Superior Comfort, Seamless Compatibility
After trying out a few third party accessories which always turned out to be junk, I caved and bought the official Meta Elite Battery Strap. And boy am I glad I did! It has a very premium look and feel and is very sturdy, unlike the flimsy third party straps which felt like they were going to fall apart. This thing extends your battery life by ~2 hours, basically doubling your battery life, it is much more comfortable than the stock strap, and what I really like about it is that the battery from the strap is used first, before the headset. You can also see the battery level of the headset and extended battery separately inside the headset. You can charge this battery strap and the headset at the same time and using only one cable, and itâs also worth mentioning that the Meta official charging dock actually charges the strap AND the headset at the same time! I will be going with Meta official accessories from now on as that seems to be the way to go! Sure itâs a bit on the pricier side, but you definitely get what you pay for with these Meta official accessories!

Stable connection, long length, lightweight, and charging capable!
After trying many different cables, this is the cable I’ve landed on and it works flawlessly! The Meta Link cable uses fiber so it is able to deliver USB 3.0 5Gbps speeds at a much longer range than copper based cables. Also if you have a power delivery USB-C port on your desktop/laptop then you will be able to keep the headset charged while playing.Other USB C to C cables use copper so they are much thicker/stiffer and can’t go as long (longest I found was only 2.5M).The Meta Link cable is very light and flexible and also comes with a little cable strap, so you can tie it to the side of your headset so you don’t feel a cable pulling down on the headset.I am very happy with this cable due to its:* length, which allows me to cable manage it around my desk and into my sim rig* weight, which makes it easy to forget about when using* ability to charge while playing (granted you have a power delivery port)* stable connection, I’ve raced hours at a time without any hitchesI know this cable is pretty pricey, but you get a really high quality cable for it. If you’re really budget conscious, search Amazon for fiber USB C to C cables and you will likely be able to find cables for slightly less (but still more than a copper cable). But remember a high quality copper cable will be stiffer and can’t delivery high speeds at a longer length!

Great, while it worked but possibly a little too fragile for regular klutzy folk?
Got this so I could develop VR apps on my Quest 1 running the Unity dev environment on my PC for fast scene iteration and play exclusive Rift / Steam VR games.I had bought some other compatible Link cables before the official Oculus cable was available/in stock which worked but these cables were a lot less convenient as they were fairly inflexible and shorter at around 10ft so I felt tethered to the PC by something that could do double duty towing fully laden oil tankers. The Oculus cable worked great initially, plugged into a powered USB C expansion card so it was able to keep the headset charged even during heavy use and was flexible so there wasn’t the same degree of annoying drag on the headset. The Oculus PC app also reported I was getting full USB 3.2 speeds so performance was spot on.My issue is similar to other reviewers, I wasn’t super careful with this cable and recently saw a right angle kink in the cable where it probably got caught under something and then yanked or bent. When I foolishly tried to straighten it out I felt/heard a nasty “tink” noise, which I assume was one or more of the fiber optic cables cracking and now the cable doesn’t work correctly.I’d love to replace my broken cable with another Oculus Link cable as it really is the best wired Oculus Link experience I’ve tried but at $80 (or ~$70 on sale) every time I or my family is momentarily careless around one of these cables that could turn into a really expensive hobby so I’m probably switching back to the cheaper, heavier, slower but more robust cables unless I can get AirLink working?

It’s the best cable for Quest Link
I avoided this cable for years because of its bad reviews, high return rates, and high price. In doing so, I probably spent more than the price of this cable on junk cables, only to come back and ultimately buy this overpriced cable anyway. And I love it. It works better than wireless (and I sit just a couple of feet from the router), does a pretty good job keeping the Quest 2 charged during gameplay, and delivers superior graphics and frame rates compared to wireless link.As for the claims of ruining the immersion, your mileage will vary. I use it for Flight Sims, primarily DCS. My helmet IRL has a cord coming off the back that plugs into the helicopter anyway, so I just use the attached Velcro strap to fasten the cable to the back of my Quest 2 strap, and I don’t even notice it. It’s actually less noticeable than the real thing. The bottom line is that I should have bought this cable first and “cried once” instead of wasting so much money on other junk cables that don’t measure up. It’s a reminder that you should always buy the best tool for the job the first time.

When you try to charge the battery, the status LED lights up for 30 seconds, and then goes off. The battery does not charge at all. For something so expensive and so simple, this is downright ridiculous.Apparently this is a very common issue – do a quick search and you will find out about this. Until the issue is fixed, I cannot recommend this product to anyone.

Iâm really impressed with the Meta Portable Case. Itâs lightweight, super sleek, and fits my device perfectly. The build quality feels premium, and it offers great protection without being bulky. Also love how easy it is to carry aroundâperfect for travel or daily use. Definitely worth it!

A bit pricy but it just works. Improves video quality greatly. Recommended if you don’t want to have a router specifically setup for VR only. The cable is long enough and added weight is barely noticeable.
