. Darcy and Tory are starting to get a handle on this new school, new magic, and all that comes with it. This book has more pranks than bullying, with Darcy and Tory not being the victims of the heir but finally getting them back for the embarrassment they caused before. It is a more enjoyable read with the female MCs being stronger. This book gets steamy as one attraction finally ignites. This story has some editing errors, with a sentence being repeated later on in the book. I guess the Pitball game excited the author as well. I admit this made-up sport is the best part of this book thus far. The end of this book is exhilarating, but what does it all mean? We donât get a lot of answers, but we sure get action-packed sequences of intense heroics. Darcy and Tory are heroines after all and not just magical misfits. This story read and ended far better than the last, but the slow start and strong finish writing style is predictable.Â

Now this is more like it.
Now this is more like it. The writing improved so much in this one, and adding multiple POVs was a game-changer. It made the story feel more dynamic and gave me a better connection with the characters.Letâs start with Tory & Roxyâs revenge game. Petty? Yes. Chaotic? Absolutely. Entertaining? Beyond. They are menaces, and I love them for it.Seth is the definition of emotional whiplashâone second, I want him obliterated, the next, heâs curled up wolf-cuddling with the guys, and Iâm like⦠fine, you can stay. And then thereâs Lance and Darcy. MY HEART. The forbidden tension, the push and pull, the sheer angstâI am obsessed. Also, why do I actually like Tory and Caleb together?? The whole âhuntingâ her dynamic?? Yeah, that works for me.Speaking of dynamics, Darius and Lanceâs bromance is top-tier. These two are disasters, but theyâre each otherâs disasters, and I love that for them.Xavier, though. My poor soft boy. He deserves so much better than Daddy Acrux, and I really hope someone gets him out of that hell soon. And letâs talk about Geraldine. She went from who is this?? to an absolute comedic gem. Plus, the Caleb-loving-pegasus rumors?? I was crying. This book had better pacing, better character moments, and so many laugh-out-loud scenes while still delivering on the drama and tension. Already dying to see whatâs next.

I liked this more than the first.
This book continued to build the series in such a fun way. The relationships that Darcy and Tory each have with the Heirs in interesting. This book is the first time we get perspectives from characters other than the twins, which is really fun and adds so much. The world building is done in an easy way where we learn along with the twins and it never seems overwhelming.I dropped my jaw at the first Darius chapter. It was a big reveal and done really well. The drama in this series is balanced with comedy in a really fun way. The Orion/Darius relationship is series but their banter is good. I was kicking my feet at the idea of them running back to each other.A lot of this book is spent at a party. I like seeing everyone outside of the school setting, Orion especially. We learn so much more of his backstory with his family. Plus, we get to meet the Heirs parents and learn more about them.I thought the pool scene was so creative. The banter between Darcy and Orion is so good. That scene was so exciting but also kind of heartbreaking.I love this and canât wait to read the third.
Book Binge: Reviews by Mel –
This is my third read through of this series and I still love it just as much each time!! This book is one of my favourites as the relationship between my favourite couple (Darcy and Orion) starts to develop. The main reason I love this book so much however is the revenge that Darcy and Tory get on the heirs! For being these big, bad heirs they really canât take any heat and itâs freaking amazing!! I loved how the twins really started stepping up and growing into their fae selves.I loved how Geraldine really starts to grow in you as a character in this book. We also start to learn about pitball in these books which sounds like an awesome game. And the game played was epic, including the battle at the end.If you read the Awakening and wasnât sure if you would enjoy the rest of the series, please, please continue. Each book just gets better and better!!

I`m completely obsessed by these series. It is just a shame that there is no PT/BR edition and some of the volumes are difficult to find internationally

“He kissed me like he wasn’t allowed to kiss me, but if he didn’t he’d die”.Io sono totalmente, follemente e incredibilmente innamorata di questa saga.
